Fianna Walsh

Unread post by FiannaLAW »

Name: Fianna Walsh
Age: 24
Hair: Red
Eyes: Hazel
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 111 lbs

Entrance music:
TRIDDANA - The Ground of the Fallen
Alignment: Face
Nationality: Irish-American
Fighting Style: Grappler / Submission Specialist
Stats and other Aspects
Endurance: 6/10 - Can endure a great amount of pain, her flexibility and submission training has improved this aspect, but she is still a lightweight, prone to going down to sufficiently brutal strikes. Has had a previous knee injury.
Strength: 5/10 - As a lightweight, this isn't her strong suit, though she is athletic enough to perform quick throws and slams against opponents near her size or somewhat bigger, on occasion.
Speed: 7/10 - Very quick on her feet. Though she does not often take to the top rope, she has exceptional balance and sometimes busts out the occasional springboard attack.
Defense: 6/10 - Much better at mat wrestling and countering submission maneuvers than defending against strikes or throws, she is great in this regard inside her comfort zone, but average outside.
Technique: 9/10 - A mat technician through-and-through, Fianna excels in this area, knowing dozens of ways to turn any hold into a joint lock, and an escape artist when it comes to escaping them.

Strikes: 7/10
Submissions: 10/10
Powerhouse: 5/10
Aerial: 7/10
Counters: 8/10
Personality:
A perfectionist, Fianna trains diligently almost every day. She has an upbeat and positive attitude, and gets along well with just about anyone, though her single-minded commitment to her craft has largely kept her from developing particularly close relationships with anyone aside from immediate family.

When she isn't training, she's studying her potential opponents, trying to learn whatever she can about them to gain any advantage she can. In her earliest days in the ring, she faced many male opponents, fighting in underground independent promotions, familiarizing her with opponents physically stronger than her, forcing her to fine tune her technical skills.

History:
Fianna, of Irish descent, grew up abroad in the United States. It was there that she came to love professional wrestling; her hobby eventually became her dream, training tirelessly in her late teens and enrolling in a wrestling academy in Florida. Unfortunately, her dream would be put on hold after she sustained a knee injury shortly after her twentieth birthday. During her rehabilitation, she grew fond of video games and anime, particularly those containing magical girls, knights, and the like. After her rehabilitation, she and her younger sister would work to get her back into ring shape. Taking inspiration from the dramatic speeches and over-the-top showmanship of the heroes in her favorite media, she developed her current persona, a Celtic warrior maiden.

For the next three years, Fianna proved herself quite capable, running the various indie circuits and occasionally teaming with her sister in either a tag team or managerial capacity. Of the two, Fianna seemed to catch the attention of the internet wrestling community most prominently, and it would not be long before she signed with LAW, hoping to prove herself on a larger stage!

-=OOC Information=-
Hi! I'm new here, though I've posted in other similar places before. I prefer singles matches with emphasis on grappling, submission, and back-and-forth competition. I am not interested in total squash matches, I'd rather have somewhat real matches that would mirror 3-star or better contests in the real world.

Things I absolutely DO NOT enjoy:

-Excessive vulgarity: Some degree of lewdness probably comes with the territory, given the subject matter. Unless specifically called for, lets try to keep matches and interactions on the high end of the PG-13 sepctrum, at the most.

-Excessive violence: Similarly, a degree of violence is implicit to what we're here to do, a competitive combat sporting match. Strikes, slams, etc obviously are to be expected, as well as a degree of injury, maybe a small amount of blood sweat and bruises, but I'm not down for any kind of guro or torturous stuff that they'd never allow on TV.

-Excessive dialogue mid-match: Keep exchanges of words short and realistic while the action is focused on wrestling. I'm down for taunting or acting during submission / restholds and the like, but I've seen too many matches where people think an entire speech in the middle of fast-paced action makes any sort of sense. It really takes me out of the scene.
