Fighting Style – Light and quick on her feet, Yumi likes hit and run tactics that allow her to strike truly and then be gone before her rival could retaliate because she knows that if she got hit her resistance would be quickly drained, so the best course of action to take is to strike and retreat. She also likes flying moves that allow her to add some punch to her moves. When she hits she knows she has to add all her weight to the impact because if not the move would turn up pretty weak, which makes her go for a high risk high reward kind of wrestling.

Personality:

Yumi is a silent type of person. This doesn’t only mean that her words are sparce and when she talks she does it in a low tone, almost a whisper, and with no intonation at all, it also means that she is silent with her acts, with how she moves. She always tries to blend into the crowd, don’t stand out. This isn’t because she feels inadequate or anything like that, she just enjoys the calm of not standing out. She is curious about people but she has some trouble expressing her emotions or feelings so most people misjudge her as aloof, distant or cold. However, she’s very diligent with her work and when people give her a chance she can get pretty warm and open in her own way. She seeks for comfort with others and this doesn’t mean she has to find someone exactly like her, but someone that makes her feel free to express herself her own way. Someone capable of allowing her that space would find an irreplacable friend or even more.

History:

When making a quick research of Ichinose Yumi the first thing one would learn would be about the scandal. She wouldn’t call it that, in fact she wouldn’t call it anything, but the media decided it helped get clicks and sell magazines so they labeled it like that. Ichinose Yumi was once one of Japan’s top gymnasts, excelling from a very young age when she aced it in high school regionals, then nationals. When she was done with her studies she kept competing and it looked like she had a promising future ahead of her. However, there was some concerns about her personality that hindered her. Being pretty silent some media outlets deemed her as a proficient gymnast but as having difficult marketability. Her coaches, instead of deal with those media fires stoked them and soon enough Yumi was earning an undeserved reputation for being “difficult to work with” and “aloof”, which wasn’t true because she was pretty diligent and a good listener. Soon enough it was clear that it was her vs the world and her coaches set her up for the final blow. They hired an investigator to get some dirt on her and he discovered she was also a NSFW artist in her free time under a pseudonim. It wasn’t that big of a thing, but it was enough to make a scandal out of it if the media and her coaches wanted and it ruined her options for a career.

This hit Rui pretty hard at first, falling to depression and ending up distanced to everyone that cared about her, but she would get better with time. Now that she wasn’t under pressure and scrutiny she could develop into whoever she wanted to be. First she took some commissions as an artist to be able to pay for some training and started focusing in her next step. Turns out she had learnt about a wrestling federation called LAW and the two sides of it interested her a lot, so she started training. It wasn’t that hard for her given her background in sports and soon enough she was a decent fighter, decent enough to perform pretty well at LAW tryouts and earn a spot in the roster.
