Bats, Blades, and Bushido (Hakune vs. Saya)

Even after the bell rang Hakune remained atop Saya. She immediately unhooked her leg, but actually trying to rise up and stand... it was as if nails had pinned the Samurai onto the mat. All the blows traded, the hits taken, and the absolute exhaustion from trying to maintain a strong front drained her completely. All she could manage was breathing, just taking in enough oxygen to not lose consciousness herself. I... won... And much like her battle with Maria, it felt like a dream. Even as her hands still rang and vibrated from clashing weapons with Saya part of her mind was still in denial. I won. The thought echoed much clearer, and slowly the Samurai was able to sit up.

The stadium was an explosion of cheers and celebrations, praising their underdog fighter for overcoming harsh opposition and reigning victorious. And for a moment, she took time to just... let all the emotions and praise wash over, eyes shut and letting the sounds ring out. But it was only for a moment, and she quickly rose. She let the referee raise her arm in victory, announcing her name and triumph, but she soon pulled away, moving over to her opponent.

The cheers died down, and there was a pause in the air. Hakune waited only a few moments longer in order to get her bearings and balance back. "Saya-san..." She then bowed, slowly and deeply, and the crowd was silent. She held the position for a few seconds before pulling herself upright, giving her opponent a kind smile.

"I hope our next match is even more exciting when we clash spirits again."

And the explosion of cheers that came before nearly double at the Samurai's words.
