Mask vs Mask: Katherine Hart vs Gato

Gato was done… and this wasn´t surprising. She didn´t just fall from a high point onto her neck… instead she was slammed right onto it. Her opponent had pulled her down putting as much effort into this as she could to make the fall and the impact as powerful as possible and the Mexican woman would now pay the price for it. Her beaten and hurting body was laying on the ground. All she could do was keep her eyes open somehow while groaning out loudly. This wasn´t good… Her opponent wouldn´t waste much time and pulling her closer to the center of the ring before setting her up. She would place her knees on her chest while also grabbing the legs of gato. The legs of the Mexican woman were pulled as high as humanly possible without snapping her into two.
Gato would groan louder while her opponent would push her legs down and her shoulders onto the mat. The referee would go on… “TWO” while the crowed was counting along loudly trying to fire both up to give their best… although most knew this was over…

"THREE!"

It was a bittersweet end. Either girl winning or losing would have upset some of the fans. But for a match of this magnitude, with their masks on the line, the result had to be decisive. And the result was that Katherine Hart successfully pinned Juana Carmen. Katherine remained atop Gato for another couple seconds. The bell rang and the crowd reacted. She'd eventually pushed up off of Carmen's frame and stood up straight.

Conflict was all over the face of the Super Kitty. She dreaded what came next but she tried to overcome her feelings and help Gato up. If the Mexican Wondercat accepted her help, she'd lean in and get close to her fellow luchadora to give her a hug.

"There's nothing I can say to make this better or easier. I'm sorry." She said as she hugged her opponent tightly. Hart would take a few seconds to try and ease Gato's feelings as well as her own. She would then back up and hold her hand out towards Gato to wordlessly demand the mask with her gesture.

"I don't want to do this, but not doing it would be disrespectful to luchadoras everywhere..."

Gato would lay on the ground… breathing heavily, looking to the ceiling. She wasn´t doing all to well her neck was hurting badly and she would feel the rest of her body in pain as well. Then she suddenly saw how the other woman was offering her hand. The crowed would go totally wild meanwhile celebrating this great intensive match. The Mexican woman would reach out with her hand and would take the hlp getting pulled up into a hug. She would groan for a moment while her body was still in pain.

The American woman would step back and ask for the mask wordless… Gato was taken by her pride and would follow up directly. Slowly she would lift her hands up brining them behind her head to grab under her mask and untie a few ropes. Then she would pull the mask forward over her head and hold it in her hand before handing it over to the other woman. She would slowly lay the mask into kat´s hand, while she was doing she would look a bit sad before stepping back.

As Gato handed over the mask, Katherine was visibly struggling to hold back the tears from streaming down her face. She'd step towards a sad, dejected Juana and give her a hug. If Gato accepted, thunderous applause would rain down from the audience. Katherine would raise the Wondercat's hand to honor the lucha libre tradition of putting one's mask on the line. She wasn't proud of having to do this, but she was proud of the match the two put on together.

"I hope we meet again, Juana." Kat would say whilst standing next to the former luchadora. She'd begin to clap for Juana before wrapping things up. It was a bittersweet end, but it was a match that many would remember for a long time to come....
