Kate was less than enthused about her recent matchups. It started to feel like someone might actually have it out for her, and she certainly did not help her case when she practically called out the assistant direct manager for her schemes in her match against Sandy White. Though then again, it might be all a coincidence... a very unlikely one, but she wasn't sure really which option would do better to keep her temper in check, there was only so much she could blame on bad luck before she got mad.

This day was a shade brighter than other recent encounters she had had. While the subject of the match remained the same, this time at the very least, her opponent seemed to not be a complete asshole, or at least so it seemed to kate from what she could gather about her opponent. Either way, she was gonna find out soon enough as she was called for to make her entrance.

Entrance Music:

Taking a few deep breaths to collect herself, Kate would enter the buzzing arena, her entrance music blairing behind her as she walked to the middle of the stage, raising her arm up before bringing it to the side and flexing for the audience after which she would walk down the ramp and slide under the ropes. She'd then walk to her corner and climb it, despite the circumstance, doing her best to hype up the audience before getting off the turnbuckle and resting her back on in the corner, awaiting her opponent.

She should've known after her match with Ari that more of these matches would come afterwards. It wasn't that Kerstin was against the match type, if she was she'd say no, but she definitely would've preferred a different setting for the kind of opponent she was facing. She didn't really need to do research to know the match was more suited to a proper fight given who Kerstin was and her opponent who had been in a title match last year that was high profile enough for Kerstin to take notice to her style which was in many ways similar to her own with the biggest difference Kerstin could see as that she was a middleweight. What other differences were there? Well Kerstin was probably about to find out.

Once her music hit the heavyweight fighter stepped out with a fist already raised smiling at the crowd and starting to make her march down the ring, shaking hands and high fiving anyone who offered before entering the ring. Not sure what to say to Kate she simply gave her a respectful nod before climbing up one of the turnbuckles and flexing for the approving crowd. It was a little awkward given that the match didn't really need her muscles, but Kerstin told herself that it was unlikely that this match wouldn't be a big fight itself given that with the two of them it might start out as an MMA bout in a wrestling ring!

Kate watched her opponent make her entrance and couldn't help but scold herself internally for taking note of her features, or more accurately, taking note of all of them that piqued her interest. Then she went to scold herself for scolding herself in the first place; it was, after all, a part of the point of matches like this, and she would most certainly rather be attracted to an opponent in this sort of scenario. Though she was still a bit confused about the whole ordeal, even after having had a few of these fights already.

Regardless, her opponent would further ingratiate herself with Kate by giving her a nod, which was a refreshing change from the profane drivel she had to endure from her prior opponents. Though as much as she'd like to return the gesture with a calm expresion, when she did nod back, she had a visable blush adorning her cheeks but regardless of that, she would make her way to the center of the ring, offering to touch gloves in possiibly the oldest gesture in combat sports before they'd begin propperly.

If the gesture was returned, after they parted, Kate would begin the fight by getting into a philly shell, approaching Kerstin with two flick jabs and a cross to test the watters before backing away! It might be a hentai match, but at the end of the day, it was still a fight, and Kate was planning to use the best trick she had in her arsenal to win!

Kerstin's focus was entirely on getting ready for the fight since it was way different than her usual affairs, and she knew the opponent in question was more like her than her last opponent. She wasn't very talkative but since Kerstin didn't say anything either she wasn't really expecting anything from her. She offered her gloves and Kerstin reached out to touch them with her own by reflex, it was as natural as breathing to do so and she got herself ready right after the contact and waiting for the bell to ring.

Once it did Kerstin's own hands came up in a simple defensive position. Her guard was up and ready to help protect herself from the light jabs, moving up to push off both blows before they touched her. Deciding to take advantage of her being the bigger fighter Kerstin would try to move in next and test Kate as well, throwing a jab at her faced before going lower and throwing another 2 jabs directed at her body, circling and moving in to keep Kate backpedaling.

Kate took a side step, evading the jab to her head, noticing the level change Kerstin had to make to fire the next one to her midsection. She would tense her core to receive it straight on; she was built for this after all. When the third one came, she would drop her arm, smoothly sweeping it aside, and as a counter to Kerstin trying to keep her backing away, she'd in turn step in, using the position she put her defending hand in to get an underhook on her opponent.

If she managed that, she'd have her opponent opened and in a somewhat controlled position she'd try to further by getting a hold on Kerstin's neck and pulling her down to try and send two sharp knee strikes up at her gut before pivoting on her feet and sending her to the ground with a hip toss!

Kate's defenses were up and she avoided most of her hits, only taking the gut punch that her body was well defined to defend against before she'd be making her move. Kerstin felt her come close and saw the hook moments before she felt it, stopping her from slipping away and making them side by side for Kate to pull on her head try and throw in some knees to her side.

"Hcck." Kersting grunted, the shape pain that followed both knees telling her that Kate knew exactly where to hit her, but her body was still prepared for that kind of move, and when Kate tried to follow up Kerstin would resist, hooking a leg around Kate's to keep her from getting into the right position for the hip toss and then throwing some jabs of her own to those sides to try and force her to back off.
