Re: Lightning Strikes a Butterfly - Keqing Vs. Raquel Masters

After flooring Raquel with that brutal axe kick, Keqing felt confident enough that her opponent was down to attempt her own big high-flying attack. She grabbed Raquel by her arm and flipped her over so she lay on her back, setting her up for the move. Then she made her way to the corner of the ring and began climbing her way up to the top ropes. The going was a bit slower than usual, the punishment she had taken across this match catching up with her. But she still felt confident that she had enough time to make it to the top without any interference.

Once she was on top, she would raise her hand to the air, signalling to the crowd that she was about to attempt a huge high-risk attack. She would then turn her head back to look at Raquel, making sure her opponent was still flat on her back, gauging the distance she would have to jump.

"Time to end this!" Keqing said, taking a deep breath and letting out a yell, before jumping into the air. She threw herself backwards, arching her back all the way as she flipped through the air, executing a Moonsault of her own as she came crashing down upon Raquel's belly, hoping to crush her with the high-flying attack to end this match!

It seemed like high flying moonsaults were the bane of Raquel on this night. She had failed twice to land top rope offense and it had crushed her momentum each time. Now it was Keqing flying through the air and she would have no trouble finding her target. Raquel let out a weak, low moan as it landed seemingly lifeless after the impact leaving her totally laid out on the mat. She looked completely out of it, with nothing left in her. Indeed her body throbbed, ached and surged with pain so much that she couldn't even flop or writhe about on the canvas!

Keqing's high-flying attack was a success, smashing into Raquel's prone body and completely crushing her. Keqing let out a gasp of pain when she landed though, her belly was pretty badly bruised up and tenderized by Raquel, so landing belly-first on the tight hard body of her opponent was quite painful. She knew Raquel had the worse of it though, as Keqing did a number to the smaller woman's tummy as well. And it showed, as Raquel flopped lifelessly onto the mats after the brutal impact.

Keqing still had some life in her, though that moonsault left her groaning in pain as well. She gathered all her strength and willpower, reaching out with one arm to hook Raquel's leg and lock in a pin. Looking up at the ref, she gave her a small smile, letting out a huff when the referee finally came down to start the count. Keqing hoped that this time Raquel wouldn't be able to kick out.

"One! Two!"

Raquel was motionless as she was pinned, making this look more academic than anything at this point.

"THREE!"

The bell rang and Raquel let out a moan of agony, her arms covering her face as she lost. She was too hurt to even try to kick out of the pin and at most when her leg flopped to the mat she laid there looking up before rolling over onto her stomach and burying her face in her arms for a moment. Keqing was likely to be celebrating in the ring, so Raquel summoned the energy to roll towards the ropes, laying there and avoiding the glare of the spotlight as much as she could.

Though Keqing felt elated after the referee's three count, she was hit by a wave of exhaustion that made it very hard for her to get up. Beating Raquel had taken a lot out of her, and now that she felt relief from the tension of the match, all that exhaustion hit her at once. She dropped Raquel's leg and let out a small groan, taking the referee's hand to get back up to her feet. Keqing raised her arms in celebration, basking in the cheers of the crowd and enjoying her victory.

After a moment of celebration, she looked down to find Raquel rolled over onto her front with her head buried in her hands. She didn't look like she was taking her loss well, Keqing thought, though it may just be she was getting a headache from the bright lights. Being a good sport, Keqing bent over and extended her hand to Raquel, offering her some help to get back up.

"That was a really good match," Keqing said to Raquel as she offered her a hand, "Here, let me help you!" She gave her opponent a small smile to show her good intentions, hoping that Raquel wouldn't be too upset.

Raquel heard her opponent speak as she laid there not really wanting to look up but she did so her face still red from embarrassment. Keqing was offering to help her up, so Raquel took a breath and grabbed hold accepting the help back to her feet. "You got me. I could never keep you down to hit my high flying offense but you managed to stick me no problem." Raquel said pointing out a key difference in how each one was able to work out their strategy. "You beat me clean, congrats." Raquel said with as much of a smile as she could muster. Raquel raised Keqing's hand up and then stepped away, clapping for a moment before edging towards the ropes to make her exit from the arena.
