A Perfect Professional Performance: Akari Ito vs Edith Una (D)

Edith managed to recover faster than Akari anticipated, bucking her off like a wild bull before making her grand escape toward the ropes. This gave both women ample time and space to recuperate, but Akari wasn't in as bad a predicament as Edith, meaning the ball was still in her court for the most part. The Japanese Joshi-wrestler would use this time to rest before slinging herself against the ropes, back-first to build some momentum off the rebound, attempting to try and rush at Edith with a quick Running Knee attempt while she was crawling toward the corner using the ropes, looking to smash her leg against the disoriented and weakened Hidden Gem, although if the raven-haired woman managed to miss, her raised leg would wind up caught on the ropes!

Sadly, as much as Edith would have hopped that she could recover after the brutal spike, her body wasn't as quick to respond as her brain WAS, as she only realized Akari was coming by the time the turtle was meters from clocking her. She got her arm up to block, but the momentum of the impact "Ughhhh!" Edith barely had time to react as Akari's knee connected with a sickening thud, sending her crashing through the ropes and tumbling off the apron. She hit the arena floor hard, her body sprawled out, her breath ragged as she tried to process what had just happened. This was a strategic retreat, as being on the outside meant Edith had time to gather herself after Akari’s assault. Edith’s mind was racing even as her body refused to cooperate. She could feel the dull throb in her skull from the double piledriver, the bruise forming from the knee strike, and the stinging pain in her back from the harsh landing. She knew she had to make every moment outside the ring count. She took in deep, steadying breaths, her chest rising and falling as she tried to regroup after the brutal attack.

The referee began the count, each number feeling like a lifeline for Edith. But she also knew that staying outside too long would cost her another point, and she couldn't afford that. Still, Akari had options—she could let Edith stay out and take the easy score, or she could risk it all with a high-flying dive, something that might finally put Edith away for good. Edith’s senses were on high alert despite her battered state as she considered the various things Akari could try to do; she had to be ready for anything.

Edith slowly began to stir, propping herself up on her elbows and dragging herself toward the apron, her fingers gripping it tightly as she struggled to stand. The fans rallied behind her, cheering her on with renewed energy. Edith staggered to her feet, leaning heavily on the Apron as the referees count got to a five. Regardless of what Akari did next, she was ready. For now, all she could do was catch her breath, and hope that the Hidden Gem still had some shine left to outsmart the Sea Turtle in the next few minutes.

After knocking Edith to the outside, the Sea Turtle was fully amped up with all the momentum in her corner after knocking the hell out of her opponent. She felt fired up and ready to go for more, and while she could've easily stayed in the ring to let Edith get counted out, there was no guarantee that the woman wouldn't make it back in before the count was up, meaning Akari would potentially be handing Edith nearly ten valuable seconds of recovery time...something she DEFINITELY couldn't afford to do. So, the Sea Turtle decided to pull a move that no one would expect, flashing a smile at the crowd before turning her back on the Hidden Gem. Breaking out into a sprint, Akari would hit the ropes as hard as she could to LAUNCH herself back in Edith's direction, charging forward on her attempt of diving straight through the ropes and spiraling through the air at Edith with a Tope Suicida Tornillo!!!

Edith barely had time to steady herself against the apron before Akari came soaring through the ropes like a missile. The spiraling Tope Suicida Tornillo connected with devastating precision, slamming into Edith's chest with a thunderous impact and causing the pinkette to go crashing backwards right into the barricade as the sonic sea turtle would catch her with her fancy pants down....not literally just like a igure of speech you PERV. Regardless, Edith was left in a bad way

The pain jolted through her body like a lightning bolt, shocking her system awake as her dazed mind suddenly sharpened with the adrenaline surge. Gritting her teeth, Edith clutched at the barricade to keep herself upright, her breathing ragged but determined. She could hear the referee's voice as they restarted the count, Edith's legs shaking as the adrenaline rush sadly had the addition of her feeling the pain surging through her back. Her grip on the barricade faltered, and she dropped to her knees, her head hanging low as she gasped for air. Every breath burned in her lungs, and her battered frame screamed for time to recover or simply give up, but her mind refused to falter.

Brushing her hair from her face in an almost casually comical way conisdering how much pain she was in, Edith blinked rapidly, forcing her vision to focus as she surveyed the situation. The crowd's roar blurred into the background as she analyzed Akari's movements, trying to anticipate the Sea Turtle's next assault. With the referee's count ticking higher, Edith knew even with the counter restarted she had precious little time to both recover and devise a counter.

"Gh-...that's gonna hurt in the morning-...hehe-..." She joked, collapsing against the apron of the ring as she and Edith took a breather, the two exchanging glances of respect as Akari smiled brightly at her pink-haired foe, adoring just how amazing the woman truly was. She only wished that she and Edith could've faced off in the ring sooner. To think such an extraordinary opponent had been missing from her life and career for this long. Better late than never, one could say!

"H-...hah-...you've got-...quite the poker face..." She said in response to Edith's casual reaction. The Hidden Gem was a tough nut to crack, and Akari admired that about her. It wasn't often that the Sea Turtle was faced with someone so good at masking their pain, putting it all behind them, and moving forward without relenting. Edith worked like a machine to put on the best performance possible, yet her matches were never soulless. Be it a struggle or a one-sided affair, Edith showed up to FIGHT. She was a Gem in the sense that not only was she beautiful and radiant...and probably worth hundreds of thousands in value as a talent...but also because she was tough and honed through intensive pressure, something Akari could relate to. "Well, let's not keep these people waiting any longer-..." She said, picking herself up off the apron as the referee continued to count.


