It was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Image
stood in the middle of the ring, surround by the LAW audience, surveying the ring around her and approving of all that she saw. She had to give management credit - they’d followed her specifications for this match to the letter. Pumpkins adorned the walkway around the ring, scattered about, each of them with hand-carved faces. In front of the announcer’s desk, a table was set up with bowls of candy and a pitcher of orange Kool-Aid. They’d even decorated the ring, adoring the ropes with fake cobwebs, and changed them to black and orange.

Everything you’d need for the perfect Halloween-themed matchup, just as she’d envisioned. When Halloween had signed up for LAW, she’d only had a few requirements - one, her match with Death Bunny, and that box was ticked. But she’d also explicitly stated that she was owed one match during Halloween-time, and she was overjoyed to see they’d remembered it. The only thing missing was her opponent, and she would get to that. But first…

”Well, look at all of you!” Halloween waved out to the crowd, microphone in hand, as she pranced about the ring, soaking in all the cheers. ”That’s what I’m talking about. This energy. This vibe. Dama De Los Muertos loves it. So, tell me Japan: Do you like scary movies?” The crowd cheered, enthusiastic and eager for the bloodbath. She strutted from one side of the ring to the other, with no shortage of swagger in her step.

”That’s what I want to hear. You came for the horror. You came for the fear. You came for the feeling that only your favorite dead girl can bring you, and don’t worry - I’ll bring the goods. But what does every good horror story need?” She looked from side to side with wild eyes. A victim. So let’s bring her out, shall we?”

Halloween tossed the microphone out of the ring and faced the ramp with a mischievous, malicious grin, waiting to see who would be coming her way. She hadn't been apprised of who her opponent would be, only knowing that it was someone new to the roster. She was more than willing to give the newbie a proper LAW greeting.

Comparing this debut to Kazue Eto's nearly 6 others was...definitely a task in of itself. She'd been told about the seasonal adjustments to the LAW ring, but no words could quite describe the makeover that had been done to the place. Pumpkins, different lighting and other decorations to match the haunting aesthetic that was Halloween. She never understood the holiday, aside from having an excuse to dress up into costumes, whether they be silly and joking or intricate and seriously crafted. But the spooky theme? The haunting effects and decor? That didn't make sense, and even unnerved her a little, at least until she stepped onto the top of the ramp.

She let the lights cascade onto her, and allowed her 6 foot 1 inch stature to display the presence that she hoped to have in LAW: one of a woman who was here to claim victory and dominate. To mixed reactions to the crowd, some of appraisal and cheers, others to perhaps shock or wonder as they considered the matchup that they were about to be witness to. They seemed to mean nothing to the Japanese giantess though, as she strut down to the ring. Her eyes scanned over Halloween, gazing upon her gothic aesthetic and skimpy attire. What Kazue wore wasn't exactly modest, nor did she seem to be disgusted about it. There was nothing on her face but a blank sheet. Her focus was steadfast apparently, not here for the pleasantries or to appease to the crowd like most, especially Halloween.

Climbing into the ring, she bent over and went through the top two orange ropes; the only time she was ever not standing straight up during her entire walk to the ring. Meeting with her opponent in the center, she looked down at Halloween with her one eye, "You'll find me no victim, but I can appreciate your commitment to the holidays." The larger woman's voice was surprisingly soft compared to her entire visual, including the resting bitch face that stayed plastered across her features. Her tone was definitely less emotional than most, but it seemed that was more of a byproduct of her being focused.

Now that they were standing next to each other, the size mismatch was as clear as day, the LAW newbie standing a full foot above the maniacal Halloween! If anything, this got the fans even more excited, their cheers still remaining at a constant level despite nothing happening yet.

Well, hello there.

There was a split-second where Halloween thought she was facing Death Bunny again. Really, how many six-foot-tall purple-haired women could there be in LAW? In the world? What would be the odds of her taking two back-to-back?

Whatever the chances, they were definitely in her favor tonight, because that was exactly the case. Halloween found herself looking down the ramp as a titan of a woman made her way down, one with a striking look. The fashionista in her appreciated the getup - the tie, the suspenders, the boots, all wrapping up a thick, powerful body. Kazue made an impression straight away, as she stared her way with a stony gaze, as if she saw nothing else but the ring and her opponent.

