LAW Apex Match: Lyra Heartfield vs. Peggy McIntyre

Lyra felt each elbow hit her head roughly as she had to let go of Peggy and deal with an incoming headache. This took her eyes off of Peggy leaving the Irish lass plenty of time for a counter. Lyra shook her head and blinked rapidly trying to restore her vision before seeing Peggy come close! Peggy hit Lyra right across the throat with a devastating discus clothesline taking both women down on the mat! Lyra just laid there coughing violently before trying to blindly throw an elbow into Peggy’s head to get her away from the fortune teller.

Peggy took Lyra down, but Lyra was still swinging! Peggy took the elbow to the head and moved away, stumbling up to her feet. She tried to stomp down on Lyra before yanking her back up by the hair to her feet again! "All right lass time so slam your blonde little backside again!" Peggy said as she grabbed hold of Lyra, attempting to lift her up into the air and send her crashing down to the mat with a scoop slam.

Lyra grimaced as she was stomped down on as Peggy looked for some revenge. She yanked Lyra up by her hair as the referee made a passing comment to Peggy to watch the hair. Peggy didn’t seem to mind it as she lifted Lyra up high again and slammed her down for a crushing scoop slam! This wasn’t looking good for the fortune teller as she grabbed her back. If she didn’t turn this around, it was gonna be curtains for her pretty soon!

Peggy sent Lyra crashing to the canvas and she flexed a bicep before kissing it. "Seems like she doesn't like some good old fashioned crashin' down to the mat huh!? Lets keep going!" Peggy shouted as she smiled. She hauled Lyra up by the hair yet again and punched her in the abdomen before stepping forward to grab her around the shoulder and between the legs. It was clear Peggy wanted to scoop her up and slam her right back down again.....

However, Lyra knew that getting bullied around by Peggy was not going to fly when this was her chance to prove she belonged here. All her training under Jonathan and her time on the indies would all not be forgotten in this moment. She took the blow to the abdomen which set up Peggy to lift her high again, but Lyra would desperately try to elbow Peggy's face in order to get down. If Lyra was successful, Lyra would jump down behind Peggy and set up a following move. Lyra tried jumping on Peggy's back going for a Backstabber! She knew Peggy was still suffering with her back so she had to capitalize on that fact!

Peggy felt some elbows hit her and she also knew Lyra was sliding down her back. However Peggys head was yanked back and she fell with Lyra's knees crushing her back! "ARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!" Peggy howled as she flopped down to the mat, flopping and kicking in pain as she was clearly down in agony after having her slam countered! Peggy was in trouble and she knew it. She couldn't let this little blonde girl beat her though... she couldn't let herself be an embarrassment in Apex.

Lyra saw Peggy spazzing out on the mat as she breathed in and out trying to gain some air back. She had been dominated halfway through this match so she needed to make this open time count. Lyra grabs Peggy up by her red hair and tries for a Snap DDT straight into the canvas! She then would sit Peggy right up in the corner if possible and back up into the other corner. Lyra pointed to the crowd who cheered her on as she ran going for her signature, The Crystal Ball (Cannonball Dive) on Peggy!

Peggy was hauled up to her feet and groaned as she tried to push Lyra away but instead Peggy Jade her head spiked off the mat with a DDT! She flopped tonthencanvas and weakly kicked in pain before cradling her head innher arms.

Peggy was putty as she was propped up on the corner, defenseless as she was crushed by Lyra's Crystal Ball! Peggy moaned and flopped down onto her side lifelessly.

Lyra dragged Peggy by her feet to the middle of the ring and crossed her legs with one of her own before staring at the crowd with a smirk. Time to put away this formidable foe. Lyra turned Peggy around and sat on her back locking in another Orion Lock! The referee dropped down and asked Peggy if this was enough for her checking her arms to see if she would go out. Peggy had her quirks and was stronger than Lyra making her the easy favorite to win, but the fans had faith that Lyra could pull out a much-deserved win. Lyra wrenched hard on the legs and screamed trying to get Peggy to either tap or nap.

Peggy howled in agony as she was stuck in the lock and her whole body seemed to jolt in pain! She thrashed and flopped whatever free limbs she had around doing her best at this angle to try to power her way out! She was struggling and refusing to submit, she couldn't let all her Apex losses lead to yet another loss in the biggest match of her career against some brand new blonde bimbo. Peggy howled and kept thrashing, struggling and fighting to get out of the hold.
