Summer Sonnet: Jessie Alexander vs June McKinley (D)

June smiled excitedly as she stood backstage in preparation for not just any match but her DEBUT match in LAW. It wasn't that long ago that she had left Spirit and been signed by the premier organization known as LAW but it took some time to organize her first match in the promotion but she was looking forward to showing that her debut would be worth it. Looking up and getting the signal from a backstage worker the bubbley blonde would nod and eagerly make her way to the starting position as her music began to play.

Coming out from behind the curtain June would smile brightly out at the crowd, posing for the fans who cheered even louder for her as she did so. Luckily LAW was based in Japan so many of her existing fans crossed over nicely but a little strutting never hurt to get anyone on the fence more into her. Especially given how good June knew she looked in her attire, after all she may have been a southern Belle but she wasn't ignorant. But she would be sure to show everyone that she was not just a pretty face.

Smiling brightly as she entered the ring fully June would give one last pose for the fans as she'd then make her way over to the corner, opting to lean patiently into it. Even if every part of her was bouncing in excitement for this match to start. Granted it was against a young lioness, a trainee wrestle, but June saw it as a chance not just for herself but also for this young lioness to show what they were made of and June would be sure to make it a great contest for all the fans to see!

[Pegasus]

Jessie couldn’t remember the last time she was ever really booked for a match. She had spent most of her time touring the indies with Sarabeth and Matilda all around the world that LAW became a distant location for her. She eventually got the call that she was going to be someone’s debut opponent so she couldn’t complain too much about showing off. At least Jessie knew it had to be somebody on her level. The theme song would start as the steampunk and inventor started making her way out in her timeline period appropriate clothing.

Jessie came out raising her cane in the air and she nodded to the cheering crowd as she made her way down the ramp. This opponent was someone she couldn’t quite research on, but Jessie heard she isn’t new to competing in Japan. Still, Jessie needed to be careful about underestimating someone even if they were going to give her a competitive match. Jessie came ringside and took off her hat and set her cane aside as she rolled into the ring going to an opposing corner to stretch out her legs!

June smiled softly, bouncing from one heel to another as she watched the entrance ramp as her opponent came down to the ring allowing the blonde to finally get her first look at her foe. 'Huh that's an interesting look.' June thought to herself as she took note of the heavy looking, steam punk inspired attire of the girl as she entered the ring and took her place at the corner. Stepping forward to the center of the ring June would smile pleasantly at her foe and extend a hand outwards to the lioness with a sparkle to her eyes. "Hey there! I'm looking forward to this match! Although are you sure about that fit? I wouldn't want you to overheat competing against me." June said as a playful taunt while smiling competitively as she waited to see if she would accept the handshake.

Like any good-mannered wrestler, Jessie shook her hand and smiled warmly at June laughing a little at her taunt. “I get a bit self-conscious wrestling with half of my clothes on. This attire is light and cool enough to wrestle in. I’d be more worried about not flopping in your debut.”

Jessie took a step back as the referee reviewed the rules with the women and kept them separated before calling for the bell as both blondes circled each other. Jessie decided to play it defensively to give June a chance to show her what this farmhand can really do.

June smiled softly and chuckled slightly as she heard the returning jab of her opponent after her initial tease. "Heh, well fair enough but trust me darling, I ain't worried at all about this debut." June said confidently as the two then let go of each other's hands and began backing off from one another, putting her fists up in preparation and as soon as the bell rang she'd march forward right away, aiming to lock up with Jessie right out of the gate, aiming to show off her strength as she muscled and attempted to bully Jessie right into the corner!
