Audrey was draped over Shimmerlace—at least, insofar as a hundred-plus pound slab of angry meat could be said to drape. Her thighs cupped Shimmerlace's ribs and her backside pressed down with kind of firmness that crushed the Feychild's lungs and made it an effort to breathe. The smell of the girl, sour musk mixed with sweet floral deoderant, washed over Shimmerlace as her eyes steadied on the redhead's.
When she saw the look smoldering in that pale, wicked face, Shimmerlace extended her chin. Her eyes slipped down, then up Audrey. Whatchoo you think you're gonna do, huh?
Crack!
The first punch slammed her jaw. Her head whipped to the side. Spit flew. She shook her head, closed her eyes, laughed—weaker than she wanted on account of her gut, but she felt confident the cunts in the stand could see it and get the point.
Crack, crack!
Her cheeks buzzed, numb at the level of skin, but the pain burned below, in the bones and the muscle. Her grin started to dim. "Come on—" She wouldn't have been able to block the strike with Audrey's knees pinning her arms, and she didn't try.
Crack!
"COME ON—!"
Her eyes bulged. Her teeth gleamed as breath hissed through her lips. She was sure she was bleeding. She hadn't seen any red just yet, but she could feel her pulse as an itch in her cheek and her throat felt sticky. Good. That'd be a metal as fuck look for the fans.
A part of Shimmerlace wanted to see just how far lil ol' Audrey could push this animal burst of ferocity. With each crunch, LAW's supposed lowest-rung breathed heavier. Sweat clung to her face, which urled into more and more of a snarl. It was a compelling look, the kind of thing Shimmerlace would have latched onto for a match, were she back at home in the dim glow of her monitor.
But that's exactly why it had to stop—right fuckin' now.
CRACK!!
That one hit her temple. She choked, then clenched her jaw, bridged her core — pain be damned — and curled up her legs. All she had to do was lock a leg around Audrey's neck and roll her off.
Except Shimmer's leg didn't quite reach.
Crack! CRACK!
"Guhk—"
Instead of getting tired, Audrey seemed to pick up steam. The blows came faster, cutting deeper. On the next one, Shimmerlace felt her body twitch, clenching then going loose.
CRACK!
She was scrambling now, bucking and kicking enough to bounce them a few inches around the mat but never enough to break free. She wrenched her shoulders in an attempt at freeing her arms, but the full-mount was too firm, too high on her chest.
CRACK, CRACK, CRACK—
"NINE!...TEN!...ELEVEN!"
Someone out in the crowd had counted the first blow. Their neighbors counted the second, third, and fourth, and so it spread. Finally at nine, the count shook the roof.
CRACK - Twelve! - CRACK- Thirteen! - CRACK - Forteen!
Shimmerlace snarled. "Cunts!" Her voice was a rasp. Audrey would be able to feel her breaths heave in and out where her bare thigh pressed warm against Shimmer's ribs. They were fast, choppy, shallow, like a rabbit's.
She never quite quit trying to scramble away, but by the end, her curled-up legs seemed more like an attempt at making her body small than anything else. With each strike, she spasmed and her knee tapped Audrey's back. Then the blows came at a frenetic speed, so fast the crowd almost couldn't count
FIFTEEN!-SIXTEEN!-SEVENTEEN!-EIGHTEEN!-NINETEEN!
She was shaking. The crowd buzzed on the periphery of her senses, a sound that made her want to melt. Audrey loomed over her, and there was no mistaking the blood on her fist as she heaved with her breathing.
And stay down. That's what she'd said, right? It had flashed a quick gout of anger at the time. Now her eyes said the same thing, and something sickly and masochistic curled in Shimmerlace's navel in response. "F-fuck..."
Audrey gave the last one a little extra windup. Like a pitcher winding up a fastball. Shimmerlace could see her abs clench, could feel her legs tighten.
When TWENTY!! slammed her face against the mat, it stayed there. She was limp, drooling, and the crowd was popped like someone had just lit the finale to a fireworks display.

Re: Somebody to Love - Shimmerlace Snuggleblossom vs Audrey Trovita
Every crack of the skull, every pounding of the fist was accompanied by a grunt from the redhead. Once, twice, thrice... Audrey lost count after that. Shimmer had the absolute gall to laugh at her. On top of everything else, that sound had her seeing red.
What started out as a low growl rapidly evolved into a bellow, and continued to increase in volume as she vented on her new punching bag. Vented all the rage this match had been building within her. Vented all the frustration and failure and downright unfairness of everything she'd endured over the last several months. She thought of nothing else as she rained down blows onto the pink target below.
Somewhere in the haze of fire, she was dimly aware of a pain in her knuckles. It didn't matter. It was nothing compared to all the suffering and humiliation she'd experienced before; this may as well have been a splinter by comparison for all the attention Audrey paid it.
