Valerie Lexington vs Hortensia Aster (D)

Post by MrBrightside »

Standard Match
Win via pinfall or submission

The name Aster held a lot of prestige in English high society. The Aster patriarch had built his fortune through prizefighting and his daughter currently carried on his legacy. Somehow, Valerie never got the chance to meet the Aster family before. Anytime there was an opportunity something would always come up and their paths never crossed.

Until now that is.

When Valerie learned that she would be facing the Aster daughter she was ecstatic. She wanted to put her skills to the test against an opponent of such renown. But her excitement would soon be tempered when she realized that she would not be facing Ivy Aster, but rather her younger sister Hortensia.

While Ivy Aster was considered a prodigy, Hortensia was a lesser known entity. The girl hadn’t even competed in an official match yet. She was likely to be inexperienced compared to her elder sister. But if she inherited even half of her family’s skill and talent then perhaps she’d still provide a decent challenge.

Valerie wasted no time heading down to the ring. She paid no attention to the fans in the crowd as they were not worth her time. Instead she simply slid into the ring with no care for pomp and circumstance and waited to see what her opponent would bring.

Hortensia Aster was finally stepping into the ring. For much of her life, most everybody, Hortensia included, never imagined that she would be here. Because for much of her life, Hortensia hadn't wanted to be here. But then she saw her sister Ivy fighting in LAW. There was just something different about it compared to watching Ivy wrestle back home in England. Something that drew Hortensia in a way that made her want to do it too.

So, two years ago, Hortensia decided that he would follow in Ivy's footsteps and join LAW as a wrestler. She had been 16 at the time, so that two year wait was out of legal necessity, more than anything else. Not that the wait wasn't a good idea regardless. Hortensia hadn't had half the training or experience that her sister had. She needed that time to learn the ins and outs, so that she'd be ready to stand in the ring today.
Music
Hortensia's music came on, and she burst from back stage into the arena. The crowd knew who she was. They knew her sister, they'd heard some of the stuff she'd yell at her from the crowd. They already loved her, and Hortensia loved the crowd. She was sure that they also loved her body once they saw it as well. Hortensia was worried that she'd stay tiny forever when she looked the same at 16 as she had at around 12, but during her training, it had finally happened. The same puberty truck that had hit Ivy had hit Hortensia as well, and just in time for her debut.

Hortensia jumped into the ring, hurdling the top rope to do so. She was fond of showing off, after all. It was then that Hortensia got her first in person look at her opponent: Valerie Lexington. The name Lexington sounded vaguely familiar. Very likely British as well, if nothing else. But while Hortensia liked to have fun and enjoy life, she was a fair bit sharper than her general disposition let on. Her initial read on Valerie was a woman who expected her name to precede itself, and was a risk to get pissy if she caught on that Hortensia had no clue who she was. And while Hortensia was not remotely above trolling or rage baiting, she had the awareness to not do that to somebody she was about to fight. At least if she didn't know she could dominate them. "Ms. Lexington, a pleasure!" Hortensia said. "I must admit, my sister was worried when she heard you were my opponent. She said you were more suited to fight her, than to be my debut opponent. But I'm not backing down!" A complete lie, Ivy had no clue who Valerie was either. But it should keep her opponent's ego stroked, possibly even to the point of overlooking the younger Aster.
