"OK...so, the debut didn't really go as planned...", Lya said out loud to herself: "Buuuuuut, it should be on the up from there...right?", she asked no one in particular, a crewmember passing through in the hallway quickly glancing at her, before continuing on his way...
Match No 2 of her revived wrestling career was against Asuka Wakahisa. The woman was fast, agile, and loved to take to the top rope quite a lot. That definitely reminded the Red Dragon of something...or someone...
Still, Asuka currently didn't have a single win to her name. This made Lya puff her cheeks slightly. She wanted to beat as many powerful competitors in LAW as she could, preferably to ascend to the status of the first challenger to the future LAW Middleweight champion as soon as possible...but, this match was set up by the management for her, the woman's dramatic style seemed to be promising a fun match ahead for Lya, even if it would likely be easy enough to win...
A few moments later, she got a cue that she is due for her entrance, and left the locker room in her red pants, and jacket with a dragon on it's back, and her favorite little "dragon" ears, to go to gorilla position, and eventually, the entrance ramp.
As Life Will Change played on the speakers, the Red Dragon entered met with massive cheers from the LAW fans. Seemed like she had already got back quite a good number of her fan following from her early days, putting a massive smile on the Canadian woman's face. Practically jumping with excitement for the match, Lya rushed down the entrance ramp, both arms outstretched to give as many high-fives as possible. Even as she approached the ring, she opted to go around it, clapping hands with practically every person in the front row. And as she noticed one teen in the crowd being slightly unsure of doing that, Lya stopped, and smiled a large, positive grin at him: "Come on, don't be shy!".
The man nodded, and clapped his hand against Lya's, before the woman continued her rush, finally getting everyone who was lucky enough to buy a front row ticket to today's show.
Done with high-fives, she jumped onto the ring apron, and then onto the top rope, before springboarding off of it, doing an impressive, backwards flip in the air, and landing right on her feet, to the massive cheer from the crowd, as she showed a massive smile from ear to ear on her face.
Her theme slowly dissipated, and she herself went to her assigned corner for tonight's match, taking off her jacket to reveal her pearly white wrestling top, and her ears as she awaited Strider Star's entrance...