Shimmer was saying something. Possibly. Her mouth was moving. It could be a trick of the mind, too, the blows coming so fast that the fae's face was distorted. There may have been sound, but Audrey was screaming so loud that she couldn't hear anything but that and the ringing in her ears.
And then she moved. A leg tried to take to the air. Audrey didn't even turn around. She threw an elbow back in an almost automatic response to deflect it, but it was already dropping away, having failed to hook her. She snarled in response.
The crowd's reaction was mixed; naturally, the majority continued to cheer, whether for Shimmer getting a beating, or for Audrey finally dishing one out. Shimmer's wiggling and attempts at escape encouraged others, as for once Audrey seemed to have put a proper pin down, keeping Shimmer from even freeing her arms. But more than a few stared with concern, watching the normally timid redhead going absolutely feral on her foe.
And she just kept going! Her body had gotten very warm, her hair had jostled enough to come half-undone from her ponytail, and her knuckles were spotted with more red than just her freckles. The shouting had stopped, replaced by furious grunts and heavy breathing in between that rocked her entire frame.
Eventually, with one final yell and an extra forceful WHAM, Audrey came to a stop. She leaned forwards, her knuckles punching the mat on either side of Shimmer's head to support her weight, sweating and panting and looking like she'd just clawed and crawled her way back out of a pit to hell, chest rising and falling with the effort of sucking in enough oxygen to send to her brain.
The crowd once again roared their approval, and Audrey spent several moments hunched over like that, simply staring into the bruised and bloodied face of her victim as she came down off her high. The reality of what she'd done begun to sink in, and the tiniest sliver of regret broke though the post-rage fog as it begun to evaporate. And after second-guessing the boot-stomping earlier, too...
Suddenly, Audrey was tired. As reality came storming back, she became aware of just how noticeably her entire body trembled, her arms shaking even worse with the strain of keeping her semi-upright. She wanted to simply collapse then and there. She blinked and her vision cleared slightly; when had she started crying? She hadn't realized. She reached up to wipe her cheek with the back of her hand, and ended up smearing more on substance than she removed, thanks to the sweat and flecks of blood. This called for a relaxing warm bath later.
Before that, she had a job to finish here. And as she was reminded of the work still to do, Audrey realized she wasn't quite finished yet. She could go for another pin here, but... that's not how she wanted to win. Not with a brutal, uncharacteristic show of ferocity, but with a proper combat technique. Something flashy to give the audience one last cheer and a positive connotation.
With a sigh so heavy that was near indistinguishable from a breath at this point, Audrey shifted her feet underneath herself and stood up, leaving Shimmer wounded and dazed on the mat between her feet. Following up with a grunt of exertion, she reached down, grabbed Shimmerlace by the head (making sure not to pull her by the hair - she wasn't going to be accused of playing dirty!), and heaved, dragging her to her feet.
A quick test of her legs followed, bending at the knees into a shallow crouch just to be sure she could trust that they wouldn't give out beneath her. With that experiment solved, it was time to set up her opponent. Grabbing Shimmer by the wrist and upper arm, Audrey shoved, whipping her directly at the nearest rope.

Re: Somebody to Love - Shimmerlace Snuggleblossom vs Audrey Trovita
She found herself in the old haunt—the gibbet and its iron bars, her hair matted, wet beneath her shoulders like spoiled carpet. The crowd gathered round the cage, howling away, ready to seize her cell and tip her beneath their boot.
It was the same as it always was—she knew, deep in the back of her head like a red hot itch, what she ought to do. Bite that shithead's fuckin' nose while you gouge that cunt's eye and make them pay for every roseate drop of blood! But did our Shimmerlace?
Nah. All she could do was crul up in her shrinking iron corner, shivering herself like her own wee rabbit.
Then the "fans'" hands slid all over her body, smothering her in dry heat and pressure. Crusty hands, rough like sandpaper. There had to be some kinda move she could pull — a clever phrase, a kiss, an unexpected smile or few inches of her cleavage. Some kind of cheat that would make them cheer like they used to.
Her knees hurt and popped when they dragged her to stand, and twin needles of pain in her knees were red. The pain was focusing—something clear to fight. As she hung, limp, on the dozens of hands, she focused on the pain and on staying upright. She'd show them she could endure. That would be a show of color, wouldn't it? Something beautiful and placating.
She did it. She got to her feet. Woozy? Hell yeah. She couldn't tell up from down, and her head had a thick ball of led rolling around the edge of her frontal-cranial cavity.
And then she was off with the wind in her hair. Wumpf! There's the ropes, which caught her and slung her back the other way. Each fall of her boot was another chance to trip or stumble, but she grit her teeth and kept. Charging! Towards the Lord Seelie George only knew what the fuck.
