Onigashima vs. The SoCal Connection - Ogre Invasion!

Sending Kayla crashing down into the mat face first with her finisher, Yukari knew that this was her chance to end this match once and for all. Huffing, Yukari brushed aside some stray strands of hair off of her forehead before she went to roll Kayla over onto her back. Still, as she focused on trying to pin Kayla, Ashley seemed to be planning to stop her from doing that.

But Shizuka saw what Ashley was planning, and she would not allow her to stop her friend from going for the victory pin. Seeing Ashley rushing towards her friend, seemingly planning to stop her, the red-painted oni would rush towards Ashley in order to intercept her. She hoped to catch her while she was on the act, planning to deliver a rising knee strike right at the side of her face. "H-hold it right there!!"

As for Yukari, she would try to put herself on top of Kayla, hooking one of her legs for the pin.

Kayla's whole face was numb, and her breaths came in slow and weak as she tried to focus. She had definitely taken a devastating blow, and with how worn out she had grown over the course of the match, it wasn't going to do her many favors for her performance from here on out. All she could do was weakly look over at her partner from where she lay. If Ashley just got there in time, she might be able to win this...

...But Shizuka came through in the end nonetheless, halting the charge of her fellow redhead as she threw her knee right at the girl's head! Letting out a squeal, Ashley went tumbling off her feet, rolling onto her side and halting her in her advance. Thus stalled, Kayla was open to take the pin, as the ref girl dove in to start the count!

With Ashley stopped by Shizuka, Yukari would be able to go for the pin unhindered by any outside force. Now the only thing that she would need to worry was that Kayla kicking out. Yukari had already put herself on top of Kayla, hooking one of her legs as she went for the pin while the referee started counting for the pin, slapping the mat next to them.

For a while, nothing else registered in Yukari's head except the referee's voice. The three counts felt too long, and she wasn't sure if she could hear the third and final count, but then, the referee brought her hand for the third and final time, cementing the victory of the ogres in this match.

"THREE!"

And with that, the match ended. Yukari breathed out heavily as she would get herself off of Kayla, still trying to register what was happening as the referee called for the bell, bringing the match to its end.

Ash was still clutching her head from the impact by Shizuka's knee, but as she heard the ref beginning to count, she knew that too much hung in the balance. If she didn't get to Kayla in time to break up this pin, all would be lost! And after her partner had taken a move like that, Ashley was sure that she would be out for a while. Granted, Ashley wasn't in much better shape...but she went for it nonetheless, moving her other hand out to try and drag herself closer!

But it was still too little, too late. The third count sounded, and Ashley was left where she was, slapping the canvas in frustration. "Dammit...I was so close!" Kayla, meanwhile, rolled up to her knees as Yukari got off her, panting for breath and wiping her brow. She scooted closer, watching the two oni girls as they were announced victorious.

The match ended with Onigashima's victory, and Shizuka couldn't help but threw her arms up, cheering very loudly before she rushed towards her partner and gave her a big hug. "We did it, Yukari-chan! We did it!!" She exclaimed happily as she had her arms wrapped around Yukari, looking very pleased with their victory.

"Hehe, we wouldn't make it without you, Shizuka-chan..." Yukari said, also hugging her partner back. Then, the referee came over to them, and both onis then had their arms raised as they were declared the winners of this tag-team match. The crowd was impressed by these newcomers, and they certainly expected more from them in the future.

After celebrating their victory, the two of them looked at their opponents whom they defeated. Grinning, Shizuka spoke to them. "Well, you two are pretty good, gotta give you that..." she said, showing no hard feeling towards them despite fighting them earlier.

Slowly working off of the weariness that came from pushing themselves to the limit, Ashley and Kayla straightened themselves, getting off the mat and watching as their opponents celebrated their victory. Ashley groaned to herself, crossing her arms in frustration. She was disappointed that she didn't pull through in such a close squeeze. "No fair..." she muttered to herself. But Kayla elbowed her in the side to quiet her, politely standing and applauding her opponents on their performance. No matter how Ash wanted to spin it, they had won fair and square, and they deserved the respect.

Afterward, Shizuka approached the two of them, and Kayla looked back up at her with a smile. "Thanks," she said. "I gotta hand it to you...I wasn't sure how much you could pull your weight in the ring at first. But you really proved you have what it takes. I think you're gonna go far." She held a hand out towards the red oni, offering a handshake.

"And the costumes are sick," Ashley added.

Both Shizuka and Yukari beamed happily upon hearing the words from their opponents. Overall, there was no hard feeling despite how intense their fight earlier. Shizuka shook hands with Kayla, looking pleased that their team got the recognition she thought they deserved. "Hehe, thanks. Painting the whole body was a bit hard, but it's all worth it"

Yukari also went to shake hands with their opponents before they continued celebrating their hard-earned victory. Soon after that, they would make their way back to the locker room, looking satisfied with their first win in the promotion.