You’d think someone like Halloween would be freaking out to face a woman so much bigger than her, and she was. A little. But she was far, far more excited at the prospect than anything. She bounced from heel to heel, a giddy smile across her face, looking like a Trick-Or-Treater with a bag full of Snickers. Taking down big girls was her lifeblood, the sort of thing that always got people talking. No guarantee that she could pull it off, but the reward was so worth the risk.

”Look at you. Alto, moreno y guapo,I dig it.” Halloween rubbed her hands together, hopped a couples steps back and wiggled her fingers as she lowered into her wrestling stance, ready to pounce. ”Say you’re not gonna be my victim, huh? I say you’re just whistling in the graveyard.” She blew the big girl a kiss and winked. ”Prove me wrong.”

The referee called for the bell and Halloween immediately went into action, darting around the ring, strafing around her bigger foe. She didn't go dashing in just yet, but kept a healthy distance, trying to get a gauge for how fast this woman was and how she fought before she committed to anything big.

Face to face, well as close as they could be given the difference in stature, Kazue and Halloween stood in the center of the ring. The rowdy woman Kazue was facing definitely struck her as someone to be wary of. From her near decade of experience in the squared circle, she knew that pure confidence and charisma usually only meant one of two things: that they were way in over their heads or they were skilled enough to back up their words and actions. In the case of her opponent tonight, the Twilight Tower was sure that Halloween had quite the skillset.

"I plan to, you should have no concern for me." she said in response, keeping it short and to the point. If there was a part of her skillset as a wrestler Kazue could improve on the most, it'd be her charisma, both for the fans and for taunting/teasing her opponents. But, that wasn't her style, and she didn't plan on doing anything about it.

DING DING DING

The bell rang, and Halloween was quick to strafe and move, circling Kazue as if the taller woman was the prey meant to be caught in her spooky web. Immediately just from this display, it was evident in her eyes that the skimpy woman was leagues faster than her. This would prove challenging, a small theoretical game popping into her head. Kazue being the cat, and her opponent being the mouse.

Not committing too much, more so testing her opponent, the Twilight Tower in the center of the ring would make her first move. Suddenly taking one large step forward, she would try to reach for Halloween...or rather get as close as she could. It wasn't a likely outcome, but at the least she'd get a better grasp at the agility of her opponent going forward.

So serious, this one. So stern. Halloween loved the strong, silent types, they were always so fun to mess with. So focused on being these statues that they let the whole act get to their heads and forgot that wrestling was, first and foremost, supposed to be fun. She swore that, aside from winning the match, her main goal was making this Purple People Eater corpse before the bell rang.

Halloween stayed on her toes, practically dancing around the ring, her feet barely touching the floor. ”Gotta keep up, Giganta.” She picked up the pace, slowed down, and sped up even faster than before, making it harder for her opponent to predict her pace. ”Not gonna make it easy for you, gonna make you work for this-”

The thing about big people? They took big steps. Not fast steps, but when you covered all that ground in a single bound, it could make up for slowness in a way that might catch you off guard. That was the case here, as Halloween found Kazue advancing her way in a hurry, coming at her with deadly open arms, like she wanted the world’s deadliest hug.

Not happening. Nope.

Halloween waited until the last possible second, ducked under Kazue’s arms and came out behind her. From here, Halloween could have done several things. Could’ve hit her opponent with a dropkick. A chop block. Maybe even go for a reverse hurricanrana.

Instead, she reeled back and gave Kazue a big slap on the ass, before happily Moonwalking away and waving as she went.

"I would prefer if you stayed still, but that is wishful and ignorant thinking." Kazue talked back plainly as she reached and failed to grab at the speedy woman. Ever word was carefully placed...just like:

SMACK~!

Halloween's hand slaps away at Kazue's butt which barely peeked through the shorts on the backside. She wasn't particularly gifted back there, but it was enough to get a bit of jiggle even as Halloween did her fancy escape from Kazue's clutches.

Whilst a failure of an exchange, that was expected for the silent but now moving statue. Her opponent was incredibly fast, able to react correctly despite being surprised by her advance. A direct approach would just put her at an immediate disadvantage, that is, unless she had a more layered plan to possibly flip the script.

