She wasn’t particularly strong, fast, or aggressive compared to her peers, but she quickly learned the value of strategy and patience. Wrestling helped her find a way to express herself in ways she hadn't before, offering her a chance to build confidence in her own body and mind. However, she was still far from being the star of the club. Mai was more of a tactical learner, preferring to observe and analyze her opponents rather than relying on raw strength.
Despite not being a natural athlete, Mai’s training gradually improved, and she started taking part in smaller, local amateur wrestling matches to gain more experience. Her perseverance and calm demeanor in the ring earned her some respect, though she was still not considered a standout. But it was during one of these local matches that an agent from LAW, a prominent professional wrestling league, saw potential in her. The agent admired her composure, her ability to keep calm under pressure, and her willingness to learn, which could be molded into something special.
At the age of 17, Mai made the bold decision to join LAW. She had just turned 18 and was still attending school, but the lure of the wrestling world was too strong to resist. So once she graduates, she convinces herself to move from home so that she would make being a wrestler her actual career on one of the greatest wrestling promotions. She starts off her journey in hopes that she can become the best and stand above all others, both veterans and rookies.
