"Amazon" Alaina Sander-Haines vs. Gemma Faraday: A Battle of Pride

Alaina sent Gemma packing to the mat again, and now she wanted to keep here there... but decided on an unorthodox way to do it. The big amazon ran towards the nearest ropes at full speed, leaping up onto the middle rope. As she sprang back she spun around, extending her legs! Alaina was trying to hit a springboard leg drop on Gemma, hoping to flatten her to the mat after the slam! If Gemma moved, it was sure to be a nasty landing for Alaina but if this hit it could lead to a quick pin attempt by the bigger woman!

Gemma was left writhing on the mat, her back aching from being driven first into the turnbuckle, then straight into the unforgiving ring. She lay there a moment, staring up at the arena lights ... until her vision of them was blocked by the sight of Alaina's thick thigh coming down at her, from the springboard leg drop!

Gemma tried to twist out of the way, but her aching spine wouldn't allow her to do it in time. Alaina's leg came down hard on the punky Brit's upper chest, causing her legs to kick and spasm into the air, bucking with the force of Alaina's impact. Gemma lay sputtering on the mat, body twitching in pain while she lay beneath her foe. Gemma's hands clenched and unclenched, her face scrunched up in agony while she lay there, absolutely rocked by the Amazon.

"F-fuck ... " Gemma groaned, "guh-gonna ... make you pay ... for that!"

Alaina stuck the landing and shift herself to lay across Gemma's chest and reached down to hook a leg, going for an early pin!

"ONE!"

"Girl, you gotta do better than that. You showed me a lot more in that tag match..." Alaina said to Gemma whom had just promised to make Alaina pay. She knew Gemma was tougher than this and seeing her taking hit after hit was painful, but Alaina was going all out so she had to keep focused, ignoring any feelings of sympathy. She remained atop Gemma as she saw the referee's hand continue to rise, holding her breath to see how long Gemma would stay down!

Gemma grunted in frustration as Alaina sank her heavy body into her, and yanker her leg up into the air. The ref's hand came down, with Gemma trapped hard against the mat and reeling hard in pain.

"TWO!"

Gemma braced her palms on Alaina's shoulders, and shoved with everything she had. Before the ref could come down for the final count, Gemma shoved Alaina off and broke the pinfall. Gemma winced, as she gasped to replace the air in her suffering body. Every part of her ached, but what really stung was knowing that her opponent had a point. In the tag match, Gemma had put up a hell of a fight- even got one over on the Amazon! Now, she was just being humiliated. Gemma's mind raced for a plan, trying to figure out how to get on top of the Amazon once again! For now, though, all she could do was catch her breath, and try to work through the pain ...

Alaina felt Gemma kick out and she rose to her feet, moving away to watch Gemma. As soon as she began to rise the amazon would take off for the ropes, bouncing off and flying right back at Gemma! Alaina wanted to jump up and launch herself at Gemma with a cross body block to use all the momentum she could to hammer into the smaller woman! Alaina wasn't trying to give Gemma a chance to get back into this as she knew if Gemma strong together her varied offense she could take it to anyone quickly inside the ring!

Gemma coughed and sputtered, as she rolled up to her side. Her face was deep red, blushing pain, humiliation and mounting anger. Gemma knew full well that she was getting her ass kicked, but the veteran Amazon wasn't someone she could rely on making a mistake. Before this got much further, Gemma was going to have to make an opening, instead of waiting to find one!

Getting back up, Gemma's brown eyes went wide as she saw Alaina come flying into her with a cross body block! "AH!" Gemma cried out, just before Alaina's muscular form came crashing into her. Gemma went down easy, grunting in pain, but she tried to keep her head. Alaina came down hard, but Gemma wouldn't allow her to stay there. As soon as she could, the punky Brit would bridge, trying to roll Alaina off of her before she could trap Gemma in another pinfall.

Alaina went sailing right at Gemma... and then right over her! Alaina landed hard on the mat, getting the wind knocked out of her! She groaned and wheezed a bit, getting back up to her feet and cradling her abdomen. She was still trying to recover from her miscue, giving Gemma a chance to move in and attack! This was bad, as Alaina remembered what Gemma could do in a short amount of time to a wrestler inside the ropes. Alaina had to keep her head on her shoulders if she wanted to avoid a repeat of what had happened during the tag match.

Gemma let out a loud gasp of air, after she'd prepared for the worst ... and instead found herself sliding the Amazon's muscular body right over herself! Gemma heard the loud impact of Alaina hitting the ring mat, shaking her out. Gemma took to the bridge, excited, drawing her body long and lean and putting on quite a show for the fans, as she took a brief moment to celebrate not getting squashed to a pancake by her powerful opponent!

Coming out of the bridge and kipping up, however, Gemma knew she couldn't rest on this laurel too much. Alaina was a powerhouse, and she could easily get right back on top. Gemma couldn't let that happen. Alaina got back up to her feet quickly, cradling her ribs. A fortunate thing for Gemma, as the Brit realized she had an opening. Stepping forward, Gemma thrust her right leg up and outward, aiming a superkick square at the jaw of the Amazon, looking to stun Alaina in dramatic fashion!

Alaina rose up right into the super kick, dropping her to the mat in a heap! She groaned as she rolled, her hand covering her jaw. Alaina knew she couldn't rest and had to shake off the blurry visioned daze she was in! The amazon staggered back up to her feet again, trying to key in on Gemma and focus. The last thing she needed was a shot like that again. She knew she was in trouble, but she didn't want to give Gemma the satisfaction of staying down so easily even though that super kick had indeed done a number on the big amazon.

Gemma looked up to see Alaina scrambling to her feet, and her eyes went wide at how tough the woman was. For the Amazon to not even stay down, after a shot like that ...

However, immediately after, Gemma recognized the punch-drunk state of the Amazon's walk. God knows Gemma had seen herself do it enough times, watching back tapes of her own matches. Alaina was vulnerable, if Gemma acted quickly!

Pushing back the pain she was in, Gemma backed off and ran for the ropes. The punky British high-flyer was quick on her feet, even when she'd absorbed as much damage as she had in this match, already. Gemma rebounded off the ropes, dashed forward, and then threw herself up into the air when she got close enough to Alaina. As long as the Amazon didn't get her wits and coutner her, Gemma looked to level the staggered woman with a high-flying dropkick to the face. Gemma leapt into the air, compressed herself tightly around her abs, then released with an explosion of force, thrusting her legs out from her core, hoping for the best!
