The crowd gasped out as Lotus managed to power her shoulder up just in the nick of time. The look upon Drifter spoke more than words… she thought she had done enough, but Lotus refused to stay down. The referee signalled it was only a two count, and Kay looked almost deflated as she slowly slunk herself from Lotus' form, fearing that the heavyweight might try and grasp her or worse if she stayed down with her.
The crowd continued to chant for the lightweight, hoping she could achieve a David and Goliath victory. She was still on her feet, she was still in the match. With Lotus being down and still recovering, Drifter once more began to approach the turnbuckle. Her movements were somewhat sluggish, her spine giving her troubles after the crushing embraces and terrible slams.
However… she had to keep going. She positioned herself on the other side of the ropes, waiting and watching for Lotus to rise. It was clear she was seeking to hit a Wayward Strike.
"You can do this…" Kay whispered to herself… waiting for the right moment, for Lotus to stagger to her feet.
The moment she would rise, Drifter would make her move, flipping herself up onto the ropes despite her ailments, looking to launch herself towards Lotus! The issue was when she jumped, the pain shot through her ribs, making her gasp and falter.
She did not get the distance she wanted! This left her open for a potential counter from Lotus who could potentially catch her form… if Lotus failed however, Drifter would catch her in the stomach instead of her head with her famed and deadly flying forearm!!

Re: Ninjutsu and the Way of the Fist [Drifter Vs Lotus]
The Lotus screwed her eyes shut and grumbled gibberish as she sucked in heavy breaths, leaving Drifter ample opportunity to scale a corner and prep herself for another high flying maneuver. Thoughts of vengeance clouded Miyuki's mind by the time she recuperated enough to get back into the fight. She ignored the agonised groans of her own body and pushed herself onto her feet, not even bothering to raise her guard.
Her eyes widened when she spotted her opponent sailing through the air towards her direction. Operating on instinct alone, she tried to catch Drifter and then slam her down. However,- "Gark!.." She slipped past the Lotus's grasp, striking her cleanly on her belly. The brutal blow knocked spittle out of her lips and knocked her flat on her back, her eyes already rolling into the back of her head. Her body shuddered once before it slackened and she succumbed to unconsciousness, her chest rising and falling at a steady pace while she slept.

Re: Ninjutsu and the Way of the Fist [Drifter Vs Lotus]
The double stomp had been bad enough moments earlier, but the sound that echoed out when Drifter landed her Wayward Strike was something else! The crowd gasped out loud, as a thud was heard from even the backrow seats. True, Drifter normally aimed for the face with her deadly strike, but her leap had been long and demanding, and to say the end result was not as devastating would have been a bold face lie. Drifter rolled as she landed, ending in a stylish half crouched pose, before she watched as Lotus simply crumbled before her like a statue collapsing under the weight of great turmoil.
The way she landed suggested she would not rise any time soon, and Drifter wasted no time. Despite her pains, despite all the complaints of her body, she scrambled to pin Lotus, not wanting to waste a moment, hoping that this time it was enough to keep the giant of a woman down! If she flicked out this time, Drifter was not certain she could keep going... she knew she would be in grave trouble! No... it was not time to think like that... instead she just threw her arm over Lotus' chest, lying down against her, signalling for the referee to slide over, beginning a pinfall attempt once more!
1...!...
There was the longest of pauses...
2!!!!!.....
Drifter held her breath...

Naturally, no response came from the Lotus when she was pinned by Drifter. "Nhhhh..." Miyuki merely moaned faintly as the referee completed the count.
"Three!"
The bell rung right after the three count, confirming Kay's victory. At the same time, the crowds rose up in cheers at the unexpected development of her hard-fought comeback win.

Re: Ninjutsu and the Way of the Fist [Drifter Vs Lotus]
Drifter had done it again... She looked like she had been struck by a bus, but she managed to stagger to her feet once the bell began to ring and the cheers came raining down upon her. The referee held Drifter's arm up, creating another wave of cheers and celebrations. None could deny that the match had been a belter, and despite Lotus being a heel, the two had certainly put on a great display tonight. Drifter clutched her side, no doubt feeling the effects of the match catching up, all too aware that she would feel it even worse for the coming days, but she remained on her feet and kept her hand raised for a moment longer, enjoying this growing sensation as it seemed Drifter continued to pick up fans and traction.
"Hey... that was a good match. Ever wanna' go again... I'm always game." Drifter called out to Lotus, seeing the poor woman was still down. She would have offered her a hand up, but Drifter was in a bit of a state herself and she would probably cause more problems than she would solve. Still, she tried to give a respectful nod to Lotus. For certain the woman had been a menace, but the fight was over now, and Drifter believed heavily in leaving any grudges in the ring to diminish (save for Sandy White of course). After revelling in the celebrations, Drifter soon began to gather her things, before making her way back up the entrance ramp, tagging what hands she could before she would retreat to the locker room.... hopefully Clara would give her a nice massage tonight.

Re: Ninjutsu and the Way of the Fist [Drifter Vs Lotus]
"Mmm?.." The Lotus let out a confused groan as she groggily blinked awake. The feeling of being on her back while the lights flared overhead instantly informed of what just transpired. "No!" She snapped as she sat up, almost headbutting the referee in the process. However, when she hurriedly surveyed the room for Drifter, she was no where to be found.
"Tch..." Miyuki couldn't help clicking her tongue. She rebuffed the ref and pulled herself onto her feet. Then she marched out of the ring and up the ramp, still trying to exude pride and power in her stride despite coming out the loser of the match. Her wrath needed something or someone to be physically vented.