Akari wasn't willing to risk losing a point to a count-out, so she'd attempt to grab Edith and roll her back into the ring. If she wasn't interrupted, Akari would attempt to springboard off the ropes from the outside, leaping into the ring to hit Edith with a quick Springboard 450 Splash...simple, stylish, and effective, piling on more pressure onto the Gem's body as she attempted to pin her immediately after the fact.

Edith caught Akari’s bright smile out of the corner of her eye and couldn’t help but smirk through her pain, giving the Sea Turtle a subtle nod of respect. The moment of camaraderie was fleeting, though, as Akari moved to pick the still dazed Edith back up roll Edith back into the ring, clearly determined to keep the pressure on. But Edith wasn't about to let her dictate the rhythm now that she had a moment to get her tempo back. Using Akari’s momentum against her, Edith spun sharply on the apron, her body whipping around before she'd catch her with The King of Jazz Lariat ! THe impact smacking Edith and Akari back down to the floor, with Akari clearly the worst end of the counterattack.

Edith pushed herself back up, her chest rising and falling as she fought to steady herself. Shaking her head as if to clear the cobwebs, she straightened up and grabbed a handful of Akari’s gear, pulling the Sea Turtle off the ground and rolling her back into the ring. The pinkette followed quickly, sliding in under the bottom rope despite the ache that threatened to lock up her body.

“Not done yet…” Edith muttered, her voice laced with a soft grit as she dragged herself upright, pain etched across her face, her body screaming for reprieve, but she ignored it, focusing entirely on the task at hand. Gritting her teeth, she reached down and grabbed Akari by the arm, forcing the stunned Sea Turtle to her feet. Hooking an arm firmly around Akari’s neck, Edith used her other hand to grip a handful of her opponent’s tights. With a fierce yank on the fabric, she hoisted Akari into the air, the extra pull on the trunks giving her the leverage she needed to elevate the Sea Turtle fully. Holding her opponent suspended for a heartbeat that felt like an eternity, Edith’s muscles strained as she pivoted, and with a quick twist, she brought Akari crashing down to the mat, seamlessly transitioning into Black Magic. The Suplex cutter would hitt perfectly, as was natrual for edith, sending a sonic shockwave through the mat! Edith, however, didn’t waste a second. Gritting her teeth after the impact, clutching her back she would fight against the pain coursing through her, as she rolled over and hooked Akari’s leg tightly, pressing her weight down as the referee dropped to the mat. looking to tie the score!

As Akari moved in to catch up with Edith, she was caught off-guard by a sudden pain in her chest as the Hidden Gem sprung back to life, whipping herself around in one fluid motion and ROCKING the Sea Turtle straight to her core with a rather powerful Lariat maneuver, knocking Akari to the floor outside and leaving her stunned in disbelief as the pain washed over her like a tidal wave. The crowd erupted in a series of thunderous hollers as they were further divided, with many supporting the Hidden Gem while others cheered for the Turtle to get back up. However, the latter cheers would not be answered as Edith moved to capitalize on this golden ticket of an opportunity.

Akari was rolled under the bottom rope, groaning and wheezing as she clutched her chest, feeling weak and numb as her ears rang. The Sea Turtle was helpless in the face of her dark-skinned opponent, unable to counter Edith's following move as she was dragged to her feet while deep into her dazed stupor, stumbling around before Edith secured her in place, lifting her off the canvas, twisting her around, and SLAMMING her back down across the mat with passion and panache!!! The Suplex-Cutter combination was executed to perfection, as expected from someone of the Hidden Gem's caliber. Akari's body would bounce on the canvas after the initial impact. If the woman wasn't already out like a light from that Lariat prior, this was definitely the nail in the coffin that would net the pink-haired woman an easy path toward tying things up with the Turtle as the referee slides in to make the count.

The crowd erupted in a deafening roar as the referee’s hand slapped the mat for the third time, signaling the end of the match. Edith, the Hidden Gem, had managed to tie the score with Akari, the Sea Turtle, in a breathtaking display of resilience, strategy, and sheer willpower. The arena was electric, fans on their feet, chanting both women’s names as the two competitors lay sprawled on the mat, utterly spent from the grueling contest.

Edith, still clutching her back and wincing in pain, rolled onto her side and pushed herself up to her knees. Her chest heaved as she struggled to catch her breath, her body battered but her spirit unbroken. She glanced over at Akari, who was slowly stirring, her face a mask of exhaustion and respect. Even so, Edith, ever the professional, rose to her feet with a measured calmness, her movements deliberate and focused. She had no time to show off. The score was tied, and she knew the next few moments could decide the outcome of the match. Her breathing was heavy but controlled, her eyes sharp and locked onto Akari as the Sea Turtle struggled to her feet in the corner, waiting to see if Akari would crawl to the corner, glacning at the timer.

The Hidden Gem didn’t waste time with theatrics. She stood tall, her posture upright and confident, she let the rhyme of her movements pulse through her body, her expression unreadable as she pointed a single finger toward Akari. It wasn’t a taunt or a show of arrogance—it was a silent declaration of intent, a signal that she was coming for her! Edith took a moment to plant her feet firmly on the mat, feeling the shakiness of her body, still clearly dealing with the after effects of all the hard hits, but she pushed the discomfort out of her mind. She exhaled sharply, her focus razor-sharp, before launching herself forward with a burst of speed. There was no wasted motion, no unnecessary flair—just a perfect straight-line charge toward her, her body twisting with precision as she swung her leg up in a high, powerful arc, aiming to drive her boot into Akari’s face with her signature "Mr. Big!"
