Ka-Sha Chu

Unread post by Pegasus »

Name: Ka-Sha Chu (original name is Nobu Mikoto)

Age: 24

Height: 5’7

Weight: 186 lbs.

Hometown: Daejeon, South Korea

Background:

Nobu had humble beginnings as a child born into a wealthy business-oriented family with his father owning a chain of restaurants throughout Daejeon and his mother owning a flashy clothing line that sold like crazy in their country. When Nobu was old enough to get a part-time job, he worked at one of his father’s restaurants as a waiter and entertainer. He had a noble talent of juggling knives and quick precision hitting on certain targets which dazzled the people that watched him perform. Not to mention, Nobu could play piano and sing particularly well on certain musical nights where he worked. Looking for more profit to keep the family stable, his father paid for classes in order for Nobu to up his game and he hired the best dance teachers, choreographers, and fashion designers in order to bring an upgrade to the image of Nobu. He also dyed his hair purple and took on a career of leading a K-Pop boy group named POP ZONE, but he shortly left the band after only selling two records and the group disbanding over certain disagreements.

Suffice to say, Nobu loved the attention and fame his newfound solo career was giving him and he developed a bit of an ego backstage demanding near perfection from his workers. Nobu even had his workers sign NDAs so they couldn’t speak out against him as whistleblowers until they either didn’t resign their contracts or certain exceptions were to happen. This led to many hair stylists, fashion designers, and vocal coaches to quit on the spot since they said he was practically holding their jobs as blackmail for not bowing to his demands and ruining his public image. Honestly, this didn’t perturb Nobu one bit as they only had their words and he made sure that multiple documents were locked away to never leak to the press. Only two people were at Nobu’s side all the time: his personal assistant, Kaka, and his personal translator, Hamon. Kaka took up extra jobs as Nobu promised to pay her well and Hamon would take over for Nobu in press conferences to curb any negative attention he could receive.

Over time, Nobu’s fame would fade as more groups came in and signed with even bigger labels showing him that a numbers game would shelve his career in just a year or two. He was still young and he was already going out like a birthday candle. The press started covering this news and wondered about the whereabouts of the pop star that once stood at the top with the greats. When he turned 23, Nobu humbled his ego and stuck close with Kaka and Hamon sticking by his side and trying to bring a better image to his falling popularity. Nobu soon found professional wrestling and watched old Japanese tapes as well as American promotions that adopted many flashy gimmicks and costumes all in the name of sports entertainment. This is what he needed seeing as wrestling had a huge international fan base allowing him to raise his profile further.

He took up his stage name Ka-Sha Chu as his ring name and began wrestling in South Korea and Japan. Nobu’s stock rose much more when he adopted many famous poses he did when he was singing on the stage. Even more handily, his translator acted as his manager and talked for him during interviews and promos in the ring. Nobu even went on an excursion to Europe and America although very briefly. LAW scouts had many singers and musicians that worked for them so they offered Nobu a contract to sponsor and wrestle for them, but Nobu only wanted to use his celebrity status for the promotion. However, he was actually in secret phone calls with a sinister force wanting to bring back the darker side that he tried to push away all this time….

Extra Trivia:

-Growing up and spending most of his life and career in South Korea, Nobu doesn’t speak much English. His translator does and he usually lets him do the talking, but he’s trying to learn from English dictionaries and learn Spanish from Rosetta Stone for his potential matches in Mexico.
-His favorite foods are fried squid and graham crackers.
-Nobu has a high-flyer/showman style when it comes to his appearances in the ring, but he does not like it when the crowds don’t get behind him. He becomes much more vicious and brutal sinking back to his darker half occasionally.
-Nobu has recently become a fan of horror movies and feeds into the genre for his promotional material on social media.
