Match Type: Standard
Alaina was in shock at the upcoming match. She had wrestled Valley Doll before... but not this one. The amazon certainly was no stranger to this woman. Alaina had met her, trained with her a bit and tagged with her. To say that she was impressed was an understatement. Alaina knew this match was going to be a knockdown drag out battle.
Clad in her leopard print one piece swimsuit with matching kneepads and boots she was backstage doing her last minute stretching. Alaina was going to go up against a fellow powerhouse and she was excited about that.
Her music played and Alaina came out flexing hwr biceps, smiling and looking quite energetic despite her age. There 51 year old was going to come, slam and conquer her talented younger opponent. Alaina high fived fans down the ramp and arrived at the ring. She climbed up onto the apron then through the ropes. Alaina flexed again and strut around the ring and posed before settling into her corner waiting for Valley Doll with a big smile on her face.

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
Alain Sanders.
Valerie was going to wrestle Alaina Sanders.
Former heavyweight champion, Alaina Sanders. The same Alaina with a winning streak longer than all the matches Valerie had in her entire career, easily. The same one that her mother had gone to war with more times than she cared to count. She was 51 years old, sure, but experience-wise, this woman had forgotten more about pro wrestling than she knew, no question. She'd seen her in action before, sure, even tagged with her, but this was something new, this was...
This was something. This was big. Was she ready for this?
Probably not.
Valerie shook her head as Alaina’s music played, doing her best to deal with the nerves. Her mother had warned her about this when they talked over the phone last night. Alaina was just a human being. Yes, a legend, but she wasn’t without her own advantages. She had speed, she had youth, she was fresh. If she could put it all together in a package and push it with courage, she would win this.
Valerie had actually asked her mother to come over for support, but she’d declined, saying she didn’t want to steal the spotlight or make this some kind of reunion with Alaina. This was all about VDIII. This was her time. Valerie appreciated the sentiment, but still…
She didn’t have time to ponder it anymore, as her was playing and the stagehands were ushering her forward. It was time.
With a deep breath, she came through and made her way down the ramp, keeping her eyes focused on the ring all the way. While she was never the most energetic when it came to entrances, she was more stoic than usual today, as she did her best to tune out the world around. Only the ring mattered.
Valerie made her way up the stairs, ducked under the ropes, approached the center of the ring, and promptly bowed to Alaina. ”Alaina-san…Ms Sanders.” She straightened up, but kept looking down, as if staring her opponent in the face would’ve turned her to stone. ”Thank you for…I mean, I really appreciate this, it’s…it’s honor to, um…”
Damn it, she was already messing this up, and the bell hadn't even rung.

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
Alaina had stood in her corner with her hands on her hips shaking out her legs when Valerie came down to the ring. Alaina was still in shock that someone she had personally seen as a baby was now stepping into the ring to be her opponent. The fact that she hung on long enough for such a thing triggered a little voice in her head that said she may have hung on too long but she dismissed it. She could still hang and in her own mind she was proving as much tonight as Valerie probably thought she herself had to prove.
Once Valerie got into the ring Alaina smiled to her and extended a hand. "Valerie no need to bow to me. Show me what ya got. I know you can hang with just about anyone in between these ropes." Alaina said.
After a moment when the bell did ring Alaina would circle and hold her hands out looking to kick things off with a test of strength. "I know I have some pounds on you but you got all that rock hard muscle, youth and vigor. Lets kick this off properly." Alaina said hoping that Valerie accepted the opening challenge.

‘Some pounds on you’.
That was a nice way of putting it, but Valerie thought Alaina was being a little bit modest. While the two of them were nearly the same height, they were built differently, and it was a noticeable difference. Valerie was by no means small, but she was a middleweight - a heavy middleweight, but still in that class. The woman standing in front of her, however, was a heavyweight, and the heavyweight standard of LAW at that. She outweighed Valerie by at least twenty pounds, and from the looks of things, none of that was fat.
Usually, Valerie could claim a power advantage. Today, she wasn’t so sure. But there was only one way to know. In for a penny, in for a pounding.
Valerie accepted the test of strength, planted her feet, and began to apply pressure. Strong as Alaina was, that didn’t necessarily mean Valerie couldn't win here, Test of strength were as much about leverage as anything. If she could find the right angle to push, ground herself, and work from there, then maybe…

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
As their hands clasped Alaina began pressing with all she had! The entire body of the amazon was trembling, shaking and straining. Her face was demonstrative of her effort as she grit her teeth and grunted. She was going all in on this and knew that Valerie was an incredibly strong woman. She couldn't afford to give ground or momentum.
Alaina pressed and looked into Valerie's eyes as she did. She wasn't going to stop but she knew that her opponent wasn't going to either. This was not going to be won easily or quickly...

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
Valerie wasn’t used to being overpowered.
Being honest? She was not a fan.
She pressed her feet down, drove forward, did her best to create a solid, unshakeable foundation hold the Amazon back, but Alaina just…kept…coming. Not quickly, mind you, she was slowing down the incursion. But stopping her? No, that was not happening, not unless she managed to suddenly put on thirty pounds and grow three inches. She would need a better plan, pure power wasn’t going to do it.
Valerie abruptly shifted gears. Instead of pushing, she pulled, falling back and seizing Alaina’s arm as she went. She tumbled downward, pulling her opponent’s arm in, twisted about, and tried to use the woman’s own momentum against her, looking to send her flying with an arm drag.

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
Alaina was making progress as she pushed but Valerie had other ideas. The amazon felt herself leave her feet and fly through the air with a loud crash as she landed hard to the mat! Alaina hit the mat and groaned, rolling over to push herself back up to her feet. She wasn't moving slow or anything, but this had created a small window of opportunity for Valerie to act if she moved quickly. Alaina was just trying to rise and turn to face her so she could get her eyes back on target as quickly as possible.

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
It worked.
Don’t celebrate, it was just an arm drag, not her finishing move. It would only matter if she followed up with something worthwhile, and she had precious few seconds to make that happen.
Valerie pushed to her feet, spun about, and came rushing in on Alaina, closing the distance before the woman had a chance to act. Not wanting to try anything fancy on her foe, she went with a more basic attack - leaping up, shooting her strong legs out, and trying to drive her heels into the woman’s chest as she executed a dropkick.

Re: Generational Battle: "Amazon" Alaina Sanders vs. Valley Doll III
Alaina was starting to get up trying to think of what she was going to do to Valerie once she got her hands on her but that was interrupted by a dropkick to the chest! "Ugh!" Alaina groaned as she crashed right back down to the mat on her back! She shook her head and grit her teeth, trying to sit back up before pushing herself up to her feet. This was not a good pattern that was emerging.
She was trying to get up but Valerie was doing a really good job of preventing the amazon from rising back up to her vertical base!

Valerie was doing it. Deep inside, she knew she shouldn’t be that excited about beating up a woman over twice her age, but screw it - she had the energy, she had the momentum, and it felt great.
The dropkick worked perfectly, bringing Alaina crashing down once more, and Valerie was already rolling to her feet an instant after her hip touched the canvas. As the Amazon rose, she came in again, knowing she couldn't give her foe even a moment to catch her bearings. She reached out, seized the woman’s arm, ducking her shoulder and tried to come out behind her with a hammerlock, looking to lock her down.
