A Halloween Reunion: Nashi Dragneel vs. Yukino Fuyumi [D]

Yukino could hear all the cheers coming for her, all the people chanting her name. They may not have been as loud as those cheering for Nashi - she had, after all, only just made her debut in the ring, without the previous showings Nashi had made, so all she had going for her were those who recognized her from her idol days and those who saw what she could do and wanted to see more of it. But even so, that was enough for Yukino. She heard every voice that was calling her name, urging for her to break free, and she was all the more motivated, for all of their sakes, to keep fighting - to give them the comeback they knew she deserved! So she clenched her teeth, her brow furrowing under the pressure she put on herself, and threw her weight from side to side, hoping that she could summon enough momentum to dislodge Nashi from her back.

And yet...nothing worked. Nashi was locked into place, and Yukino's energy was already flagging from how she'd applied herself in the match. All she was doing was burning through what little reserves she had, until soon, she was panting and gasping, her face red from the strain. And when that happened, something dropped in the pit of her stomach. Her body was stiff, her limbs hanging heavy. She didn't have what she needed to get out - and that meant she had no choice but to let everyone down, everyone who had come to watch her, who had cheered for her, who had believed in her. If that happened...then her first outing in the ring was doomed to be a failure. Her body began to stiffen as the realization set in, and tears formed in her eyes as her stomach tightened into knots. As the referee came closer to ask if she gave up, Yukino's eyes squeezed shut, too afraid to face the fans when she was forced to signal her surrender...

And yet, it was just then that Nashi saw fit to let her go. As she felt her grip give way, the white-haired girl looked up with a gasp, her eyes going wide. "What..!?" She hadn't seen such a move coming from Nashi - not when it seemed like victory was just around the corner for her. But then, it set in. Nashi believed in her so much, and cared about her so much, that she was willing to give her a fighting chance, even if she denied herself a picture perfect victory in doing so - even when the whole arena was cheering for her to follow through. Yukino's smile grew wide across her face, and her eyes began to water with tears of joy. Only Nashi, she thought, would have been kind enough to do such a thing for her...

"Right!!" she cheered. Finding new strength, Yukino hopped back to her feet, her hand tightening into a fist that she pumped in the air as she turned back to face her opponent. It didn't matter that her body was sore a moment ago - she saw her chance, and she was ready to take it! "I really owe you for this one, Nashi...let me make you proud!" With that, she took a step forward before swinging her leg out with her next stride, aiming a superkick straight for Nashi's jaw!

Nashi knew that she was one step closer to victory, however a victory like this especially against her time best friend didnt feel right for the idol. When Yukino burst into tears and fist pumped the air, Nashi grinned”alright then this is round 3 the big finish!” She shouted proudly for everyone to hear.

She got in a stance ready for a third lockup, but didn’t except Yukino to super kick her in the law”AHh!!!” She screamed stumbling back in a dazed state. She was leaning back and forth trying to get her conciseness back to normal before Yukino striked again!

Yukino had been given another chance. While she and Nashi were both competitors, and both were trying to win, they were both idols at heart, and they wanted to give their fans a show they wouldn't forget - after all, this was their long-awaited reunion, and they weren't going to waste it! Suddenly, she found herself invigorated by the cheers, and not even her sore muscles pained her any longer. Now, she turned her chin up to face the crowd with a smile. If they wanted a show, she would be sure to give them one!

Her leg lashed out in a lightning-fast kick, slamming straight into Nashi's jaw and taking her down with a thud, her head cracking back from the blow. Now, as she looked down at where she had fallen, she grinned even wider - not just because she had struck true, but because this meant Nashi was down, which gave her the opportunity she needed to strike. As she stepped closer to her friend, she struggled to contain her giddyness; she was practically shaking with enthusiasm for what she finally had a chance to do! It was time for Yukino to demonstrate a move she'd been waiting a long time to show off to the fans!

"Hey, Nashi..." she said, "I don't think I told you...but I've been working on a new move!" She bent down to grab Nashi by the wrist - just before she fell down into the splits, putting one leg straight out behind her, and her other straight forward, to pull Nashi's spine up against her foot in a modified version of the surfboard hold! Yukino had always been flexible, and she had won fame in some of their concerts for pulling off the splits. Now, she could leverage that in the ring, dragging Nashi's back against the pressure!

