Spiking the Goose - Hilda Martin vs Lennox “Thornette” Rose

Hilda would get hit with the vintage Orton rope ddt. She was feeling really groggy as she was quickly disrespected with Lennox going for a quick pin. Hilda didn’t wanna see weak as she kicked out at 1 and a half. She also left her arm in the air as she couldn’t really move after kicking out.

Lennox expected the goose to kick out from the DDT. The Canadian was hard headed, if nothing else, she certainly already proved that by being fit to fight this match after Thornette had driven her head into concrete backstage. The moment the referee stopped the fall count, Lennox pushed off Hilda & got to her feet. Next, she'd turn around and attempt to punt the woman in her side, aiming to flip her over.

Hilda was in a daze as she was trying to recuperate herself to get out of it and back into the match. However, the Canadian Goose of LAW was then kicked in the back by Lennox, making her lay prone. She was truly in pain as she groaned and tried to get on all fours but failed.

With Hilda laying prone and trying to get up on all fours, Lennox would' hell her, by standing astride over her and bending over, intending to wrap her arms around her and lift het up by her torso to dangle her upside down. She might not have been a power house, but the thrill of a nasty spike always drove her the extra kilometer.

If her lift was succesful, the next thing she'd attempt to do is nothing more or less than simple leaping piledriver, the Sovereign of spikes dropping the woman head first into the canvas. There'd be no pin attempt either, she'd simply wait to see if she retained conciousness.

Hilda would be seeing stars a bit but she knew that in her long time experience, she can find ways to turn the tides to her favor. She knew what to do.

As Lennox wrapped her arms around her waist, Hilda decided to play deadweight and didn’t allow Lennox to lift her up. As her opponent tried to pick her up, it would strain her opponent’s back with her not moving an inch. She kept on doing this until eventually she got the results she wanted, which was hurting the back of Lennox to the point she had to stop and turn around and soothe the pain.

If that were to happen, Hilda would slowly get up and go for a Sleeperhold. She would keep it on her as her insults were a bit personal.

“You know damn well you shouldn’t have messed with me. The fucking Goose of LAW. Now I’m gonna make sure you remember that if you mess with the goose, your ass is gonna get bit.”

As Lennox attempted to lift Hilda, she found her resisting her attempt to pick her up. Had she'd properly prepared to lift the woman with her whole body, she'd almost certainly succeed at doing so, but she'd just used her arms. The Sovereign of Spikes was too eager to pull off the piledriver & the end of the move than do what she needed to get her to it. As a consequence, she ended up letting go of the woman & stepping back away from her, turning around reaching around to grab a temporarily sore back.

Out of that, Hilda did manage to get up for herself & grab Lennox from behind to put her in a sleeperhold & insult her. But of Lennox wasn't a weak young woman, nor one that easily grew tired. So she'd attempt to stumble backward into the nearest corner to to slam Hilda against it, while also reaching out with both hands to grab the ropes, to force the hold to be broken.

Hilda would be taken for a ride as Hilda crashed into a turnbuckle with Lennox grabbing the ropes for a rope break. However, Hilda wasn’t just an old hag who knew nothing in the ring. She had been wrestling longer than Lennox.

As Hilda was forced to let go of the sleeperhold, she didn’t let unwrap her legs on Lennox. Now sitting on the top turnbuckle, Hilda started swinging her arms like a goose flapping her wings as she hit her hard. She would also make Lennox’s ears start ringing as she was honking very loudly and into the earlobe of Lennox. Eventually, Hilda let go and after Lennox stumbled out, Hilda went for a middle turnbuckle bulldog.

The 'honking' in her ears, combined with the hold was more than a little disorienting & unlike anything that she'd ever faced before. While while Thornette was 'successful' in forcing her opponent backward into the corner, she, predictably, was able to get away to holding on for a little while longer.

When that ordeal was finally over, the dazed Lennox was a infact vulnerable to to Hilda continuing her momentum. So she would get to leap off the middle turnbuckle for a bulldog that forced the blonde face down into the canvas. The only thing that slightly saved Lennox was that she managed to get her arms out in front of her to hit the canvas first, cushioning her crash enough to keep her wits about her for whatever followed.

Hilda Martin looked at her opponent and decided to go for a quick pin since she believed that’ll at least slow Lennox down. She flipped Lennox onto her back as she then laid on top of her and lifted up the leg of her opponent. The referee then got down and started the pin count.

Lennox was in pain, yes but having gotten her arms out in front of her the bulldog she had taken was not as bad as i might otherwise been. She certainly was far from being 100% at this point, but nothing that she didn't have a chance at fighting through, eventually, as long as she got some reprieve, though she doubt'd it'd come. But that was when Hilda, rather than continuing to attack, flipped her over for a pin. There'd be not fight back from Thornette here.

Kaede kicked out at two, it wasn't as much, but at least she'd gotten two counts worth of rest, including the time it took for the referee to get started with the count.
