Re: Overcoming Fire (Hangaku vs. Yoko)

"A-Augh... Ugk-!" Just breathing was hard enough, but the harsh stomps scrambled Hangaku's already scattered thoughts, her mind focus at each hit solely on survival.

And then, the rage built.

"Fr... iend..." As garbled as it came out, the venom in it was laser focused. Hangaku's pain-addled body was motionless for a moment, forced to endure the harsh grind of Yoko's boot as the woman taunted and teased the Warrior's predicament. Himeko... The thought... only sparked a flame. "Ough!" And as Yoko's boot pushed against Hangaku's stomach, her mind went back to her "friend's" words.

"You wanna' blame someone, blame yourself for dicking around."

"... ... ..." Fine... Fine then, Himeko...

"ONE!"

Don't blame me awakening your Warrior and Pillar.

"T-!"

Hangaku's body immediately snapped into action. A short breath was all it took to harden up her core, and her arms moved to wrap themselves around Yoko's ankle. "She's not my friend." It was all Hangaku could rasp out before shooting her body off the the side in order to break the pin and take Yoko's leg with her.

"What's that, runt?", Yoko would taunt her rival as she twisted her foot in Hangaku's stomach: "Speak louder!"

And she did, loud enough for Yoko to hear as the crimson warrior grabbed at her ankle:

"What are you---AH!"

Yoko yelped as Hangaku suddenly and swiftly shifted under her, keeping a hold of Yoko's leg!

"Let go you weakling!", Yoko would cry out as she tried to punch at Hangaku!

Hangaku refused to let go. It might had looked like a dying animal's last bit of rebellion, but the Warrior held tight to Yoko's leg, only shooting her a sharp glare in response to her words. "Ggnh!" The punch forced her head to whip back a little, but her hold on the woman was maintained, Hangaku keeping her narrowed eyes on the woman. "That woman... is my Princess." She said the phrase through bitter, gritted teeth as if acid, coiling her body tighter against Yoko leg, dedicated to being heavy weight upon it.

"And my Princess gave me an order to earn my place as Pillar."

"What in the...?"

Hangaku tanked the punch. A lightweight took a full power punch from her, a heavyweight, and not only dind't fall, but kept a grip on her leg.

The lightweight was definitely not a prey, Yoko believed as her eyes opened wide in surprise:

"Don't give a shit about royalty shit...fight me!", Yoko would scream, trying to wind up her hand, and ram the flat of it into Hangaku's chest for a Knife Edge Chop!

"Gnh!" Hangaku's shoulders flinched, the top of her chest throbbing red as the chop came down on her bare chest. It got a wince from both the warrior and crowd both as the woman's legs buckled a moment. But still... she gripped Yoko's leg tight, only staggered a step as her frigid eyes narrowed toward her opponent. "You want a fight." It was a question, but she'd answer it regard. "I don't." She kept her hold on the leg, moving her body to force all her weight in one direction and using Yoko's ankle as a fulcrum to try forcing Yoko down. Holding onto a lightweight was one thing, but holding onto gravity and physics was another.

No matter how much Yoko tried to strike her rival down, she was absorbing her strikes much to her shock...

Hangaku answered her, before twisting at her leg to force Yoko to drop down onto her side. Unbelievably, Yoko needed a moment to collect herself, her own fall hurting her as she hissed in pain, trying to find her way back to her feet!

There was a near silence from the crowd as they witness what seemed to be a miracle in the making, seeing a much larger woman being toppled by someone that seemed half their size with what looked like little effort. From an outsider's view it was nothing short of a mystical feat. But for Hangaku, it was a matter of physics, practice, and positioning. And that apparent miracle seemed to have her opponent just as stunned as the awing audience. "... ... ..." But the Warrior wasn't interested in playing a fair game and letting Yoko get her bearings. No, this was about survival now, her throbbing body was proving that. She had to work fast while she still had the momentum.

"Don't hate me for this." The words came out with frigid hostility, almost close to sarcasm as Hangaku got to work. With Yoko down it was the perfect time to try and work a submission in. So she moved fast, wrapping her arms around Yoko's ankle and legs around her thigh, quickly straightening her body out while forcing Yoko's leg to straighten out and stretch at an odd angle, forcing in a harsh kneebar.

Yoko, a Heavyweight, was toppled by Hangaku, a Lightweight. This wasn't too shocking to the blonde, she had been taken off her feet by smaller women before...but not practically tossed around like they were superheroes! Hangaku was also far from done tormenting Yoko for the woman's earlier bullying, trapping her in a hard kneebar as she bent her leg at a painful angle!

"GRAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!", Yoko roared in pain, wanting to punch at her rival, but with her own big body, she was unable to reach Hangaku. She punched her fists into the canvas in frustration. Only hope of escape outside of ropes for now was to try and kick at her foe...but with how the hold was positioned, it made it incredibly awkward to strike with it...

With that, she started to drag herself and Hangaku towards the ropes for a break!

Locking a hold was one thing, and an easy thing at that once one was at the right angle. And in most cases it'd be an instant tapout with something like a kneebar. But Yoko seemed to be made of tougher stuff. Whether out of pride as a Heavyweight or greed for the monetary prize, Hangaku found herself being dragged along the canvas toward the ropes.

And Hangaku increased the torque on Yoko's leg, arching her flexible body back further to really make Yoko's trek as long and painful as she could make it. She couldn't stop Yoko, but she could do as much damage as possible before she had to call it quits. Every tick of damage was a tick in her favor.

"GRRRRRRH...LET GO YOU LITTLE FUCK!!!"", Yoko cried out as she dragged herself towards the ropes...but she wasn't tapping. She could burn the money if she wanted to. She could take a pinfall loss from anyone...but a tap out, from a foe she originally deemed inferior? Her pride simply couldn't take it.

She dragged herself to the ropes, grabbing it with her hand!

"LET GO!!!"
