Personality
Rosa is loud, confident and in your face about it. She tends to be the person in every group she’s in that laughs the loudest, parties the hardest, and if you think you can keep up, well, that sounds like a challenge. Though truly she cares less about the challenge itself than about winning. She strives to excel at everything she does cause if you ask her, if you are not shooting for the top, what’s even the point.
In most cases, it comes off as a bit rough but ultimately well-intentioned. She absolutely will rub it in that she got one over you, but will turn it into a friendly jab that’s hard to be mad at, but with the ego she has, a collision with someone with a head as big as hers tends to turn explosive.
In the ring she is coocky and bragedocious, she made a habit of calling out the way she’s going to finish the match to her opponent’s face right before the bell and outside of a few loses she took has not failed to deliver on her promise, which understandably left some hard feelings but as far as Rosa thinks, if someone has a skin this thin, they should have stayed out of the ring in the first place.
Wrestling Information
Strategy: Rosa’s original sport was boxing, and she took the ideals of the Mexican style to the rest of combat, focusing on power and volume, aiming for every move to make a lasting impact while not letting her opponent catch breath before the next one.
She can be truly terrifying when she gets going, leaving very little room for her opponent to escape or counter as she moves between hard blows, throws and chokes, but she has one particular weakness. She always sets her sights on a particular finish she announces when the fight starts and will not settle for a different ending, which can make her predictable, but by the time she goes for it, her opponent is likely in no state to stop her.

Past
Rosa’s mother was not a woman who saw herself as ever having children, mostly because if she were to have them, she’d want to be the best mother she could be, and that meant sacrifices that she increasingly could not imagine as her career took off. Training, boxing matches, rest, there was hardly enough time in a day for it all as it was, not even counting how much the pregnancy itself would set her back, but then she met the right man, and in the middle of her championship reign, it happened. Somehow, dropping the title to build a family did not feel as sad or disappointing as she expected it to b,e and soon, her daughter was born.
Rosa, for her part, was a spitting image of her mother both in looks and temperament. Her mom took a few years to take care of her entirely before she made her comeback to boxing, and thus, by the time she did, Rosa was old enough to understand what was happening and started to emulate her mom. What her parents thought was a passing fancy persisted, however and soon, to not let her make mistakes become a habit, her mom started to actively coaching her and bring her along for training, and after a while, signed her up for regular practice.
Having insights from one of the most prolific boxers of our times was paying off for Rosa as she was hardly ever challenged during sparing or competition, which inflated her ego to an unhealthy degree. Her braging going a bit to far with one of her coleegs when she laughed off their training in other martial arts, saying she’d not need them if she was any good at just boxing, which led to a quick bet, anything goes, knockout or submission and it did not last long with the other girl quickly knocking Rosa on her ass before making her tap.
A humbling expiriance that it was, it did not deter her, if anything it led to a realization, if she simply kept to boxing, she would be held back by her name, her mother being the great boxer that she is, she would be compered to her and should she be as good as she was, hell even if she was somehow better, it would ultimately be the least she could be with such a legacy behind her but branching out offered her other avenues.
She lowered the amount of hours spent boxing, instead putting them to finding other sports that suited her and really sinking her teeth into them. She did not have as big an advantage outside of her first chosen field, which tempered her ego further, if just slightly, and every failure fueled her to push harder. If she was doing it, she was going to put in all her all ane be the best.
The first mark of success on her new path ended up unintentionally poetic. It was her first professional MMA match, and she was facing the same woman who sparked this obsession in her. She called it, round two, ground and pound and after an absolute war of round one, delivered on her promise, now setting her sights on future conquests.
