Wildcard Tag Event Special

For those of you on the discord server, you will have likely seen the idea of a wildcard tag event floating around for a while. For those of you who have missed it, below is a summary of everything regarding it.


What is it?

The appropriately named Wildcard Tag Event will be a series of tag matches, with each and every team involved being as unlikely as ever in their forming. We're talking serious rivals, champions and main contenders, heels and faces, violent sadists and sweethearts, all paired up. There is just as much an emphasis on chaos between teams as there is in the teams themselves.


When Is It?

July 9th. Winner mentioned the idea of firing it off alongside the mid-year PPV. Given said PPV is featured on the beach, it makes sense to have something going on in the arena as well.


Who can feature?

Given this is an unofficial event, the three-match-completed rule does not apply for the character being involved. That being said, I'm going to be a little particular as to who is involved. These are tag matches, and anyone who has completed one will know how long they take and how chaotic they can be. Especially with both teams in each match controlled by two users (meaning each thread is a four rp-er thread.) Kayfabe-wise, you can't put in a character that is at the summer PPV either.


How does this event make sense kayfabe?

CEO Daniel DeFranco in a devilishly heelish move has opted to spice up the tag division by forcing together women who simply do not 'gel'. Those 'selected' (the wrestlers involved in this event) do not have the option of refusing Daniel's demand - be it under penalty of a pay cut, suspension, or removal from any title contenderships. Please bare this in mind when rp-ing, as it wouldn't make sense kayfabe wise to have characters involved simply up and bail. Not unless they wanted to face repercussions.


So What Now?

Naturally I am looking for participants! I am aiming for eight characters, so four teams, and two matches. That may seem a little minimal, but again, these are tag matches with four users involved. There is the possibility of turning the event into a mini-tournament, so naturally the winning teams from both matches would face one another, but this is to be discussed.
