Katori Kimura vs. Nana Yoshida - Start of a Lasting Bond

Katori was brought down to one knee thanks to the quick recovery and thinking of her rookie opponent, the thought made the Mighty Successor feel very impressed with this girl as an amused toothy smirk formed on her face. But this wasn't a good position for Katori, as she was left open for Nana to take advantage of.

Fortunately though, the Wrestle Angel wasn't hopeless without options. When the young Yoshida came dashing at her, Katori sees that leg coming up at her head and fast! Just before it lands, Katori raises her arms up at the near last second to block the kick. She certainly felt the impact of the blow, despite her small frame, Katori felt the power behind it and it even knocked her down onto her back thanks to being on a single knee.

The second she landed back first, Nana immediately threw herself onto Katori, going for the pin right away as she hooked up a leg as the ref-girl comes down to make the count. Katori chuckled at this, she bucks her hips and raises a shoulder right as the ref made the first count to break the pin. In that moment, the Mighty Successor will use this moment to grab Nana then use her bigger body frame to roll over and straddle the young girl while holding her wrists down.

Katori will look down at Nana dead in the ends with a smirk, shaking her head both to her and the ref-girl to clarify this wasn't a pin attempt. "That was a hard solid kick, however, it isn't enough to bring an opponent down for an easy instant win. Don't get cocky like that again, kiddo!" Katori says to reprimand the girl, keeping Nana held down to see what she'll do in this position under the Wrestle Angel.

Nana smirked as she knocked Katori down but as her leg met with with Katori she noticed that Katori was able to get her arms up to defend the kick. Nonetheless without skipping a beat she still pinned Katori but she would kick out of the pin. Nana smirked until she realized that Katori transitioned the pin into Katori straddling her and holding her wrists down.

“Eh was trying to be like big sis there…” Nana admitted as she knew that Katori had the advantage over her now but instead of giving any offense it seemed Katori was trying to do something else, what was she planning exactly? No matter Nana needed to get herself out of this situation.


She knew with Katori having the weight advantage going ahead and trying to bring her legs back to try to roll her up would not be the right move because Katori might be expecting it. So instead Nana would bridge up, while doing would circle her hands out of Katori’s grasp and bucks Katori forward as she quickly rolls out of the way. Nana quickly turns around getting in position ready to sprawl if Katori would try to come back at her.

After stopping and reversing a futile pinning attempt on the Wrestle Angel, Katori rolled over on top of Nana and straddled her while pinning her wrists down to hold her like this. Her smirk dropped from her face and turned serious as she looked down at the younger girl, waiting to see what she'd try to do to get out. From that combo of kicks, Katori can see the potential in this kid and wanted to see it for herself, make Nana push past her limits and overcome her challenges that wrestling will present her, all while going all out against her in this match.

Katori waited as the girl slightly struggled underneath her while whining about wanting to be like her big sister, it wasn't a bad thing to be like an older sibling you admire, but right now as a rookie and this early in the match that kind of tactic won't work against a fresh veteran. Soon enough, Nana finally made her move as Katori felt herself being pushed up as the young Yoshida girl used her legs to push herself up with her opponent! Katori's eyes widen in response, really not expecting this maneuver at all, to the point where the sudden buck Nana did made the angel loosen her grip on her wrists and slip out from under her.

The Mighty Successor had slight trouble regaining her balance, but once she did, she scanned her surroundings looking for Nana, seeing her getting ready for Katori to come at her if she will. For that little trick, Katori did a slight nod with her head, really impressed with the Yoshida's tactic while her expression remained serious. But now things will get harder for the girl, as Katori will run towards Nana and attempt to grab her by the ankles, lifting her legs up and trapping them under her arms as she'll drag the girl to the center of the ring in preparation for her next tactic!

Nana was able to escape from under Katori thankfully, Katori was really trying her best to keep giving Nana hard time in trying to escape. Nana Looked over the veteran wrestler who seemed to be doing more than just wrestling Nana. It was as if she was trying to evaluate Nana. But why would Katori want to do something like that? What was she interested in? Maybe this was just her trying to psyche Nana out. She looks at Katori sinking down to a fighting position waiting for Katori to stand back up. Choosing to sit back allowing Katori to stand back up to her feet.

Nana watched Katori closely and saw that Katori would indeed to run towards Nana trying to shoot in on her legs, trying to grab them, mostly her ankles. Nana would jump up and lands on Katori in a sprawl position allowing her legs to be away from Katori's grasp. Nana looks at Katori and soon rolls on top of Katori's back and is now behind Katori. She rushes towards the ropes and rebounds off of them and when Katori would turn around she would go to kick Katori in the chest with a drop kick!

As another way to try and test Nana's potential, Katori ran up at her young opponent and attempted to pull her legs out from under her to make her fall onto her back. The idea was to lock in a submission hold on the young girl and see how she fared against in terms of endurance and perseverance.

Unfortunately, that plan wasn't going to happen at all right now. As the Wrestle Angel made a move to grab Nana's legs, the young girl jumped up and over her, rolling on her back to get behind Katori leaving her wide eyed. Just as the Mighty Successor turned around, her opponent was already in the air throwing her legs at Katori's chest, hitting her her hard with a Drop Kick which knocks the angel off her feet and onto her back!
