As enlightening as trivia was when your brain was literally suffocating for air, Morgan was almost happy for it to go in one ear and out the other in this instance. She had a feeling her opponent wasn't quite being sincere with her judging from that tone. What was it about Halloween that annoyed her? Maybe it was the insincerity or the mixed messaging? Where did they get off to a wrong start? ...

Oh yeah.

Halloween had a poor sense of humor, in Morgan's humble opinion.

The Magician pondered that as she was treated to a slap to the back of the head. Though she'd take that smack anytime if it meant giving Halloween more trouble at this point.

Released, Morgan rolled up onto her hands and feet, gasping and panting as she was given a relief for a moment. She'd like to thank in part, her surprising tactic of biting for this blessing. It was enough that shot her head up when she heard her opponent rumble around on the mat to turn her head and glare back. "Oh is that limit of your imagination?" Morgan scowled. "A wedgie?? I'd invent something far more exciting than that for you if it were up to me." She threatened, feeling a growing confidence that she started to climb to her feet.

Halloween prowled about the arena, closing in on her quarry with every step, ready to pounce at a moment’s notice. This was a rare opportunity for a woman like her - most of the time, she was facing bigger, more vigorous opponents, and she was in a similar positon to the blonde, trying to survive and fight for every last scrap she could get. Today, the roles were reversed - she was the huntswoman, not the hunted. She was the one bringing the fight.

It felt good. Real good. It wasn’t an opportunity she intended to waste. There was some risk in moving in like this, after Morgan had broken her flow, but screw it - she was just kneeling there, trying to pick herself up, super slow about it.

Halloween went into action, dashing across the ring at full speed, turning into a blur as she approached. She waited until she was close, then leaped up and planted her foot on Morgan’s back, dropping all of her weight onto the woman’s spine - that would suck, but that wasn’t the main attack. Halloween just needed a spring.

The Scream Queen used her as a perch and launched herself, leaping towards the ropes and planted her foot on the middle rope. That launched her back and up, right into the air, and she tucked her legs in as she came down for a Butt Drop, one that would ideally land right on the small of Morgan’s back. ”BANZAI!”

A moment. Maybe a minute.

If Morgan could get a little time, she might be able to come up with something to pull on the little habanero that was, at the moment, running away with this match. Though what she would do with that? She didn't know.

There were still a few tricks up her sleeve, despite not having sleeves. Under her left wristband, she had one of those braided survival ropes. Though unassuming, you could never go wrong with a length of rope and a stealthy tie off would be enough to get anyone suddenly wondering, "Hey, how did my wrist get tied to the ring apron?" Finding an opening for that assumed Morgan would be winning enough to do so. Though maybe a sneaky tie-off outside the ring so Halloweenie could be timed out? That wouldn't quite be thematic, but it would be funny!

Alas, as Morgan's mind stumbled over itself wondering what she was going to do. Her slow and bent over posture had provided her opponent just what she needed.

Hook.

She got a boot in the back to become a human springboard, causing her to physically stumble forward right into the line of fire of that accursed rump.

Line.

Morgan felt Halloween's backside drop right onto her mark, catching the curve of her lower back to drop her to the mat!

Sinker.

"Ough!" Morgan grunted as she flopped to the mat with a splat. Her limps flailed up before collapsing back to the mat.

People often looked at Halloween’s size as a weakness, and…they weren’t wrong, but she wouldn’t say they were right, either. No, she would never be a powerhouse, she would never be executing slams and even trying a powerbomb would likely snap her spine in twain, but if there was one thing that she had learned through the years, it was how to turn her negatives into positives.

Not having a lot of weight to move around made her fast. Being so small made her harder to grab. Looking like a little doll made her opponents underestimate her, and by the time they started taking her as a real threat, she’d already dealt a good share of damage.

It didn’t always work in her favor, but when it did, it was so satisfying. Halloween lived to shut up the haters, the doubters, and today she was having so, so much fun with Morgan.

You could probably guess as much from the too-wide smile as her rump came crashing down on the woman’s spine and smashed her foe into the canvas, flattening her. She might not have had too much mass, but she could make a big enough impact once she got gravity on her side.

Halloween settled into her knee seat, spread her legs out wide, and reached forward so that Morgan could see her wiggling fingers. ”Hey, Moooooooooooooorgan. Guess what time it is?”

The mystery didn’t last for long as Halloween brought her fingers into the woman’s mouth, fishhooked it, and yanked her head up, up, up, until she could slide her legs underneath the woman’s shoulders and seize her with a Camel Clutch, forcing her once again to smile wide and show of those pearly whites.

This was, probably, the moment when Callie was watching the match and going I told you so... in her worried lecturing voice. She might have been right, Morgan thought, as she lifted her head from the mat, holding a hand to her nose as it took a tap on the mat on the way down. Nothing was broken but it was funny that sort of thing was done on instinct. That was a sidetrack that was swiftly pushed aside in Morgan's head. Maybe if her mind didn't wander so much, she'd be more focused but once again she'd digress.

Anyway, Callie was wrong in that Morgan was delicate. She could take it. She had been contorted and bounced around every which way. Held her breath for what she swears were world records at the time. The list goes on. Obviously, the Halloween Horror Show was nothing compared to that. Although...

”Hey, Moooooooooooooorgan. Guess what time it is?”

Dangling figures. Smug attitude.

Wait. She wouldn't...

"No! No!"

Morgan shook her head, trying to evade those invading digits as the realization hit her just too late. They found the corners of her mouth and pried her cheeks open. A pairing that the blonde seemed to quite remember as she was reeled back to bend back and back until her torso was curved, spine and neck bending to accommodate Halloween's whim.

