Drifter could feel the aches and ails of the match slowly catching up with her. Her body was hurting and complaining with each and every movement. Cheryl had really taken the fight to her, and Kay had not doubt she would be feeling a lot worse later on when the adrenalin of the competition would fade away. With that in mind, Drifter lay on the mat, and knew she could not linger, knowing Cheryl was down and laying besides her after being hit with one of Drifter's finishing moves. With a grunt, Drifter turned her body, pulling herself towards Cheryl, before she managed to throw her arm over her chest!
This was all the referee needed, as she slid down upon her knees besides the pair, realising that Kay had initiated a pinfall attempt against the cheerleader! The moment the black and white shirted woman was down besides them was when she started the count, slapping her hand down hard as the crowd all raised to their feet in anticipation.. wondering if Kay had actually done enough against her worthy opponent.
1!!
Drifter knew she was in trouble if this wasn't enough. She clutched her hand against Cheryl's shoulder, breathing deeply, knowing if she flicked out at this point she was in trouble. For certain she could fight on... that was what Drifter did... but she knew her edge would be lost, and a lot of bite would be missing from her strikes this point out. She threw everything into the stomach punch... and knew she was already running on fumes when she managed to hit the Wayfarer against the cheerleader.
2!!!!
This was the moment of truth....

Re: Fighting the Good Fight [Cheryl Williams Vs Drifter]
Cheryl was not one to be so easily knocked around but the worst of it all was doing its toll on her. She had been battered to hell by the body shots and what came next was just an exclamation point on an already emphatic beatdown. Cheryl had no rebuttal or way of moving out of the way of what had come next, and when it hit she was essentially too battered to even register what it had even hit her. The pinfall went unnoticed as well with Cheryl completely out of it before her body had reached the floor.
The count had reached 2 with no signs of life, the Cheerleader completely still and motionless aside from being moved by Kay in any distance. She looked peaceful in her current state but her mind was anything but a her battered dreams were replaying the match in her head as if trying to tell her what she did wrong and how she could have avoided her current mess. None of it mattered, what did matter was that she did make those mistakes and she didnt avoid the current mess and was now paying for it with another loss.
"THREE!"

Re: Fighting the Good Fight [Cheryl Williams Vs Drifter]
Winner: The Drifter
Via: Wayfarer into Pinfall
Drifter gasped out, hearing the ring of the bell once the final count had been made by the ref. She slipped from Cheryl, remaining on her knees as the crowd began to cheer loudly! No doubt a part of it was for Drifter and her well earned victory, but also for Cheryl as well with both competitors giving one hell of a performance and match. Once on her feet, the referee held up Kay's arm to signal the victor, increasing the volume of the crowd as they cheered on the young up and comer. Drifter managed a smile, waving in thanks and feeling a great sense of relief that it was over. As predicted her body began to complain at her, making her wince as each amount of movement caused pain somewhere in her body.
All said, she remained on her feet once she got herself standing, throwing a few celebration gestures towards the crowd. It seemed she was really beginning to make a name for herself, not expecting such a reaction. Once a moment passed, Drifter turned her attention to Cheryl, looking to help her up with an offered hand.
"Hey... that was a good match! You're a lot tougher than you look! I think I had a little luck on my side this time around... I'd be happy to go at it again in the future if you're up for it." Kay spoke, being as modest as always. She wore a beautiful smile, looking to try and help Cheryl up and motion the crowd to cheer for her as well after such a long fought, scrappy but most entertaining match up.
