Re: Harada Hana Vs 'Drifter' - Stay out of Reach

The sudden gasp from a unified crowd said more than words could about the impact of the sudden strike. Hana was rocked, and it was a testament to the toughness of the powerful wrestler that she was still on her feet. The crowd were soon roaring with pleasure afterwards, seeing how much the match could swing back and forth. It was quite the pendulum of a confrontation. Hana's own blows had been monstrous, beating down on Drifter's smaller form to put the hurt on the Lightweight... but in a surprising turn, it seemed Drifter's own strikes lived up to her reputation, as one good strike was able to bring the smaller girl back into the fight.

There was no clear favourite for the crowd... they were happy with the match and both wrestlers! Given the pounding Hana had inflicted with her devastating body blow and clothesline, Drifter was unable to promptly capitalise, simply glad for the reprieve as she staggered and stumbled up onto her bare feet. Striking was no doubt Drifter's strong suit, but to do so meant she had to get close... a double sided blade as it was as she knew she had to come into fire to unload her own strikes. A little unsteady on her legs, it became clear she was rocked herself, and thus there was a brief pause as the two wrestlers simply sized each other up... secretly using the prized moment to get their bearings.

Kay gave Hana a little nod... a little acknowledgment to a fellow competitor. It was a match to be certain, but Hana seemed to fall into the definition of 'good people'. There was no need for cheap tactics as far as Drifter was concerned, and so she let the fellow rookie know she was about to start the confrontation again. There was no title on the line, no grave stipulations, just an exhibition match between two wrestlers new to the business. Kay wanted to keep things in good spirits, entertain the crowd and make sure the two of them gave it a good go no matter the outcome.

It might have been a mistake to allow Hana the recovery, but in Drifter's state it could have went terribly wrong to simply dash at the scantily clad bodybuilder of a woman. It wouldn't be all that hard to toss her aside with a misstep. Focus was needed, and soon enough Drifter had her hands up in a guarded position, almost boxer like. She began to advance, testing Hana's reach as she made a few uncommitted jabs towards her body... a tactic that had worked previously. To mix things up however, she looked to use her speed and deftness to keep Hana on her toes, side stepping and throwing a few stiff jabs towards her ribs.

To follow up she then rushed at the ropes behind her, using the momentum to spring her forwards. She expected Hana to be ready for her, but the intent was to try and duck those powerful arms and try and end up behind the powerhouse.... if successful, it was then her intent to stop herself and leap upwards, looking to flip her body to the side and send a powerful kick towards the back of Hana's head and shoulder! It seemed like a solid plan!