"I call this...the Ice Splitter! Pretty cool, huh?" She threw her head back and clenched her teeth to steel herself, while the fans cheered. However, while the move was visually impressive, it was still Yukino's first match, and she hadn't had the time to refine it. She was putting a lot of strain on her legs to hold the position, especially when her foot was fixed against Nashi's back and pushing with all her might, and when she only had Nashi's one wrist to hold onto, it would be easy enough for the pink-haired girl to free herself if she could get enough momentum to roll herself to the side.

Nashi was dazed unable to focus on the match at hand. Hell from her perspective she was seeing 3 Yukino’s! However she had the wind knocked out of her from the kick”AHhh!” She screamed on the floor of the mat. However things only got worse the fiery idol, as Yukino busted out her finisher Ice splitter”Ahhh AHhHH!!!” Nashi screamed loudly with the entire crowd hearing her screams of pain. Both ladies had exceptional legs, but Yukino’s were stronger.

Nashi gritted in pain as she tried to use every last ounce of strength she could muster to roll out of this hold. If successful she would stand up and aim for a knee kick to Yukino’s face!

When Yukino got the hold locked in, the whole arena burst out into cheers. And in the middle of it all, there she was - her hands wrapped around Nashi's wrists, her foot pressed tightly into her back, and a bright smile flashing across her face as she looked up at the fans going wild! Her heart was pounding with excitement, and she had to stifle the urge to let out a tear of joy. Yukino could never have believed it would all play out this perfectly, but she couldn't ask for a better debut. Not only was she about to triumph, she thought, she got to debut her all-new finishing move in the process, and she would have the perfect opportunity to show it off to the world - and best of all, everyone was cheering her on through it all, just as enthusiastically as any concert she and Nashi had performed in! She had made it! All that was left was for the ref to make the call, and that ref was just now sliding in to check Nashi for any signs of submission...

But Yukino had gotten caught up in the excitement, and she hadn't realized the flaws in her strategy. She was banking on a move that had never been proven in a real match before, before she had even gotten a chance to build up her strength and develop it into an effective finisher. Yet the allure of such a picture-perfect finish had gotten to her head, and in her heart she wanted this to be enough. She didn't think she even needed to hold on any tighter - so when Nashi began to roll back and forth, struggling from side to side, until she finally worked up enough momentum to kick free of Yukino's grasp, it caught the white-haired girl totally by surprise!

"NO-!!" she cried out in shock. Her balance thrown off by Nashi's escape, Yukino bent over forward, letting go of her arms as she rolled out of her clutches. Her jaw dropped open in a gasp, and she stared back at Nashi in complete disbelief. Her guard had been let down - leaving her wide open as Nashi's knee kicked out and caught her full in the face! With the sound of a crack, Yukino's head was thrown backward, and the rest of her body soon followed as she struck the mat with a thud, her arms and legs splayed at her sides.

Nashi was successfully able to escape the painful hold and landed a knee kick to knock her friend down! Nashi knows she could go for the finish here….. but she knew how much Yukino was excited for a big victory and doing something like that for a finish would feel… empty.

The fire idol would go other to Yukino, pull her up by the hair. From there on, the idol went to wrap her arm around her leg and the other around her neck. Nashi went to use her remaining strength to lift her up and slam her down on the mat! If successful Nashi would aim to cover Yukino and raise her leg for a pin

For Yukino, everything had slowed down to a crawl. Just moments ago, she was getting geared up to celebrate what would have been a victory she would never forget. Her very first match in LAW, and she got to win it with a specatcular new move, to a packed crowd all cheering her name. It was the dream she had always had ever since she started training, but she never would have imagined it would come so soon. But just when Yukino thought everything would come together perfectly, everything changed.

Yukino had been laid out flat, her body plastered to the canvas as her chest rose and fell with labored breaths. She tried to will the strength into her body enough to get up, but she could hardly even move; all of her muscles tensed up and her teeth clenched in a grimace just before she dropped to her back again. But if Yukino thought that was bad, she had seen nothing yet! Suddenly, she felt Nashi grab at her hair, lifting her to her feet, and she rose with a gasp. Then, Nashi leaned in to pull her forward and hook her leg, pulling her up onto her shoulders! Yukino had been over enough in her training to see what was coming - Nashi was setting up a fisherman suplex, but by the time she realized it, it was too late to do anything to stop her!