Re: A High Flying Middleweight Clash! Asuka Wakahisa vs Lyanna Eon!
Asuka was in the back hall, waiting to be ushered over when her match was set to begin. Things hadn't been going her way as of late, but tonight would be the change to that. Maybe! She was trying everything to psyche herself up, currently she was doing jumping jacks and catching weird looks from passing talents.
"This is your job. This is your career. This is your life. Chin up." Pep talks were way easier when you were giving them rather than receiving them, especially when they were from you, for you. It was fine though. She just had to keep her cool and do her thing. Despite the lack of wins to her name, she still seemed to garner an impressive amount of fan support. It never ceased to amaze her how many people stood and cheered for her. It always made her feel so good, she just wished she didn't let them all down time after time.
"Strider, you're up! in one! Get moving!" A staffer with a clipboard came jogging up out of breath, waving her over. "Was looking all over!"
Asuka was no more as soon as the jumping jacks came to a stop. Hands firmly on her hips, she had become Strider ★ Star! ...And quickly scurried down the hall to gorilla position, calling back. "THANKS!"
Strider ★ Star came charging through the curtain, a infection spring in her step that got people up on their feel immediately. She pivoted on her heel, putting her back to the crowds, arms outstretched. Crouching down for an instant, she sprang off the floor, back flipping to center stage to an uproar of cheers. She whirling around to throw her hand outstretched to the heavens. Fingers spayed, her hand, her arm, her body shook as each digit closed up around an unseen force.
As she pulled her hand back down, the light show began. And explosion of colorful star shaped lights of varying colors and sizes spiraled around her from above, creating a cosmic aura swirling around her. She bounced with the bass in her theme, skipping to a far end of the stage, lights following behind her like the tail of a comet. With a dramatic leap she planted herself at the edge, as she called out to her Stargazers. "I am here!" She received a slow but steady chant of STAR from the crowd, those unfamiliar were catching on by the second. Soon most of the arena had been lit ablaze with her energy.
She turned sharply to charge to the other end of the stage, half way there she launched herself into the air into a dramatic corkscrew, landing in a crouch just shy of the edge of the stage, striking a heroic pose. "Let me hear your voices, lend me your energy!" Several people within the crowd jumped to their feet pumping their arms. A few held up their hands, actually trying to send her energy... go figure. She hadn't even left the stage and the crowd was already white hot!
As she jogged to center stage she pumped her fist, shouting "Star!" The normal roar of the crowd returning to chat for her specifically. She was beaming brightly. Nothing could stop her now!
As the vocals kicked in she was already roaring down the ramp at full tilt, arms pumping furiously. Near the bottom she threw herself forward, sliding down the remaining ramp on her knee pads, throwing her rams wide. When she reached the bottom, all the colorful stars that had been following her exploded outward, the lights spreading out into the crowd dramatically. She popped herself up to her feet, running around the outside of the barricade along the ring, arm outstretched to provide as many high fives as she could along the way. Tonight she used both arms, it seemed nearly everyone front row was reaching for her tonight. Once she had finished one full rotation she set her eyes on her opponent, giving the woman a small nod.
She climbed up onto the ring apron, gripping hold of the top rope. Leaning back she pulled the rope tight before diving herself up and over, landing inside the ring in another practiced tumble. As she jumped out of her roll she struck another dramatic pose mid ring to an uproar of applause. Her timing had been perfect again, striking her last big note before her music dyed off. She breathed a bit heavy, but how frequently she had done the routine was lessening the strain she put on herself early on. Rising to her feet fully, she turned to regard Lyanna with a giant friendly grin.
"Citizen, I can't say I've much of you. That tends to be a good sign, it means you are upstanding to be certain! I hope you aren't up to any sort of secret villainy." As Strider ★ Star she spoke with a slightly lower, commanding tone, not unlike something from a super hero cartoon show. She was really hamming it up, she always did in the ring. One could imagine the twinkling glint off her pearlie whites when she smiled.
"Let us have a good clear bout, and give these fine people a show worthy of remembering." She took a few steps back from center ring, giving her head a small polite bow to her opponent. Her feet shifted as her legs parted. Lowering her body down slightly her rams came up in a telltale stance of a grappler as she waited for the bell. Once the bout had started, she would step in for a tied and true collar and elbow lockup to begin the struggled as old school as one could get.

Re: A High Flying Middleweight Clash! Asuka Wakahisa vs Lyanna Eon!
Lya wouldn't wait too long for her opponent to appear on the entrance ramp, as an incredibly high-energy song began playing through out the arena, and her brightly coloured opponent would appear...
...to quite a brightly coloured entrance.
As Strider Star entered, the crowd reaction for her was through the roof. Causing her to tilt her head in confusion. Was this really the girl she read about? Her losses must've been really close calls, since crowd's reaction for Asuka eclipsed hers tenfold.
Behind Asuka, a little bit of light show started as she dramatically ran from one part of the stage to another, hyping up her fans for the match to come...and doing so quite successfully, with the crowd loudly chanting her nickname, some even attempting to do so in beat with the music (the red-clad wrestler herself ending up bouncing her head at the positive song's beat).
Upon hyping even herself up with her entrance, Strider Star would make her way down the entrance ramp to the ringside to an even bigger explosion of lights and stars behind her, before giving as many high-fives to the fans in front row as she could (noticing even that the guy who was hesitant earlier quite eagerly high-fived her soon to be opponent). Once she was done, Asuka nodded at Lya, and the Red Dragon herself ended up sending a similar nod at her opponent.
With one more dramatic pose as she entered the ring (Lya hoping that the girl didn't tire herself out before the match had even begun), her opponent turned to face her, wearing a massive smile on her face. She had to admit, this WAS an amazing entrance. Certainly better than anything she had ever had, even as a champion...
Addressing her, Strider Star certainly sounded like a Super Sentai or Kamen Rider-esque heroine, which caused the red-clad woman to smile, since the tokusatsu genre had really grown on her ever since she moved to Japan.
"No need to worry about secret villainy here, kid. I have been swayed off the pass of righteousness before, but now my moral compass points to the light side, clear as day...", she would reply to Asuka, playing along with her superhero gimmick:
"Anything less would be a failure in my eye, Ms Wakahisa", she replied once more, smiling at the girl, incredibly excited to face the brightly coloured heroine herself! With a respectful bow, she turned to her corner, awaiting the sound of the bell!
Once it did, Lya was fully and completely in battle mode, jumping into a stance, as she quickly circled the ring with Asuka, both women making their way towards the middle of the ring...
And once they did, Lya's arms intertwined around Strider Star's, her left hand going to her shoulder, and her right to her elbow respectively. She wouldn't stay in that position for too long, however. Almost immediately, she would duck under her opponent's right arm, attempting to transition into a wristlock less than a second after engaging in the tie up!

