Another day, another bout. After back-to-back PPV matches it seemed liked LAW wanted Sophia back on the regular card with one unfortunate cost, she was pitted against a jobber....
"This has to be a joke, right?" Sophia sighed disappointedly looking at Phoebe's past matches on her phone in the empty locker room already in her proper wrestling attire.
"My first match back on the regular and they're just sending me cannon fodder?" Sophia continued in her downer tone of voice as everything about this just feels wrong. The superhero doesn't at all hate jobbers, she more than understands how hard it can be starting off in an industry like pro wrestling. At the same time, she doesn't need to be pitted against jobbers just to be added to her victories in the company, she would rather a hard-fought match clash of two well trained wrestlers and while both girls were heavyweights it was so no secret Pheobe wouldn't stand a chance against a titan like Gloria Star. However, a match was a match and Sophia had to do it, if not people would think she's scared to fight against someone whose practically a local talent doing this obviously unfair match for some recognition and a good paycheck. So even if it doing this match was against her morals, she simply had no choice. The pouting blonde pushed on the bench to get up for a light stretch to loosen up before heading straight to the ring.
And her opponent, from Washington DC, GLORIA STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
As soon as Gloria's theme blasted around the arena, strobe lights of red, white and blue went around like wildfire as the curtain was pulled back showing the American superhero hitting her iconic pose as she stood tall with her hands on her hips with a bright smile to the crowd. After a moment or two the blonde titan began to strut down to the arena trying to keep up the appearance she's excited for the match ahead when deep down she already wanted this to be over with. Soon the superhero would be on the outside of the ring, walking up the steel steps before ducking in between the ropes to get in now face to face with her opponent for the evening.
"Well, she's got a good figure, but it doesn't look like she takes training all that seriously." Gloria thought to herself as she stood there like a statue looking her opponents figure. Gloria then extended her arm out gesturing for a microphone, once it was given to her, she pressed it below her mouth as she began to speak.
"Phoebe, I want to apologize right off the bat." Gloria spoke out trying to be sympathetic for her opponent.
"It's not fair, management has you face someone like me, just because management wants me to look good. I know my worth so for them to just book this random match just to make me look good, is a waste of time, so as such as a way of atoning for this, I'll let you have the first blow, and once we're done, I'll give you a few pointers in the gym. Deal?" Gloria continued to speak but her tone sifted to being bitter at LAW's management time as they knew was an unfair match up and had nothing but left a sour taste in the superhero's mouth. However once again her tone sifted back to sympathy and earnest as she wanted to make things right for Phoebe after this match was all said and done, so with that the superhero tossed the mic to the side and put her arms out to the side wanting to give Phoebe a free shot at her to start this short bout.