"Whoah, whoah, whoah, hey-! AAAAHHH!!" Yukino cried out in shock, but by then, it was too late. She was already being swung through the air, up until she struck the mat with the sound of a crack, landing hard enough to cause a few fans in the stands to wince. Her eyes glazed over, and she let out a groan as she settled into the mat. She couldn't find the strength in her to get up - and soon enough, the referee hit the mat again for another count!

"THREE!!!"

As the bell rang, the referee moved in to hold up Nashi's hand, as Misa stepped back into the ring to gesture to the pink-haired girl with a flourish. "Here is your winner, NASHI DRAGNEEL!!"

At this point her body has taken its tole. She was exhausting running out of energy, if this pin didn’t work it will be all over for Nashi. So when she heard the bell ring, the Firey idol had tears rolling down her eyes, this was her first true victory in law. When the ref helped her up Nashi went over and grabbed Yukino’s hat and put on her to the crowds enjoyment.

However something felt lost, she turned over to Misa and gestured the mic be given to her. If Misa allowed this she would say”thank you everyone and especially to my best friend Yukino!!!” She helped her up and raised her arm”GIVE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THE TRUE SUPERSTAR!!!!” She shouted with the crowd cheering both idols. Nashi would look at her and say into the mic” and this ain’t the end of us, we were a duo in the idol business and now an team in the ring wouldn’t you say Yukino?” She smirked confidently to her best friend wondering how she would react.

The match was over. And, in the end, Nashi had won. Yukino was still shaken from the landing, but she was coming back to her senses just in time to hear the call being made - and when she did, she glanced down, letting out a sigh. She'd given it her all...but it wasn't quite enough. Yukino wanted to make sure her debut in LAW counted; that she would make a splash. She had seen that Nashi hadn't been having the best of luck, and she wanted to prove that the two of them could still take on the best the wrestling world had to offer. To her, the best way to do that was to show a strong presence in her first match. For a moment, it actually looked like she was about to win. But then, at the last minute...all of that had slipped through her fingers.

She let out a sigh, turning away from Nashi to try and hide the tears that were welling up in her eyes. One part of her was happy for Nashi to have won the match, and she didn't want to take that away from her. But she couldn't help but be disappointed that her own efforts hadn't been enough - and worse, she gulped as she thought about how if she lost here, in her first match, she might really be hopeless; maybe this was proof she couldn't get anywhere...

But then, Yukino heard something she wasn't prepared for. All of a sudden, Nashi spoke into the microphone - and she called for the crowd to show their cheers for Yukino, too! At this, the Winter Idol sat up straighter, taking in a gasp and holding her hand to her mouth. She was surprised, at first. But then, she realized it. If Nashi so wanted, she had every opportunity to gloat, and to make this victory hers and hers alone. But she wanted Yukino to be involved. She wanted her to be recognized for her part in the match just as much as she was for hers. Just like she'd always had, even back when they were idols - when Yukino was worried that she would just drag their group down, and Nashi was there to encourage her to sing her heart out all the same.

And when Yukino rose to her feet, and she heard the cheers ring out from the stands, she felt the tears roll down her cheeks again - but these were tears of joy. She was standing here beside her best friend, with everyone celebrating them, loving them. She felt like she was back on stage, listening to the cheers of all their fans as they closed off another successful concert - and with Nashi at her side, reminding her that the two of them could make anything happen. It was like she had never left.

"Thanks, Nashi..." she sniffled a little, taking a step closer to her side, and looping an arm around her shoulder. She leaned in with a smile before she took the microphone for herself. Now, when she looked back out at the crowd, her voice was brimming with confidence. She might just have lost...but it didn't matter! Their future was still ahead of them, and it looked like a bright one!

"Nashi's right, everyone! The two of us used to stand arm in arm when we lit up the stage - and now that we're together in LAW, I think it's high time for a reunion! We might have put on a great match as opponents, but I think we all know the two of us work best as a team! What do say, Nashi? The two of us standing side by side again?"

The mere idea was enough to make the arena send up a loud cheer once again - something that made Yukino blush a little bit. But so too did Misa start to clap her hands as she approached the two girls with a smile on her face.

"A lovely idea, girls. And if I may say so myself, I have a proposition..."