Re: A High Flying Middleweight Clash! Asuka Wakahisa vs Lyanna Eon!
Strider ★ Star couldn't hide the giant smile on her face, she loved it when people played along with her. She did however correct Lyanna at the mention of her real name. "You must have me confused with someone else who may look remarkably like me, I am Strider ★ Star!"
She threw her arms wide, jumping up to bring her legs out side to strike another heroic pose, her mark plain as day for the other woman to see... For a moment at least. Not wishing to be disrespectful herself, she stood upright again, hands clasped before her as she returned a deep bow to her competitor, slowly backing away.
She shook out her arms and legs, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she awaited the bell. She couldn't place why, but of all the matches she had thus far, she found herself most excited for this one. Normally she preferred to play into the heroine against the villain, but the Lyanna had a more subtle natural charisma than she did, which found her liking the stranger already. She nodded to herself, it was time to show anyone what they could do.
As the bell sounded she brought up her hands, circling opposite her adversary. Every few steps she took a little hop, coming more ground than her normal footing allowed for. She spiraled inward, closing in on the woman slowly. At just about the same range, both women lunged in like clashing bulls, locking one another into a tie up, Strider ★ Star's seemed to favor a collar hold over a shoulder, but both women displayed near identical form, a practiced easy which made the short embrace look powerful.
As Lyanna broke away, far sooner than she expected, it caught her off guard. The pinch and twist of her wrist being manipulated caused her to wince, losing her train of thought for the faintest moment as the initial torque of her limb.
Her head bobbed as she ducked herself down under her own arm, twisting her body as if the two had been in a dance. When she had come around in one rotation she had freed herself from the twisting hold's pressure, slipping in on Lyanna to attempt to hook an arm around her neck to wrench her forward into a side headlock. "It seems you're quick! But so am I!"

Re: A High Flying Middleweight Clash! Asuka Wakahisa vs Lyanna Eon!
Chuckling, Lya would correct her mistake: "Of course. My apologies, Strider Star", since she wasn't a stranger to a super hero-esque nickname herself. Bouncing up and down like Asuka, she awaited the bell, at a chance to start her battle against the heroine...
Upon the ring, the two Middleweights would circle the center of the ring before finally clashing, in a collar and elbow tie up, Lya choosing not to stay in the position for too long to immediately transition to a wristlock, painfully turning on Star's right arm!
"Hope you are ready for a fast-paced bat...!", before she could even finish her sentence, her foe would already duck underneath her own arm to relieve the pressure from the hold, stopping Lya's effort to possible transition into a more painful Hammerlock dead in it's tracks!
"Tch...ow!", worse yet, as Asuka let the fact that she was more than able to fight at a fast pace known, she would quickly snap a side headlock on to the redhaired woman's head!
"Not...bad, kid!", not deterred by her opponent's similar speed, Lyanna tried pushing her foe's arm, just far enough to slip her head out of the hold.
Then, if successful, she would quickly sidestep behind Asuka, with her arms trying to snake around her torso for a waistlock, planning to take the Heroine down to the mat with a Waistlock Takedown!