Once again, Morgan met the downward, and completely smug, gaze of her opponent. "Uuunngh!" She let out, partly out of the strain and the other out of frustration she was back in a camel clutch under Halloween!

”Yes, yes!”

If there was one thing that Halloween could do amazingly well at all times with no exceptions, it was annoying people. Unfortunately for Morgan, she’d gotten a good lock on her goat the last time they met - she had a great memory for people’s pet peeves, and it was pretty clear that the woman really, really did not like this whole fishhooking thing. Granted, there were too many people who did like having dirty fingers shoved into her mouth, but the way Morgan was fighting, you’d think she was having hot coals shoved in there. She shook about, thrashed, fought it every step of the way…

Didn’t matter. In they went. Halloween locked in tight, pulled back, and forced Morgan into the widest, prettiest smile, letting those pearly whites gleam.

Back, back, back, until they were face to face and eye to eye again, with Halloween looking down on her with a bright beaming gaze. ”Deja vu, right?” She snickered. ”I forgot how comfy a chair you make. Perfect fit.”

Halloween hunkered down, planted her feet, and prepared for the long haul. ”Feel free to tap out anytime you like. Or we can keep on meme-farming. Your choice, blondie.”

There it was. The smugness...

There was a very real possibility that Morgan was latching on to the fact that this was her first real opponent and one that didn't gel right away with her. Lovers was technically her first but she was fun. So being kicked around by her was a little bit fun, too, but when it came to Halloween, well...

"Uuugh!" Morgan bellowed, partly out of the strain and part out of annoyance as her gaze was forced to meet her opponent's. Nah, enemy. With Halloween firmly seated on her rear, Morgan really didn't have much leverage as her spine bowed to accommodate the full bend to get her face to point straight up in a camel clutch. Her teeth, exposed and just as pearly white as Halloween remembered, were gnashing and clenching to only part with a sharp intake of breath or let out another anguished grunt. "Unh!"

Though Morgan wasn't entirely blameless right now. She did no preparation for this match and was getting burned on the very same hold that got her last time. So she only got treated with more smugness this time for that lack of effort.

Blondie.

"Aaugh" Morgan flexed her entire upper half, arms trying to slide free, head attempting to twist to pull her mouth free, anything really! "Stoop calling me that!" She demanded with her hands eventually settling on gripping each of Halloween's shins and tightly clenching the fabric, she attempted to pry apart her opponent's legs to maybe prompt something? She was desperate, though.

Yeah, Halloween could be a little smug.

…okay, a lot smug. But it came with the territory, something she’d learned through experience. When you were a wrestler her size, and you wanted to be taken seriously, you had to talk big. You had to make noise. People had been trying to make her small her entire life. Wanted to treat her like a joke, a sideshow, or a punchline. You didn’t fight that by being the small, modest little waif they expected you to be. You had to cast a big shadow.

And right now, that big shadow was cast over Morgan, and the poor thing wasn’t having a good time with it. Oh, well, suck to be her.

”Okay, okay, I’ll stop calling you blondie…rubia.” Halloween made sure to say it in the exact same tone, too, so the woman could suss out that she was just calling her the same thing in a different language. ”And what’s wrong? Not having fun with this?” She shook Morgan’s head back and forth, tossing her head to the side. ”All right, fine, I’ll shake things up. But first…”

Halloween dipped forward and brought her around Morgan’s neck from the front, encircling it and clenching her tight under her shoulder. From there, she stood up and dragged her opponent with her, forcing her to look up at the lights while her back arched, an awkward position.

She wouldn’t be in it for long, though. Halloween would abruptly kick her legs out, fall backwards, and attempted to slam the back of her opponent’s head into the canvas, as she executed a swift reverse DDT.

Ugh.

There was no sneakiness in the name switch-up. The language barrier didn't hide the tone, nor the almost similar sounding word. At this point there were so many things Morgan would like to pay Halloween back for. Ideally it would be in this match but so far, this was not appearing to be going well. Still, the match was young? Well maybe that was the strain of blood going to her head making her think that.

"Aaah...aaah..aaah! Let go of me!" Morgan cried out as her head was casually tossed side to side in a rather dizzying display of Morgan's namesake, her blonde hair, being flung around trying to catch up.

When it was done, Morgan wasn't treated to anything better. An arm around her neck and now being heaved up onto her feet. Her spine ached but that was the least of her concerns as she got her bearings just in time to feel the momentum of the pair shift back and..

SLAM!

Okay, it didn't make that sound exactly but it definitely felt like it as Morgan's head slammed against the canvas! She was left sprawled out, eyes blinking and fluttering with faint recognition that she was still in a match and not, ideally, somewhere but here.

Morgan asked for Halloween to let her go. So, what did Halloween do? She let her go.

Granted, she did only after drilling her skull into the canvas, but being fair? She did it.

More than satisfied with that outcome, Halloween swung her feet away and rose up to her knees, looking over to where Morgan was reeling for the impact. Her natural inclination was to go for a pinfall, but she quickly remembered that a submission was what she needed. She was tempted to try for that again, but figured her opponent wasn’t quite ready to give in just yet. She needed some more seasoning.

Halloween blew the woman a quick kiss, then rolled away, ducking under the apron and making her onto the edge of the ring. She pulled her way up with the ropes, then quickly scaled the turnbuckle, taking note of her foe’s position as she rose. Yeah, she could make this.

Halloween made it to the top, perched on the pads like an eagle preparing to swoop, then launched herself forward, diving headfirst towards her opponent. She waited until the last second, then threw her body into a roll, whipping through the air as she attempted to come crashing down on her opponent with a Swanton Bomb.
