"I'm... I'm not gifted..." Kay whispered meekly, keeping her guard up. "I'm just... a survivor." Kay added. The poor girl was her own worst enemy it seemed. Kay did not see what Tia was seeing, she had never thought of herself as anything but someone who was doing what she did just to get by. The money she made as a wrestler mostly went on keeping the old orphanage she came from open and alive... what little she had left she used to live off. Wrestling... It was a job to Kay... a means to an end. She was a good fighter, it was the one thing she could do well.. but she did not think anything more of herself... The thought of rising above her own station had not even occurred to her.

Tia looked deeper than that however... For all her weak minded posturing, Tia could clearly see the evidence of a fire in Kay. She fought too hard when her back was against the wall, and she fought with passion. Kay was raw... but the foundations were already there to build upon. Kay was cunning, and certainly had an unnatural fortitude for a lightweight.

Even now she made the first move... eager to attack despite her own words suggesting she would have gone on the defensive. She came in with a big strike, but Tia's experience and expertise soon came into play. Tia's fist came out of seemingly nowhere... a simply movement... a shift in position. Kay thought Tia was going to eat all of her strike, and to a small extent, Tia certainly got hit, but mitigated the severity of the blow, and came swinging back with a strike of her own.

Uuugh!" Drifter grunted as The Breaker struck her good. Kay got the worse of the exchange, and Tia quickly looked to shift back. Kay was rocked by the strong strike, but whether it was sheer stubbornness, dumb luck or a twisted combination of the two.... Kay was able to press on none the less, staggering into Tia before managing to spear her down into the centre of the ring! Last time Kay was right upon Tia, able to land a flurry of punches, but it was clear this time she was hurt by the strike, landing on top of Tia as she simply tried to pin her down... shaking the cobwebs of that hard strike that left her with a bloodied lip.

Tia swore she put a lot of power behind that punch she threw, anybody would have either been KOed, or worse but not this opponent who was able to tank it like it was nothing. Somehow even taking the punches and forcing her way through till she was able to spear her back onto the canvas, pinning her down again.

"Not bad..." Tia tells her seeing that she not throwing punches or even defending herself right now, so she goes for a grapple to go for the finish. Reaching her hands up trying to grab Kay by the back of her head again, going to try and lock in the Anaconda Choke again placing her arms around the girl neck and head.

Sweat dripping down her face as she plans to roll herself and Kay onto their sides, once she does she could fully lock the hold in and it be over with. Nobody has been able to break free or counter said move.

Tia's strike had certainly left an impact on Drifter... and though she was not knocked out, she was rocked, and found herself taking too long to shake the cobwebs after being nearly knocked out. It allowed for Tia to begin locking in the Anaconda Choke... something that was certain to end the match the moment it was fully locked in. Kay gasped out, feeling her arms wrap around her neck and head, before Tia began to reposition the two of them.

Kay was glistening with sweat herself by now, her exposed skin having quite an alluring sheen from the long struggle. She gasped out, finding it hard to breathe, and noticing Tia was about to seal the deal by wrapping those legs around her once more. There would be no escape...

It was sheer desperation that spurred Kay to begin struggling, but she wondered if it was too late. She wasted a lot of energy... something she was fast running out of as she scrambled and struggled... At this point, Kay knew she could not get out of the hold, Tia had it locked on for the most part... not fully... but enough to start pressing the air from Kay's lungs with little room to breathe.

She moaned out, attempting to throw herself to try and escape! Incidentally, her movements would cause her to roll with Tia... she was unable to get away from her, but she ended up on top of her, becoming somewhat tangles as their legs became trapped together... Kay could no longer breathe, gasping out... but she was on top of Tia, pinning her against the mat, prompting the referee to slide over and begin her count!

Tia was close to victory... Her choke hold was locked in sapping away air and all the remaining strength her opponent had left in her. Sooner or later it will be over and her opponent would either tap out, or pass out from the lack of air which is something Tia really didn't want to have happen since she had choked out opponents before.