But she knew she was doing right because as Audrey came into focus, she could feel the air ringing with the crowd's cheers. Finally.

Re: Somebody to Love - Shimmerlace Snuggleblossom vs Audrey Trovita
Through her feral daze, Audrey had no idea what was going through Shimmerlace's mind as she pounded her to a pulp. The redhead had been more focused than she'd ever been, functioning on an autopilot setting she wasn't aware she even had. Her own thoughts were linear - keep going. Keep moving. Keep hitting. She was in a position she rarely found herself in, and the only thing she knew was that she needed to maintain it. To pause was to surrender.
With that one thought circling her brain and dictating her every move, she wasn't sure what finally made her stop. Exhaustion, perhaps. By that time, the pink blur beneath her had shriveled, not even resisting, let alone attempting to pull some kind of trick. No, she was well and truly lost at the moment. Audrey wasn't sure how she was so sure she was safe. Instinct? She'd never been that adept at anticipating her foes, especially the more underhanded ones. But she was confident enough to abandon her advantageous position and prepare for a follow-up.
Caution was ever in the back of Audrey's mind as she heaved Shimmer to her feet, though it was hovering on the edge of her awareness, an afterthought to the primal drive to flex her superiority. Something to be aware of, but not an immediate concern. It took effort to hurl the fae away, but adrenaline running through her carried her arms through the motion. She had precious few seconds to breathe while Shimmer flew away and rebounded before charging back towards her. It was a minor miracle she managed to keep her balance in the process, but Audrey was not hoping for her to simply stumble over her own feet. An easy victory, perhaps, but not how she wanted to win.
Were any of the audience questioning why Audrey had tested her own legs prior to the irish whip, they would now get their answer; The redhead leapt forwards as her target closed the gap, landing palms down on the mat, just in time for her legs to wrap around Shimmer's head. In one fluid motion, Audrey recoiled, snapping her body back the way it had come and yanking her pink-haired pixie along for the ride. Audrey would land face down, braced by her palms; Shimmer, meanwhile, would be dragged through the air, pink comet that she was, and come crashing back down to earth. Should all go according to plan, the acrobatic display would end with Audrey getting to her feet and looking over her shoulder to see Shimmerlace splayed out on her back behind her.
But why stop there? Why give her time to recover? No, momentum demanded the flow continue.
And so Audrey turned on her heel to face the downed fae girl. And down she would stay, for if being flipped head-over-heels by that hurricanrana didn't compound the daze she'd been in, the elbow drop to the face from the leaping redhead would certainly do the trick.
Should the blow strike true, Audrey would further seize the opening. Her body crawled atop her foe's, sprawling out to keep her down. And with a grunt and a heave, she would drag Shimmer's leg into the air. Stunned as she no doubt was, Audrey would only hope she'd be too lost in her own world to recognize the sensation of being pinned.
Come onnnn...

Re: Somebody to Love - Shimmerlace Snuggleblossom vs Audrey Trovita
Whammo—BLAMMO!
Later on, Shimmerlace would rewatch the sequence, and you know? Underneath a bitter, coiled part of her that would still be boiling about the match—a part of her regretted she hadn't been a touch more conscious. 'Cause that was a motherfucker of a hurricanrana.
BAM—face straight to the mat. And the old gray matter slams the front of the skull, and Shimmerlace—well, she was just there, face down on the mat. Drooling.
Then Audrey's elbow cracked Shimmerlace's face, and a funny thing happened. Audrey fell with about a hundred and forty pounds and six feet of momentum onto a sharp, bony point. You'd think it would sting—and it did. It felt like a hot nail splitting her skull in two. But that BANG also hit Shimmerlace with an odd glimmer of clarity.
She was getting fucked. Hard, in public, by someone who should not ever be capable of topping someone like her.
She could feel it, too. Under the pain, her loins were burning. Furious. Same as if she were naked on her knees and Audrey were rutting with a long, hot silicone—
Audrey grabbed and folded one of Shimmerlace's legs. She felt her opponent's weight like a boot on her gut.
"Fuck—"
"ONE! TWO!"
The referee slammed the mat. The first crack of skin against mat made sweat erupt on her forehead, and the second made her stomach dance and twirl. Fuck me harder mommy.
"THR—!"
Shimmerlace was not conscious of kicking. She just clenched and bucked and kicked. The whole rest of the auditorium knew before she did that her leg had slipped free, that she kicked out and flung her ankle over the nearest rope.
Her face felt...damp. Fuck she hoped she hadn't—wasn't?—crying. Fuck but that would suck. Her ears were still ringing, and staring up, she had a strong sense of the whole fucking place spinning wildly. She heaved in breath and gasped it out.
And the match kept going.
