Zero Team X [D] vs. Chikara Yuma

Unread post by CaptainL »

Match Type: Standard Handicap Match
Rules: Victory by pinfall, submission, or knockout.
---
This was an exciting night for the Zero Team X - the rather melodramatic name Mai Shinoda had picked out for her high school keijo team. She had held there was a bright future on the horizon for them, and tonight they would prove it - tonight was the night they would become international stars when they made their debut in LAW as professional wrestlers! It had taken a while for the promoters to find a good match for them, but finally they decided on sticking the three of them in a handicap match against Chikara Yuma, an esteemed sumo wrestler. That was even better - if they could take on a star athlete and win, that was proof they could carve out staying power for themselves in the ring, and become the heroes they knew they could be!

Before the match began, the three girls were gathered in the locker room, huddled in a circle with their arms around each others' shoulders. Mai, slipping into her role as team captain, faced them all with a grin. "Alright, girls! This is it! This is gonna be our big night, so we all need to put our best effort forward! Remember, even if it's scary, we've got this!"

"I just hope we look good on camera," Saya replied.

"Don't worry about that! Remember, you're our secret weapon. 'cuz you're big and have big boobs. If we're up against a sumo wrestler, you have the best chance of pushing her back. So we're gonna want you to play a good defense!"

"And please," Naomi added with a sigh, "don't do anything too stupid. If this is our chance to set a first impression...let's not blow it."

"Pssht! That's no attitude to bring into this!" Mai retorted. "We won't even let blowing it be an option! Right, girls?" She put her hand in the center of the circle, and the others joined before they all drew their hands up, with a cry of "RIGHT!" And not a moment too soon - just a moment later, they got their cue to take to the ring. It was showtime!

"Coming first to the ring, from Tokyo, Japan, at a combined weight of 423 pounds! ZERO TEAM X! Wait, did I just say that out loud..."

Even if the ring announcer seemed baffled, it wasn't going to slow the debuting team down at all. Mai led the charge down the entrance ramp with a grin on her face, with her partners behind her - Saya smiled and waved to the fans on either sides of the aisle, getting a few cheers, while Naomi grumbled to herself and trudged along stoically behind. When they came to the apron, Mai slipped in through the ropes and rolled out her shoulders, getting herself worked up for the match, while her partners stayed back on the apron behind her.

"...pst. Hey." Naomi leaned over to whisper to her. "Don't you think Saya should be in the ring first, if she's the biggest?"

"Doooon't worry," Mai explained. "I'm just gonna scope our opponent out! If I can take her, I will!" She didn't even have the slightest hesitation in her voice!

The air in the Gorilla Position was thick with anticipation and the hum of adrenaline, but for Chikara, it felt as if time had drawn to a near standstill. She stood there, heart racing, peeking through the velvet curtain, her gaze locked onto the ring that glimmered under the bright lights like a cherished shrine. Before her stood the team she was to face that night—a group of fierce competitors, each with their own stories etched into their bodies, their determination palpable. A flutter of nerves danced in her stomach, a reminder that this was not Sumo. “This isn’t like Sumo…” she whispered to herself, the weight of her traditions hanging heavy on her shoulders. Yet, beneath the surface of anxiety, hope bloomed like a cherry blossom: *I hope they will be respectful!*

Chikara was a warrior forged in the fires of discipline and honor, shaped under the ancient rituals of her Sumo training. She was formidable, a towering 300-pound powerhouse, built not just to withstand the brutality that the wrestling world could unleash, but to command respect through her every movement. But the wrestling arena was a different battlefield, fraught with a pulse of chaos and unpredictability that she was still learning to navigate. She clung to the teachings of her past, an anchor in the storm of the present. She had seen LAW matches and knew that at times, close physical contact could lead to lewd situations. Still, Chikara was not like a monk, and anything was fair given the rules in her mind. If she happened to use her considerable size to overpower a rival, then it was down to the rival to counter.

Moments later, her Tachimochi—a sword bearer, the personification of her heritage—appeared at her side, silent yet resolute. They shared a bond forged through years of training, each breath a testament to their respect for tradition. Chikara’s heart ached a little; normally, her Tsuyuharai would have accompanied her, a symbol of her lineage and strength, but tonight, she knew the people craved the flamboyance of professional wrestling. Still, she hoped to infuse a touch of her culture into this raucous world.

As the first soft notes of a traditional Japanese melody floated from the speakers, a wave of tranquility washed over her. This was her moment. With her silk dressing gown cascading down her form like a flowing river, she moved with purpose, each step an echo of the elegance of her Sumo lineage. The audience buzzed with curiosity, captivated not just by her presence but by the aura of honor she carried like a sacred shield.

