New Dawn: Catalina 'Cat' Vicente vs Lucy Monroe (D)

Pinned between the mat and her opponent Catalina would grunt and groan, her arms feeling sore already as Lucy pounded her with fist after fist from above, even taking potshots at her sides to weaken her defenses but she held firm, knowing that a opening would soon present itself. Sure enough just as she thought and hoped for, Lucy's punches would stop cold as soon as some 'You suck' chants started. Regardless of why they started Lucy seemed to have gotten caught up in them, giving Catalina the perfect opportunity to turn things around!

Throwing her legs up Cat would try and hook them under Lucy's arms while she was distracted! If successful in doing so than Catalina would look to use her legs to pull Lucy down to the mat and off of her, allowing the Argentinian the chance to sit up and grab onto Lucy's hips, effectively reversing their positions and putting Lucy into a roll up pin, the ref dropping down to start the pin count!

Why... "WHY?" She yelled back at them, she hated this, she hadn't done a single thing wrong. "You guys suc-ah!" She suddenly whined as she felt a pair of legs hooking around one of her arms. Lucy would fall onto the mat. It all happened so fast that she had no idea what was going on. It only took the second slam on the mat for Lucy to realize that she was being pinned. She had to do something but.

"Three!"

The dreaded number could be heard as the ref had counted. Lucy shoved Cat off of her the second after that. Sitting up with a look of disbelief. Did that really happen? She lost just like that.She had wide eyes and a hand up to her mouth as she could hear the crowd being happy that the girl that they rooted for had won. Lucy couldn't help but start to tear up, hiding her face in her hands. It was supposed to be her night, her big moment and the start to her illustrous career but she dropped it ball...

"THREE!!!"

The ref yelled, causing the bell to ring as Catalina let go of her opponent and sat up, blinking softly, not quite expecting the pin to be that effective so early on, but she definitely wouldn't complain. Sitting up and smiling brightly while the crowd began cheering Catalina would have her hand raised by the ref before turning her opponent who.. understandably was quite upset.

Gently pulling her arm away from the ref Catalina would crouch in front of Lucy and extend a hand out to her. "Hola. I just wanted to say, that was a great match, even if it was short, but I think you're quite good!" Catalina said cheerily, waiting to see if the red head would grasp her hand so that she could help her up.

Lucy winced as she felt the hand that was extended toward her. She was in the corner as the girl who she thought was small suddenly just seemed larger than life... She felt like a side character, one that was shoved aside to let the hero continue her adventure. It didn't help that Cat was so nice and humble after everything. She started to reached toward the hand only to stop herself. She forced a smile on her face and would shake her head. "Thank you but...I don't think I'm quite ready." She croaked, her voice was a little hoarse as she rolled out of the ring with her head hung low.

She started her way up the ramp as she heard a voice. "You'll win next time!" It was faint, drowned out by all the other cheers but Lucy managed to catch it. There were always going to be contratians no matter what you're doing but she had someone rooting for her. It was a spark, one that was going to one day light it's way through the audience until they'd all be cheering for her. "One day." She whispered.

Truthfully Catalina still felt somewhat bad. Lucy really looked to be feeling down about the loss, but just as she was about to speak the girl took her hand and shook it, making Catalina smile. Only for Lucy to say she wasn't ready. Naturally Cat was about to argue that point but before she could the girl rolled out of the ring, making her frown while watching the girl walk up the ramp... only to stop as some fans started to cheer her. Perking up hearing and seeing this Catalina would join in. "Next time!" she cried out from the ring with a bright smile on her face while waving, ignoring her victory in favor of propping up Lucy.