Turning, Kazue glared and placed hand where the slap impacted onto her booty. It didn't hurt, but it was more a blow to her pride if anything. The illustriously colored tower would begin to move, trying to corner Halloween to likely no success. Was it a ploy to lure her into a false sense of security, perhaps, but primarily it was to try to get the easier way to success before resorting to other things. 'Other things' being a more risky ploy; countering one of Halloween's cocky and quippy strikes or moves once she escaped.

Kazue, taking that single step again to close the distance, would try to just about get chest to chest with the holiday-themed wrestler. Assuming she could, she would actually wait, seeing which direction Halloween would dodge in first and try to grab an arm before she slipped away!

”Damn straight it is.” Halloween wasn’t nearly stupid enough to take Kazue head on. She was a daredevil, but that didn’t mean she just threw herself into suicidal situations - her risks were calculated, measured, purposeful. Taking a chance was fine, but it had to lead to something, not just letting herself getting flattened. She didn’t mind, but she wasn’t into being smacked around for the sake of it.

Hit and run, guerilla tactics. That was the Halloween way of doing things.

”So close!” Halloween whistled and shook about her hand, enjoying the short jiggling show before Kazue turned to face her. Looking a little perturbed, the cracks were already beginning to show. How much further could she break down that facade? Maybe even get her legit angry? That’d be fun, too.

Kazue wasn’t deterred by her antics and came in again, this time with a slower gait, trying to cut off Halloween’s escape routes. Smart move, but the Tiny Terror had been here before. Couldn't go left? Couldn't right? Might’ve been a problem in a 2D world, but Halloween had more space to work with. She hopped back, then dashed forward, ducked down, and tried to baseball slide between the twin tree trunks that Kazue called legs, making her way out to the other side. If she could get clear, her next move would be to pop up, spin about, leap up and shoot a dropkick at Kazue’s midsection, starting pour on some real damage.

Halloween wasn't like other swift strikers that the Twilight Tower had faced before. Despite acting cocky, she was calculating every single movement and dodge, making sure to keep proper space against the larger competitor.

It was commendable really, a tinge of respect shining through the glare her one eye gave. Through all the witty quips and snarky comments, there was an intelligent fighter who knew what she was doing.

The plan went well it seemed, Halloween forced to dodge or become trapped. Sliding through the giantess' legs, Halloween escaped being cornered. This was the moment Kazue was waiting for, and didn't even try to close her legs so her opponent's journey to the other side was clear.

'Got you,' thought Kazue, taking a deep breath before making sure her left foot was anchored. Not even looking back at her opponent, she'd throw her boots backwards looking to catch Halloween in the gut before she could try to get back on offense!

Keep it moving, keep it moving, mantenlo en movimiento.

Speed kills, and Halloween had a ton of it. She had to, when facing someone like this. Kazue was a daunting tower of power, a walking fortress of a woman, and she could undoubtedly wreck her shit if she caught her, but that was a big ‘if’. As long as she stayed one step ahead and scored hits wherever she could, she was confident that she could chop this tree down fast, and she was well on her way to doing just that. Or so she thought.

Reality came crashing down on her all at once, in the form a donkey kick to her chest. The blow hit with enough force to knock Halloween clear off her feet and send her rolling on the canvas, a path that took her under the ropes. She was only just able to grab hold of the ropes before she could tumble to the floor, leaving her on the edge of the ring.

”Well, shit. Thaaaaat sucked.” Grumbling, she started to pull herself up, trying to stand up on the apron, knowing she wouldn’t have too long before Kazue came after her and wanting to be prepared when she did.

In an instant, the game of cat and mouse had been flipped on its head as the heeled boot of Kazue would strike at her opponent with thunderous force! The tides were shifting, and Halloween was gripping onto those orange ropes for dear life: them being her only way of not quite ceremoniously falling to the hard floor outside the ring. It was like a weight had temporarily been lifted from Kazue's shoulders, and she turned around after rolling her shoulder her in a tight circle.

Her eyes, narrowed but more relaxed than when Halloween was putting on her show. There was an opening, a crack in the nimble yet tough armor that her opponent had displayed thus far.

Making her way across the ring, she'd pick up speed, but knew even after a thundering strike such as that kick that a full on frontal assault would be asking for retaliation. So, she took a page from her opponent's book and got crafty. Presuming that Halloween would wait on the apron, perhaps to dodge or perform some other counter, she'd instead grab the rope and trying to violently shake it to throw her off her game...and then bring a boot up through the top two ropes!
