Grace was nearly off her feet again after the knee took her by complete surprise. Being the bigger opponent hardly meant anything when you were taking hits you had no time to prepare for, something Charlotte was trying to keep up by grabbing her and preventing her from getting any space away from her while she tried to recover from the knee to her gut and proceeded to follow that up by going up and bringing her body above Grace's head, forcing her down when she fell with a sitout facebuster that aimed to bring her all the down and crashing into the mat once again.

"Gaaggh!" Grace groaned hitting the mat face first. The worst part was how Charlotte dropping herself with it using that momentum to force Grace's face down. Her head bounced with the rest of her and Grace remained down. Her hands went to her face, slightly red after slapping the mat so hard she had whiplash and leaving her down for the moment.

It is extremely important for any fighter to be able not only to use muscles, but also to work properly with their head. Charlotte had no doubt that if she relaxed for even one second, Grace would make her pay for it. They both managed to get to the Apex match, which in itself was a very impressive result. And the fact that one of them would become a contender for the openweight title showed how serious everything was.

Therefore, the Sand Lizard tried to concentrate on not letting her opponent pick up the pace. And as long as she had the opportunity to attack, she was going to keep doing it. She couldn't let herself fall into a disadvantageous position like that, turning to her front and getting up to follow Charlotte as she started to climb. Grace would move with a bit of desperation and jump up to grab Charlotte's shorts to try and pull at her, stopping her from getting too high up and allowing her the chance to fight back. She would stay on the ground for now and try to pull Charlotte off the cage rather than chase her up it.

Damn, Grace's persistence was enviable. Since she joined LAW, Charlotte has managed to meet many outstanding women, but not every one of them was as aspiring and strong as Grace. By this she managed to catch Charlotte off guard.

Grace would wordlessly grab Charlotte so she could pull her up and lift her up high enough that she would be able to drop her on the top rope before pushing her so that her head would hit the cage wall again, keeping her hands there to keep Charlotte from falling off. Once she was steady enough Grace would leave her and go to the corner stepping up on and reaching the top, it wasn't to escape but to get a better angle on Charlotte. Once she was higher than Charlotte she would jump up and grab her head, pulling her down so she could force her to the mat headfirst with a rope assisted facebuster.

Charlotte's attempt to get the victory by escaping from the cage failed miserably. The young woman tried to cope with the consequences of her mistake, but the collision of her head with the wall of the cage caused too much dizziness. She tried to take slow breaths to get extra oxygen. However, Grace had no desire to wait for Charlotte to recover.

Grabbing the Frenchwoman, Grace first forced her to get up, and then once again pushed Charlotte's head against the wall of the cage. Involuntarily uttering a painful groan, the pink-haired woman mechanically clung to the metal mesh.

With the force behind her punch she expected to surprise and stun the redhead and make her stop right there, where Grace would grab her and pull her close, so she could bring her back into the cage with an STO to make her hit it with the back of her head instead of the front.

The situation was deplorable. Yes, Charlotte was conscious, but there was a real whirlpool in her head. The Frenchwoman tried to force herself to take slow breaths to get rid of the pain and dizziness. But it was clearly not enough to stop Grace, who apparently found the right pace for her.

The American woman grabbed the Sand Lizard by the waist and quickly lifted her to her feet.
