Trisha Andrews vs. Sheila Chihara - Strength of Will

Trisha had taken the senton from Sheila, and she was currently on her belly. She struggled to breathe after taking her opponent's weight, and it seemed that it was the right opportunity for Sheila to capitalize on this. Sure enough, Sheila went to sit on Trisha's back before she went to put her into a camel clutch, clasping her hands together under her chin before she started yanking at it.

"AAAAHHHH!!!"

Trisha cried out in pain as she was being subjected to the submission hold. She could feel the pressure on her neck and back as Sheila kept pulling her head back in the camel clutch. Desperate to free herself, Trisha tried to get her knees on the mat, but for the time being, she remained trapped in the hold, having trouble to find a way out of it.

Trisha had an edge on Sheila not only when it came to experience, but also in size. While they both fit into the middleweight division, Trisha was larger and physically stronger, and her approach to wrestling had taken advantage of those facts, with her being able to throw her opponent around with ease. But Sheila could still whittle her down, targeting her with submission moves and holds to sap her stamina, and now that she had her opponent in position for a camel clutch, she was going to take it! Even if it didn't get Trisha to submit, it could still weaken her and make things easier for the Australian. If it did, of course, that would be even better!

A grin came to Sheila's face as the rush of having her opponent at her mercy, after she had fought so long and hard to obtain the advantage, encouraged and emboldened her. Gritting her teeth, Sheila pulled back harder, arching her back and deepening her position as she sat down on Trisha's back. The veteran was able to get her knees underneath her, helping to offset the weight from Sheila bearing down on her, but for now, she wouldn't let go; she was too determined to!

The more Trisha endured the hold, the more painful it got, and she would get her knees on the mat so that she could begin moving towards the ropes. The pain made it hard for her to focus, but she would soldier through the hold, slowly moving towards the ropes even as Sheila yanked her head much harder.

"NGGAAHHH!! MMGGHHHH!!!"

It was clear that Trisha exerted herself to move towards the ropes, and she knew that if she managed to get the ropes for a rope break, the damage would already be done, but she needed to free herself. If she stayed in the hold for much longer, she knew that her chance to win this match would become even smaller, even if the hold didn't make her submit.

Now that Trisha was beginning to move underneath her, Sheila clenched her teeth and sucked in a breath, trying to tighten her grasp around her opponent's chin. The pressure was on! If Sheila could get the veteran to submit now, she had the match won, but if Trisha made it to the ropes, she'd have to relinquish the hold. While she hoped she could get an edge on Trisha this way, Sheila would still have to be cautious when it came to a foe as capable as Trisha had proved herself to be!

With each inch she crawled, Trisha rocked Sheila from side to side from her position atop her back. She winced, trying to ride out the motions, and she bucked her hips up and down, her thighs clenching tigher against Trisha's sides to try and stay on. "C-C'mon..!!" Sheila groaned in frustration, but no matter how hard she tried, Trisha was still moving closer and closer to the ropes, and soon, they would be just within her grasp!

Trisha would keep moving forward, however slow her progress was. The pain was getting more and more unbearable as time passed on, but she refused to submit, or at least not yet. Eventually, she would be able to reach the ropes, and her hand would shoot towards it, and she would grab it, clinging onto it like a lifeline. Seeing this, the referee would tell Sheila to let go of Trisha.

The pain from being subjected to the camel clutch left Trisha drained. Her dark skin glistened due to her sweat, and she would remain on her belly for a while even after being released by Sheila. In order to recover from the damage that she had taken, she would need more than a moment, and she didn't have such a luxury, considering that she was still having to deal with her opponent.

"Haaaa... ghhhhh..."

Sheila's heart was pounding in her chest. She still had her hands wrapped tightly around Trisha's chin, and with the veteran growing weaker beneath her, she could tell the clock was ticking. Just a little longer with this, she thought, and she would have the match won! A victory over such a more experienced foe would definitely be a major moment in her career, and she could feel it coming! But, at the last moment, Trisha finally managed to reach the safety of the ropes - and with her hand reaching out to secure the rope break, Sheila had to let go.

Huffing, the Australian rolled over onto her knees. She shook out her hands, getting herself recentered and focused on the match ahead of her. It had been disappointing that her hold had been broken, but with all the punishment she had dealt out to Trisha's back, her opponent didn't look like she was about to right herself any time soon. That only worked in Sheila's favor, and she soon felt the strength return to her, as she got to her feet with a smile on her face. Now she had the opportunity to set up her next move - and she ran across to the ropes on the other side of the ring, prepared to bounce off of them and come back toward Trisha to hop up and land a leg drop on her!

Even after being freed from the hold, Trisha couldn't get herself up immediately, and this only gave Sheila more chance to deliver her attacks. As Trisha focused on her own recovery, Sheila went towards the ropes before launching herself back towards her, and then, she went for a leg drop, bringing her leg down onto her body.

"UAAHHH!!"

Trisha cried out in pain as she took the hit. For the time being, she became an easy target for Sheila, and even if she was pretty close to the ropes, she couldn't capitalize on the break that she could get, and Sheila would be free to do whatever she wanted to her without having to fear about reprisal.

With her leg coming down on Trisha, Sheila could feel the rumble going through the canvas as the impact of their bodies shook the ring. She heard the cheers go out from the stands, too - and she was excited, a grin spreading over her face. Sheila felt like she was closer than ever to securing victory, and against a veteran at that! She could just imagine how much news it would make for a Young Lioness like her to dominate the competition, and the fans knew it. It could be an underdog victory in the making - but of course, the match wasn't over yet!

With Trisha stunned, Sheila took a moment to pant for breath, getting her senses about her. All the same, Trisha had still been stunned, and Sheila had time to spare. She did, however, note that her opponent was within range of the ropes, and any attempt to pin her or put her back into a submission could easily be broken. Sheila would need to bring Trisha to a more advantageous position, and she rolled off her back, straightening herself to her feet. From there, she would grab hold of Trisha's legs, hoping to drag her to the center of the ring. She clenched her teeth, summoning the strength she'd need to move her foe.

Trisha was still in pain after taking the leg drop, and Sheila thought that it was risky to go for a pinfall close to the ropes. So, she decided to drag Trisha way from there, bringing her back to the center of the ring, presumably to make it harder for her to reach the ropes. Sure enough, now that she was in the middle of the ring, a rope break was impossible for her.

For the time being, all Trisha could do was bidding her time, waiting for the right moment to strike. She knew that her body was still hurting at the moment, and she would take all the time she needed to recuperate. She would try to find an opening that she could use to turn the table, though so far, she hadn't seen any of them yet.

It took Sheila some time to move her larger opponent into a more advantageous place for her, but, eventually, she had steered the veteran into the middle of the ring. Sheila had taken a good few bumps over the course of the match; she knew she wasn't at her full strength, and the soreness in her muscles was setting in. As she left Trisha go, she stopped for a breather, straightening her back and wiping her brow as she panted for breath. By the time she looked back down, however, Trisha was still prone, looking vulnerable as ever. A smirk came to the Young Lioness's face as she surveyed her handiwork - had her camel clutch really kept Trisha down that long? Evidently, it had! She'd have to make a note of that.

Regardless, she knew she couldn't stand back for long, and she would need to make her move! Bending down again, Sheila moved to roll Trisha onto her back. If that went off without a hitch, she would get on top of her, going to hook her leg for a pin!
