Emily Nelson vs Peggy McIntyre

Peggy was down. Peggy was visibly hurting. But Peggy had shown a tendency to get up again even after Emily had seemingly put her down, and so Peggy probably wasn't done.

Wearily, Emily got up to her feet and walked over to the downed Irish girl and grabbed a hold of her head to hoist her to her feet. Once she did so, Emily would slide one arm under the girl's thigh, and lift her up sideways for a second...that was, before she dropped down and brought the girl crashing down across her outstretched knee in a backbreaker!

Peggy groaned as she was lift up like dead weight by Emily. She weakly moved her limbs and shook her head as she was lift up and brought crashing down hard across Emily's knee! "AAAHHHHHHHH!" Peggy howled as she flopped weakly to the mat kicking the canvas a couple times as her faces twisted in pain. Peggy's arms covered her face as she was in so much pain she was on the edge of tears, wanting to hide that fact from everyone present wrestler or crowd.

Emily almost winced at the pain of Peggy's shriek as she nailed her with the backbreaker. As the Irish girl toppled down, kicking at the mat, Emily saw her covering her face-- no doubt to cover up the tears of pain. Emily felt a pang of guilt at that moment. Once upon a time, she had been in Peggy's shoes, getting wrecked in the ring by a determined opponent, ashamed of a bad showing in front of the crowd.

Knowing it was time to end this match, Emily strode over to Peggy and grabbed her hair to pull her to her feet, before tucking her head under her arm. Grabbing the back of Peggy's leotard, Emily would huff and lift her up so that she was perpendicular off the mat, letting the blood flow to Peggy's head. Then, finally, Emily would drop back, aiming to slam Peggy down to the mat with her signature sheer drop brainbuster finisher!

Peggy groaned as she felt herself picked up. She was held upside down and she shook her head trying to kick her legs and flail to get Emily to drop her, but things didn't go well for Peggy. She crashed hard to the mat head first as she let outa howl of pain, cradling her head as she flopped near lifelessly other mat and looked like she may have been outright knocked out.

Peggy was down, and she was barely moving. As fiercely as the Irish girl had fought, she seemed to be out of it now, and Emily saw no need to prolong this brutal match any further. Dropping down next to Peggy, she lay across her foe, hooking one of her legs for a pinfall. In an instant, the ref was down next to them.

"1..."

Peggy moaned in pain, the shout growing louder as time went on. She raised her free leg up once and let it flop to the mat as her thigh quaked along with the still bouncing ring ropes.

"TWO!"

"No.........no......" Peggy groaned as she kicked the mat again only succeeding in making the soft mass of her thigh and backside ripple as she couldn't try any harder to kick out. "Noooooooooooooooooo!"

"THREE!"

The bell rang and Peggy would flop to her side, her arms covering her face as she was stallion dazed agony, kicking the canvas in pain as she yet again lost and could already hear the crowd roaring as her opponent stood tall over her. Another fit, pretty lady taking it to Peggy and Lauren. She was fed up and felt done with it at this point.

Emily felt Peggy struggling to rise underneath her, trying desperately to get a shoulder up. Emily could tell, though, that the Irish girl was too weak to fight on, and her efforts came to naught as the countdown went on. Then, finally, the count reached three: as the bell rang, Emily rolled wearily off of Peggy, exhaustedly raising an arm in victory after this intense, hard fought match.

Taking a few seconds to lie on her back and catch her breath, Emily would slowly and painfully rise to her feet. As much as the Irish girl's trash talk had rubbed her the wrong way, she had to give credit where it was due: Peggy HAD given her a hard match.

"Oi," she said, extending a hand down to Peggy. "You alright down there? Can ye stand?"

Peggy was laid out covering her head still while kicking as she heard Emily talk to her. "Yeah. I get it I lost again and this is the obligatory 'you will work harder and do better' or something." Peggy said as she reached up and took Emily's hand but didn't look her in the eye, her head turned to the side. "Thanks for not rubbing it in." Peggy said, and she did genuinely mean that.

She just hoped a pep talk wasn't coming. Her and Lauren heard enough of those. Didn't these people realize how hard they worked? Didn't anyone see that all that work all leading to losses anyway was frustrating especially for the younger Peggy who was trying to show Japan that McIntyre women like her aunt and herself weren't just jobbers for Japanese wrestlers? Peggy was failing at the one and only thing she really wanted to prove in a ring.

Emily didn't know what to expect when she extended a hand down to Peggy. Some gratitude, perhaps, or at the very least showing some courtesy in defeat? Instead, Peggy once again made a snide remark at her-- although as bitter as she was, she at least didn't go further with the insults. Emily frowned in annoyance: Peggy's behaviour had rubbed her the wrong way ever since the start of this match, and while Emily understood that it came from a place of frustration, it annoyed her all the same.

"Actually, I was going t' say you nearly had me several times in our bout," Emily replied. "That it was a close run thing, and that you actually gave me a hell of a fight. That if ye've been working hard to be a good wrestler, then I'd say ye've already gotten there, and to hell with what anyone else thinks." She folded her arms. "But, what the hell do I know, eh?"

And with that, after shaking Peggy's hand (as it was only the right thing to do, regardless of Peggy's behaviour), Emily would turn to leave the ring.

Peggy was in shock as Emily kept speaking, and she tilted her head to the side slightly. "I... well thanks. I actually mean that n' as much as losing pisses me off you beat me clean, no funny business." Peggy said. "Listen... I will see ya soon in the ring, at the gym, or something. If ya think that means me talkin' is gonna stop though you are wrong n' next time I see ya my slams are gonna keep ya down." Peggy said with a smirk and her hands on her hips before she gave Emily a nod before making her own exit.
