Hiromi Rondo vs. Astrid Ostberg - Power Blitz!

Finally, Hiromi managed to escape the sleeperhold after struggling and squirming. Staggering on her feet, the Japanese rookie took her time to regain her breath as she would then plant her feet on the mat, hoping to recover as fast as she could.

Then, she would turn around to face the Norwegian, hoping that she could find a weak point that she could capitalize on. Thinking that she found one, she would launch herself towards Astrid, yelling out a hot-blooded cry as she would try to hammer her forearm right into the upper part of the Norwegian's chest, hoping to stun her with the strike!

Forced to release Hiromi, Astrid went stumbling back a few steps. Her balance teetered, but she wouldn't slip up, and she dug her heels into the ground to try and stabilize her stance. All the same, Astrid couldn't deny that Hiromi hit hard, and her stability had been tested. It would soon become apparent just how much, as Hiromi went charging back at Astrid and struck her in the chest with her forearm! Letting out a groan, Astrid fell back to her knees, shaken off her footing.

Hammering Astrid's chest with her forearm, Hiromi stood in front of the Norwegian who had dropped onto her knees. She would bend down, grabbing Astrid in order to pull her back up, wrapping her arm around her head. This time, she planned go for a powerful move, in which she would hold onto Astrid's head tightly as she would drape the Norwegian's nearest arm to the back of her neck.

Then, she would reach for her waist before exerting her strength in order to lift her up into a vertical position. Her muscles would bulge under the weight of her opponent, but she would make sure to try the move by bringing Astrid head first into the mat with a brainbuster!

After Hiromi made impact, Astrid was still left reeling - and Hiromi evidently saw the opportunity she was presented with, and made a break for it! Before the blonde could fully get back up, Hiromi was already on it, grabbing her head and hoisting Astrid straight into the air. The Norwegian woman's eyes went wide as she took in the sudden change in altitude, but nevertheless she grit her teeth, trying to bear it out and deny Hiromi the chance to gloat about it. She started to struggle - but nothing Astrid could do would save herself from what was to come, as Hiromi struck her straight into the mat! The ring shook with such a crash, and the crowd erupted into cheers and applause from Hiromi's fit of strength, managing to upend even Astrid. After something like that, Astrid wasn't about to get up right away.

The impact from the brainbuster should be enough to take Astrid out, Hiromi thought. After bringing the Norwegian down head first into the mat with the move, Hiromi would release her before sitting up, taking a look at her opponent. Knowing that Astrid wouldn't be able to move right away after taking the brunt of the move, the Japanese rookie would then make sure that Hiromi was laid out on her back before getting herself on top of her, pressing her own bust against her abdomen as she would also reach for one of Astrid's legs, going for a cover.

Seeing the pinfall attempt done by Hiromi, the referee would get herself next to them and start counting for the pin, slapping the mat.

"ONE!"

Even as the first second was counted, Astrid's head was still a blur, having taken a hard landing on the mat. She winced, twisting herself back and forth with her teeth clenched tightly as she tried to stir herself back awake, but the throbbing pain in her head persisted.

"TWO!"

The counts were building still, but some thoughts of lucidity were beginning to reach the blonde. She knew that she still had her dignity - and headache or no, she wouldn't be losing to just anyone, to a rookie - even one who was certainly making for a worthy opponent - so easily! She grit her teeth, starting to lean closer, drawing on the strength she needed...

"TH-NO!"

Just as the ref girl's hand was about to touch down another time, Astrid suddenly kicked out, throwing upwards her full weight to jostle Hiromi. And if that worked at getting her off, she would kick out again in a rather different way - aiming her boot for the Japanese girl's side!

As the referee counted for the pin, Hiromi thought that this was it. She believed that the brainbuster should be enough to take Astrid out, which would give her a win here in LAW for the first time. She kept herself on top of the downed Norwegian, believing that the match was already over. But, much to her surprise, before the referee could finish the count, Astrid suddenly kicked out, breaking the pin and stopping the referee from counting. Hiromi's eyes were as wide as saucers as her opponent kicked out.

"W-wha... urgh, d-dammit..." Hiromi grunted, letting out a hiss of frustration when it turned out that the match was still far from over. As she planned to attack Astrid again, the Norwegian suddenly kicked out again, hitting her at her side, causing her to groan in pain. "Urghh!!" She winced, forcing her to scoot away from her opponent, nursing her aching side. She would keep her eyes on Astrid to see what she would do next.

Astrid slowly rose to her feet. Her head still throbbed with a bit of an ache, and she paused a moment to rub her temple, trying to dull the pain. But it wasn't going to stop her for long, when she looked back to see that she had a perfect opportunity for revenge, now that Hiromi was down. The kick Astrid had aimed for her had succeeded at its purpose of slowing her down, and she was now standing above Hiromi, poised to take action.

"You're good," she said to Hiromi. "Anyone who can come that close to a pin has to be doing something right, yeah? But I'm still in this..." Bending down, Astrid tried to capitalize on her position of power by scooping Hiromi up and draping her over her shoulders for a torture rack!

Hiromi was still trying to recover and regain her bearing when Astrid stood over her. The Japanese rookie tried to get into action, but the Norwegian managed to act quicker than her by grabbing her body, scooping her up before putting her on her shoulders, where she ended up being put into a torture rack. Hiromi's eyes widened as she found herself being subjected to such a hold, and as her back was being wrenched hard on her opponent's shoulders, she couldn't help but let out a pained cry.

"Aaaghh!! Aaaaggh!!" Hiromi couldn't believe that she was experiencing this, considering that it would be hard for anyone to lift someone her weight. This was a testament of Astrid's sheer strength, who managed to lift Hiromi up onto her shoulders and subjecting her to a torture rack. Her pained expression fully showed the agony she was experiencing at the moment, and as she was put on the Norwegian's shoulders, she could only struggle and flail helplessly, hoping to find an opening where she could try to escape her predicament.

Hoisting Hiromi onto her shoulders, Astrid certainly did feel that she was a heavy weight on her back. Astrid was strong, certainly, but she was still coming off of a blow to the head, and she hadn't quite fully recovered. Nevertheless, it wasn't enough to compromise her to the point where she couldn't secure the rookie in place atop her shoulders and press down on the hold, contorting her spine. The screams coming from Hiromi were testament enough to that.

But in her current state, and with Hiromi's mass, Astrid couldn't keep the hold up forever. Her weight starting to tip beneath her, she bent forward, trying to brace herself, and spread her legs to distribute the force. But it was only staving off the inevitable, as Hiromi grew too heavy a weight for Astrid to bear. Eventually she fell off her footing and crashed onto her knees, forced to release her!