But before she is able to wrap her leg's around Kay body she is stopped, the young woman was able is able to counter her by rolling over and getting her shoulders pinned to the canvas as she struggles to move or even kick out but she is trapped and unable to do anything at the moment.

The ref sliding into and starts to count.

ONNNEEEEEE!!!!!

THREEEEE!!!!

The bell rang out suddenly! Kay was uncertain what had happened during the confusion, she had been locked in the Anaconda Choke, unable to breathe or properly respond to anything. She was barely conscious, feeling the hold being released before she began coughing out loud and breathing in deeply for some much needed air. She went onto her hands and knees, believing that she had lost... unaware of where she had ended up during the tangle, she thought it was Tia who had been pinning her whilst she had her dangerous submission hold upon her.

Slowly she staggered up to her feet, still coughing, trying to regain her bearings over what had happened, before the referee grasped at her arm and raised it. The crowd cheered loudly as Drifter looked a little bewildered, the fans stamping their feet not just for Drifter, but for Tia as well for a great match between the two. Kay was still a little confused however, and slowly she turned to Tia, grasping at her own chest from the breathlessness. Slowly she realised what must have happened during the tangle.

"I think I lucked out..." Kay whispered, as she offered a hand to Tia to help her up. Lucked out was an understatement to say the least as she knew she got really lucky.
"That was a good fight... thank you. Did... did you really mean what you said?... About me having a chance at something here in the LAW?" Kay asked curiously, knowing very well Tia was a extremely well respected veteran.

THREEEE

Hearing the bell ringing in the background Snaps Tia out of it. She was focused on locking in the submission hold that was able to fully lock it in during the bell being rung. Breaking the hold and rolling onto her rear looking up confused at what the ref decided to call, more annoyed that what she had planned was ruined thinking the ref rung it to early.

Seeing the ref raise Kay arm in victory makes Tia feel some kind of way. As she slams her fist into the mat in anger at the lost, but in anger that her opponent victory would b considered a fluke win at best. "Damn it.." She says out loud for everyone to hear her as she doesn't take her opponent hand but gets to her feet.

"a Victory is a victory no matter how it happened... She says in her lecture like tone of voice. Nodding her head before telling the girl the honest truth. "I did mean what I said about you... You have talent in spades but you will not go far with your skillset and mind set. Come join me and you will be something you could never dream of being... A Champion..." holding her hand out to her.. "Consider this your first lesson from me."

Kay could understand Tia's frustration, and she felt bad about the nature of the victory. Her neck and head were still aching with pains were Tia had managed to get her Anaconda Choke upon her. By all right, the victory should have been Tia's given Drifter had nowhere to go and was locked up tightly. It was only due to some confusion and great fortune that it was Kay's arm that was lifted instead of Tia's. Rubbing the back of her neck with a wince of discomfort, Tia was quick to look past her defeat, instead bringing her attention to Kay once more.

It seemed her resolve was no different than when the match began, and she could see something in Kay even if the rookie could not herself. She made Kay feel a little better about herself, telling her not to feel bad about gaining victory the way she had, before soon stating she meant everything that she had said during the match between the two of them. Despite the stipulation she had set, the Breaker still was keen to shape Drifter into something more than she was...

Kay had thought of herself as nothing more than a survivor, doing what she could to make what money she could for the Orphanage. She had never spared a thought for herself or what she could shape herself into here at the LAW. Looking upon Tia's outstretched hand, and listening to her inspirational words... Kay dared to listen.
"Alright..." Kay whispered, looking Tia in the eyes. "I'll join you." Kay added more firmly, before she took Tia's hand with her own in a strong grasp. The crowd watching did not know what the two were conversing about, being too far to hear, but seeing Tia and Kay shake hands in the middle of the ring was enough to make them cheer loudly with delight!

It wasn't the dream finish, but none could deny it was not an exciting fight between both a rookie and veteran...
