Laura Kozłowska(D) vs Yumie Hayashi

Laura managed to escape Yumie's onslaught for a brief moment, enough to execute a swift tripping move leading directly into a kneebar. It was far from picture perfect, Laura despite relying on submissions a lot in this match was far from the best grappler when it came to the proper form but she was fast in applying what she knew and that was what she needed. Competing with Yumie on other plains was just not an option with the gap in strength so she was strategizing with what she had.

Despite that, her opponent was proving even more resistant than Laura assumed to start with, managing to not only withstand the hold but even drag them both to the ropes. This time though, Laura was having no plan on releasing the hold early, trying to keep it as tight as possible all the way to the ropes and even with the rope break, she waited till the referee ordered her to let go before doing so. She was milking the hold for all it was worth as the leg targeting strategy seemed her best chance. Still, she would not try to defy the ref and let go of the hold, taking a step back to let Yumie get up as well.

Yumie was getting tired of her opponent's submissions and especially the targeting of her legs and she knew she would have to stop another from happening after she escaped this current one. Dragging the two of them to the ropes Yumie gripped the bottom one as if it depended on it. "ROPES!" she shouted but her opponent wasn't letting go, not until the referee stepped in. So her opponent really wanted to play it like that fine! Yumie swung her free leg up as her opponent began to release her aiming to kick her in the side of the head as a nice parting shot, and a non verbal sign that she was through playing games!

Yumie would then pull herself up using the ropes, briefly limping on the leg her opponent continued to target before turning and facing her opponent with a glare ready to put this woman through some pain and torment of her own!

Laura wasn't really aiming to anger Yumie, and keeping the hold locked for a few seconds after the opponent grabbed the ropes was not uncommon, even among wrestlers who tended to play nice with their opponents so it was quite a surprise for Laura when she noticed Yumie try and kick her in retaliation, being forced to push harder off the mat to roll away from danger.

It seemed though that now she was firmly in Yumie's bad books and she did not care to see what that would entail. Once they were both on their feet and Laura got treated with an angry glear, she would dart in, trying to get some headway with striking by launching a quick one-two combo to Yumie's head before a low kick to her calf

Yumie wasn't a fan of her opponent targeting a limb and then keeping a hold locked in longer than she had to, to her it felt annoying and reckless like they were trying to increase the risk of one of them getting injured. Laura though was quick to get out of range of the kick. Growling and muttered under her breath Yumie rose and glared at Laura and soon enough the woman darted toward her. Being greeted with a punch to the face Yumie thought quickly and predicted the next punch and caught Laura's wrist before raising her knee aiming to drill it into Laura's stomach a few times before stepping back if successful still holding Laura's wrist before running back at the woman aiming to knock her down with a ripcord lariat!

Laura managed to advance forward with a punch but her combo got interacted as Yumie not only managed to avoid the punch but stop it mid-flight, leaving Laura befuddled at the woman's sheer strength before another proof of it lodged itself into her belly. "Ghaa!" The first knee caught her by surprise, making her lean forward but she was prepared for the subsequent ones as she braced her core.

Before she could return the damage done to her, however, Yumi would pull her forward, slamming her arm into Laura's neck and nigh on taking it clean off her neck as it sent her crashing down to the mat. Upon impact, Laura would arch her back and cough, turning to her side to try and alleviate some pain before trying to get on all fours.

Yumie's knee strike landed hard forcing her opponent to lean where two more knee strikes would land before Yumie pulled her and knocked her down with her arm across the neck! Yumie would stand over Laura watching as the woman rolled and eventually got back up on her hands and knees. Stepping over the woman Yumie would tower over her before dropping down onto Laura's back to force her flat. From there Yumie would grab the woman's arms attempting to slide forward and bring them over her thighs. If successful Yumie would then grab her opponent's chin and pull back locking in an agonizing camel clutch! "How about a nice stretch?" Yumie would tease.

Laura was slowly making her way back to her feet but her progress there was halted as Yumie stomped on her back, forcefully reuniting the blond with the ground and eliciting a groan of pain in response. She wouldn't be able to make an escape this time however as Yumie would seat herself atop her and drag her into a tight camel clutch, stretching Laura's neck and back. "Ghyyyyya!" She cried out, panicked for a moment from pain. It would take a moment for her to focus again, trying to get a palm of one of her hands under Yumie's thigh, then curling up her leg and pushing off the mat with it to try and roll them to the side, hopefully letting her escape the hold that way!

Yumie's hands fixed themselves neatly onto Laura's chin and pulled back. This move was classic, it was common, but it most certainly was the best way to put your opponent in some pain while making them into a comfortable seat at the same time. Laura was no slouch though as she regained her composure and began to feel for a way out and eventually managed to roll them to the side. Being on the receiving end quite a bit though, Yumie wasn't about to give up or let her opponent off easy. "Oh no you don't!" the Japanese woman shouted trying to get one of her arms around her opponent's neck to restrain and choke her. If successful Yumie would wrap her legs around her opponents torso to make getting out of it an even harder affair!

Things just kept getting worse for Laura, her attempt not only didn't work but got her cought in a choke hold of all things. She was tired already ad even at best of times a hold like this would not let her keep conscious for more than a few seconds if well applied and this now, it sure felt tight. There was however something that would take even less time.

Trying to distract Yumie and potentially make her abandon the hold, Laura would throw her weight to the side again to get Ymie underneath her, getting a wide base with her legs before bridging up to force the woman's shoulders against the mat for an improvised pin while she tried to get a hold of Yumie's supporting arm to try and wrench it free!

Yumie smirked as she kept her choke locked in and rested her chin on Laura's shoulder. "Tap out of take a nap cutie" Yumie teased as she turned her head and kissed Laura on the cheek. That was when Lauara made her move, rolling to the side, putting Yumie beneath her and on the mat, the woman's bridge quickly pressing Yumie's shoulders to the mat for a pin! Seeing this the referee quickly dropped down and began to count!

"ONE, TWO!"

"NOPE!" Yumie shouted quickly releasing her choke and raising her shoulder to break the pin before rolling away. It was a close call for both parties, Yumie was almost pinned and Laura was almost choked out. Yumie soon pushed back up to her feet ready to continue this match right into its climax!