"And their opponent, she is known as the Powerful Mountain. Weighing in at 300 pounds. CHIKARA YUUUUUUUUUMMMMAAAAAAAA!"

With deliberate grace, her Tachimochi entered the ring first, squatting down to present the sword, a testament to her dedication. Chikara climbed the steps, the raw power of her heavy form beneath the silk. As she entered the ring, she peeled away the gown in one fluid motion, revealing her imposing frame.

The crowd gasped, not in fear, but in awe. The sight of her was monumental, a blend of strength and grace—an embodiment of the very fight she was about to unleash.

Drawing on the customs of her ancestors, she took a moment to scatter the salt, a purifying gesture that filled the canvas with intention and reverence. Each grain danced in the air, a prayer to the spirits of the fighting past, a promise to the warriors who had come before her. Then, with a powerful stomp, she brought her foot crashing down—a thunderous declaration that sent vibrations rolling through the ring. Her Tachimochi raised the sword high, the blade glinting like a beacon, drawing the attention of all around.

This was more than a show; this was a ceremonial rite that no one in LAW had ever seen before. The crowd, caught between the unexpected magnificence before them and the exhilarating anticipation of the impending match, fell silent, respect washing over them for the traditions that lay bare in the heart of this powerful woman.

With her customs honored, Chikara straightened, rising from her squat to unleash a mighty war cry that reverberated through the venue, arms raised high in a declaration of both respect and ferocity. The Tachimochi hurried to retrieve the dressing gown, disappearing from the ring with a proud nod, leaving her to face the challenge ahead alone.

As Chikara strode to the center of the ring, her voice boomed, fierce and unwavering, “I am honored to wrestle each of you; let’s have a fight that our ancestors can enjoy!” The challenge hung in the air, electric, as the tension shifted from homage to a battle of wills. In that instant, Chikara was not just a wrestler; she was the living spirit of the fight itself—a bridge between past and present, tradition and evolution, ready to carve her legacy into the annals of this new world.

Re: Zero Team X [D] vs. Chikara Yuma

Chikara had certainly made quite an impact when she came through the curtains - and her entrance had been one that no one was going to forget any time soon. It was clear that she had a passion for her sport, treating it with all the solemn dignity of a sacred ritual - every part of her entrance had been carefully arranged, and no step was out of place. She was a champion sumo wrestler, and she conducted herself with all the gravitas that entailed, as only a champion could. If she was going to bring that sort of passion and dedication to this match, it was surely going to be one to remember.

Even beyond that, though...she was enormous! Even before Chikara had made a single move, as soon as it was announced that she weighed 300 pounds, it was clear to everyone that this was one of the largest women to have ever graced a LAW ring. When she came down the aisle, and when she tossed her robe aside to leave her physique on full display, a few gasps could be heard from fans who could hardly believe anyone could truly be so massive! And just as surprised as any of them were Chikara's opponents!

As soon as she saw Chikara looming over her, Saya let out a gasp, and the color drained away from her face. "H-Holy..!" she blurted out. "She's huge! How are we supposed to deal with...with that?"

Hearing that, Naomi winced; she edged in closer and elbowed Saya in the side as she hissed under her breath. "Quiet!" she snapped. "Don't disturb the ceremony!" Being raised in an aristocratic family, she knew a moment of great sanctity when she saw one, and she wasn't going to sit here while Saya talked over it like the big dumb bimbo she was.

Mai, on the other hand, wasn't deterred at all. Nothing was going to break her confidence...which some might call foolishness, but she would maintain that she hadn't come this far to run away from her battles! Planting her hands on her hips, she looked back at her teammates with a smirk. "Okay, she might look big and scary...but the three of us combined weigh more than she does! And if we work together as a team, then it'll be like she's fighting someone even bigger! So I'm not worried!"

"...Eh?!" Naomi blinked. "That...that doesn't even make sense!"

But if Mai heard her, she didn't let it slow her down for a moment. She ducked through the ropes, standing as tall as she could in front of Chikara - which, in her case, wouldn't be nearly as tall as her, but whatever! "Oh, yeah, we will," she chimed in, "as long as your ancestors don't mind when we kick your fat ass!"

Naomi could only bury her face in her palm at that. The match hadn't even begun, and already Mai was treading dangerous waters...

Re: Zero Team X [D] vs. Chikara Yuma

The arena was electric, a pulsating hub of anticipation as the crowd roared like thunder, whispering tales of both glory and peril in the air. Pride surged through Chikara as she recalled her journey—a Sumotori breaking barriers to step into the vivid, chaotic world of Professional Wrestling. Not many of her ilk found the courage or the ambition to leap into such an arena, where the rules were not just guidelines but the very essence of a battle. Yet even as triumph wove its vibrant thread through her spirit, an undeniable thread of caution intertwined with it.