Re: A High Flying Middleweight Clash! Asuka Wakahisa vs Lyanna Eon!
"Ah haaaa!" Strider ★ Star clamped her arm around Lya's head, finally getting the better of their brief exchange, or so she thought. Before she could cinch the hold in, or even give the woman a torque, it all came crashing down. She looked a stumbled step forward and Lya shoved herself free.
She attempted to whirl back around, but found the woman's arms wrap around her. Her eyes widened as she realized she was about to be in grave trouble. She kicked a leg back, hooking her ankle around one of Lya's calves to ground the initial attempt to get to to the ground by keeping them locked together. Her hands clamped down at Lya's wrists, struggling to pry them apart, arms straining.
If she managed to break herself free, she's take a step forward before pivoting on the ball of her foot to spin herself back around. Her arm shot out to her side as she twisted, whirling around in a wide arcing lariat at where she assumed Lya would be.

Re: A High Flying Middleweight Clash! Asuka Wakahisa vs Lyanna Eon!
"Ghhhhhhk...", the lift up failed, Asuka reacting in time, as she managed to snake her leg around Lya's, keeping herself grounded to the ground, as she successfully broke the hold at her waist, before attempting to turn around to face Red Dragon...
...and right in the nick of time, the redhead would see her opponent's arm at her side, quickly ducking as it cut through the air, missing Lya's head by a hair!
Almost immidiately, Lya would stand straight, rotating on her left foot, as she aimed her right foot at her opponent's head for a roundhouse kick!

Strider ★ Star let out a shout as she reared her arm back, bringing it around in a powerful swing. Too powerful perhaps, as when it whizzed the momentum carried her forward and around, stumbling into the step that had been used to brace herself. She had made a complete rotation, the spin disorienting her as she came around. She still caught sight of something, eyes widening as Lya's leg was soaring right at her.
She almost screamed, almost. She threw herself back, intending to simply limbo herself under the blow but her poor footing found her dropping down to the floor. While she knew that wasn't what she had wanted to do, and Lya likely could have picked up on it, the crowd thought it do be another defensive maneuver. They seemed to be eating it up.
Strider ★ Star couldn't hold back her excitement, but the stress was getting to her. While she was able to turn each move around, Lya seemed to be one step ahead of her each time, handling things far more coolly than she was. She was more invested right now on who would land the first real move instead of who would win.
Her knees tucked to her check as her falling momentum carried her onto her shoulders. Her arms snapped back, bridging up and over her head to halt her tumble. Rather than let gravity take her flat against the mat, she thrust her legs out, pushing off against the canvas to throw her legs up at Lya in a kangaroo kick.

No longer a part of this community, especially after seeing how staff handles things. I surrender all character designs I had been using, so anyone else can make use of them for their own characters. Apologies for anyone left with an open thread with me. A helpful reminder of how things are suppose to be.

Re: A High Flying Middleweight Clash! Asuka Wakahisa vs Lyanna Eon!
As Lya's leg cut through the air, she felt it failed to connect, as it quickly cut through the air, her attack once again missing her rival.
With her leg's momentum too big to stop it, the Red Dragon was forced to complete the revolution of her roundhouse kick, fully pivoting 360 degrees on her leg before facing Strider Star...and seeing that her counter didn't quite work the way her rival intended.
With her attack coming out fairly quickly, Asuka seemingly tried to bridge on instinct, only to fail and drop on her back completely. The heroine ended up making the first mistake in the match, feeling the Redheaded woman with sense of accomplishment, especially with her next move likely being the first attack to connect in the match:
"Heh...need help down there-----GAAAAAAH!"
Lya would quickly and painfully realize that her foe wouldn't actually need any help getting up...and that she would be the one who had made the first true error in the match.
Underestimating her opponent for a split second came at a price, as when Lya approached her rival, she would spring out right at her, nailing her feet into the Red Dragon's gut for a Kangaroo Kick!
The force fo the attack forced the Red Woman to stumble towards the ropes, holding the top rope with her left hand, while cradling her hurt stomach with her right!
"D-damnit...lucky shot...", she would say outloud towards the heroine, conceding that she lost this "round" of their fight...