She had mastered the ancient art of Sumo, but here, her opponents were three formidable women, creatures of youth and vigor, each armed with weight and strategy. They were a force, a united front capable of overwhelming her if they decided to band together. Memories of her training flooded her mind—the countless hours spent honing her craft, the sweat that mixed with tears, the relentless pursuit of respect and strength in a sport that thrived on personal glory. The wisdom of those years flickered within her, a warning whispering against the noise of bravado, urging her to tread carefully.

In this vibrant tapestry of competition, Chikara remained acutely aware of her surroundings. Her senses sharpened, cultivated through her years of grappling with heavy opponents in the ring. She could hear every murmur, every pointed laugh from Team Zero. “Your tone is one of fear and treachery,” she shot back, her voice calm yet edged with intensity. With each word, she infused a belief that transcended simple bravado—a reminder that strength could be found even in the smallest of foundations. "How can you expect to overcome a warrior like me if you do not believe! Even the largest mountain can be washed away with rain over time."

Then, the moment arrived. As Mai approached, swaggering with bravado, a sly smile danced across Chikara's lips, only to vanish when the words tumbled from Mai's lips like stones tossed into a still lake—her jab about Chikara’s weight. It ignited something primal within Chikara, a call to arms not just for herself but for her very identity. She was not just a figure to be ridiculed; she was a warrior, and today she would teach a lesson about respect.

The bell rang—DING DING DING—and in that heartbeat, Chikara transformed from a tranquil storm into a relentless force.

With the precision gleamed from years of fierce competition, she surged forward, both palms delivering a sharp, resonant slap against Mai’s chest. A push, but when done by a Sumo, it was much more. The crowd erupted into a cacophony, gasping and cheering expecting the smaller Mai to feel the effect of the two handed impact.

With a pop of confidence, Chikara stood tall, hands resting triumphantly on her hips—a goddess claiming her territory. “Don’t worry about my figure,” she called out, her voice echoing with a blend of amusement and defiance, “it will come in handy when I squash you flat under me! How does 300 pounds sound on top of that face, at least it will silence your insults."

She would then nod to the other two members of Zero X. She had not encountered them yet, but she hoped for a more respectful approach. Chikara keenly focused on Saya, seeing the larger woman would provide a good contest, perhaps even a trainee Sumo? Whatever, she was happy to play with Mai and when the time was right, move up the ranks of Zero X.

Chikara savored the sensation of the crowd, their energy flowing through her. Uncharted territory? Perhaps. But it felt exhilarating. The plot twisted; she was on the cusp of weaving her story into this vibrant stage, not merely to participate but to thrive. With every ounce of spirit blazing within her, she stood ready to embrace every challenge, every opponent, intent on showing that in this world of chaos, it was the heart of a warrior that truly mattered.

If there was one thing about Mai Shinoda that backed her up in the ring, it was her unwavering sense of confidence in herself. Most women in LAW - most people in general - would've been intimidated by the thought of staring down a 300-pound sumo champion when they were a fraction of her size, but Mai didn't even seem to question it for a moment. She believed in herself, and that was all she needed to succeed - it didn't matter how big or how tough she was, as long as she had heart! She was so confident in herself, in fact, that she didn't even think twice about throwing a taunt at Chikara - a taunt that the sumo wrestler didn't enjoy one bit!

She made that known perfectly well a moment later - when she threw a slap straight across Mai's chest! It landed with the resounding sound of a clap, hitting so hard that the middleweight was thrown off her feet and onto her back, clutching at her bosom as it jiggled with the aftershocks of the blow. Her face contorted in a wince as she let out a squeal, and a fair few fans could be heard groaning at the thought of how much that would have to hurt - and gasping at how much power Chikara had at her disposal! Even then, though...Mai wasn't going to let that take her down!

"Owww...okay...you made your point..." she groaned, "but...I'm gonna make mine!" Taken then by a surge of confidence, Mai pushed herself up onto her feet, dusting herself off as she faced Chikara down. Even if she still felt sore, and even if a red welt was already spreading across her skin beneath her swimsuit, Mai wasn't going to let that keep her down for long. She was going to throw herself into the fray, no questions asked!

*DING DING DING*

As soon as the bell rang, Mai took off running, intent on seizing on the momentum! She knew full well she didn't have any hope of overcoming Chikara in a straight test of strength, and she had already seen first-hand how hard she could hit. Rather than go for her head-on, though, Mai would attempt to fake her out - she'd run toward her only to swerve off for the side at the last minute, throwing herself into the ropes. From there, she'd let those ropes bounce herself back toward Chikara, as she held her hip out to throw a hip attack at her foe!
