Personality
Rebecca is a woman rife with contradictions. On the one hand, Rebecca can be aptly described as a "wild murder gremlin"—chaos flows through her veins, leading to extreme and unpredictable behavior at times. Her foul mouth and confrontational tendencies often incite trouble, and it is not uncommon for Rebecca to find herself in verbal—or even sometimes physical—altercations with strangers. Although Rebecca is nominally trilingual, make no mistake: she is actually quadrilingual, with violence being her fourth language.
Unsurprisingly, Rebecca's head can run as hot as a blowtorch, given the right impetus. Her temper burns like a pilot light, innocuous most of the time yet ready to flash the instant its flames meet the right fuel. Strangers and enemies are the most liable to be burned by Rebecca, but even those who are close to her are not immune to her flames.
However, despite her transient conflagrations, a sense of cheerful freedom permeates Rebecca's reality. Most of the time, Rebecca defaults to a positive, carefree demeanor. Her ability to live in the present decouples her from the shackles of the past, and it frees her from the anxieties of the future. She takes life in stride, seldom agonizing over pasts and possibilities. Moreover, whereas others may weigh themselves down donning masks woven from pretenses, Rebecca puts up no such front. She is unapologetically herself, wearing her heart on her sleeve and speaking exactly what is on her mind.
Her actions are similarly unrestrained, with Rebecca opting to follow her impulses rather than curtail them. With little regard for consequences, she rides the winds of her capricious compulsions. And, amidst this wind, the notion of danger is little more than a small whisper in her ear, drowned out by the ambient roar of her whims. The combination of her own impulsivity and disregard for her own safety form a ringing, resonant amalgam, one whose tone inspires her to run the edge
This is a pun on how Rebecca's faceclaim is from the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
: her actions frequently skirt the line between free-spiritedness and self-destructiveness, with risky physical stunts, fights, and alcohol being mainstays of her life.
Most people only see a limited view of Rebecca, with her wild, violent, hedonistic side tending towards the front and center. Yet, just as none of the blind men saw the elephant in its entirety, those people mistake the facet for the whole. Those whom she cares about, however, can get close enough to Rebecca to see other sides of her.
Although they are few, Rebecca treasures the strong bonds that she has. The phrase "ride or die" is branded onto her heart, with the scar tissue's tendrils penetrating deeply into her
The words "branded" and "scar tissue" were chosen to imply that Rebecca's "ride or die" attitude was born out of pain and hurt.
. She cares deeply for the select few who reside close to her heart, and seeing those individuals in pain evokes in her an instinctual desire to balm whatever wounds they are suffering. Even though Rebecca realizes that it is ultimately not her responsibility to solve others' problems or to protect them from their own self-destructive behavior, with people whom she is close to, she often follows her heart and attempts to help.
Yet, beneath Rebecca's selective loyalty and caring tendencies lies a dark undercurrent. Deeper connections with others were often hard to come by for Rebecca growing up, and a lifetime of tumultuous relationships has rendered Rebecca outwardly wary and inwardly terrified of losing the few bonds she does manage to forge. She can take loyalty to the extreme, choosing the path of "ride or die" even when it is not pragmatic to do so or the other person is beyond hope. So long as there is a bond, the morality of the other person matters little to Rebecca. While Rebecca is no apologist for wretchedness, she does not ascribe to the idea of abandoning those whom she is close to.
However, as quixotically loyal as Rebecca can be, and despite her everyday demeanor suggesting a mind permeated by chaos, Rebecca has some sense. When she cares about someone, she can show a surprising amount of tact and sensitivity. In those instances, she is rarely judgmental, and instead veers towards concern and understanding.
Ultimately, Rebecca is a conglomerate of reckless violence and loyal compassion—disparate elements melded together into an alloy that differs from its individual parts. She flares like a fiery cyclone, burning brightly and projecting an aura of unordered, destructive chaos. Yet, in the middle of the raging conflagration lies a calm eye that few see—her hidden kindness, one that was born of a tempest.

Combat Information
Rebecca's fighting style can be described as violent and unhinged. Her attacks and movements are wild and unrestrained, with seemingly little regard for her own safety. She exploits the mobility that her small stature provides, utilizing aggressive, encroaching footwork and taking fierce angles. Moreover, despite her size, Rebecca quite literally punches above her weight class, with her strikes having objectively respectable power—and, unfortunately for her opponents, Rebecca is no stranger to throwing punches in bunches.
Using a guard is optional for Rebecca, with her sometimes opting to avoid strikes purely with mobility and simply eating whatever shots get through. At other times, Rebecca will even eschew footwork and head movement, opting to put all of her energy into attacking. While such a strategy is often foolhardy, her granite chin and fierce tenacity are usually able to keep her in the fight.
Although Rebecca's tendencies seemingly align with that of an unskilled brawler, she has a strong technical basis to her fighting. Her background in mixed martial arts imparts a level of soundness to even her sloppiest of strikes, and has given her solid fighting instincts. Rebecca is no slouch on the ground either, although due to her small stature, she typically prefers to work her way back to her feet rather than play the ground game.
Moreover, dirty tactics are not off the table for Rebecca. Her aptitude for violence precludes her from idiotically relying on such tactics as an integral part of her gameplan, but her underlying skills enable her to occasionally augment her fighting with said tactics. Opportune eye pokes and oblique kicks, along with other underhanded tactics, sporadically manifest themselves in her cacophony of violence.
Giving Rebecca a weapon only makes her even more of a menace. While her weapons of choice—firearms—are implicitly prohibited from professional wrestling rings, she is more than comfortable with other weapons. Implements such as baseball bats, brass knuckles, knives, and improvised weaponry from one's surroundings are far from unfamiliar to Rebecca. And, even worse for her opponents, Rebecca's violent and reckless nature makes her all the more willing to escalate matters with weaponry.

History
Note
This provisional backstory only gives a cursory, surface-level overview. Many details are left out. The backstory in the completed profile will be more detailed, and the connections between Rebecca's past and her stated personality (given earlier in the profile) will be more clear.
Rebecca was the product of an affair amidst an already poisoned marriage. Her biological mother was nowhere to be found, and it ultimately fell on her father to raise Rebecca. Unfortunately, the nature of Rebecca's birth in conjunction with her father's iniquitous actions divided the household. On one side of the line was Rebecca and her father, and on the other side was Rebecca's older half-sister Sasha and Rebecca's adoptive mother.
During her earlier childhood, Rebecca did not have any close relationships other than the one she had with her father. Her father—who was a marine, pararescueman, and MMA fighter at points prior—introduced Rebecca to both firearms and mixed martial arts from a young age. Rebecca took to these activities well, and became skilled in both. And, over the years, Rebecca developed a close relationship with her father.
Eventually, during Rebecca's pre-teen years, her older sister Sasha bridged the gap between herself and Rebecca. The two became close, and even adopted some of each other's interests: Rebecca picked up Sasha's interest in computers, and Sasha picked up Rebecca's interest in MMA.
Once Rebecca reached high school, she found a friend group. They were not the sort of friends that she would confide in, but she nonetheless found acceptance from them. The unruly nature of each of the members resulted in a resonant interplay, polarizing the group towards chaotic and delinquent behavior. Violence, vandalism, drinking, and loitering became common activities for them, but somehow, they escaped getting into serious trouble with the law.
When Rebecca was sixteen and Sasha was seventeen, the tenuous equilibrium of their dysfunctional family was destroyed in a metaphorical conflagration. A particularly bad instance of drunken, ignominious pugilism from their father led Sasha to seek justice. Rebecca, just as she had done growing up, distanced herself from the matter, refusing to incriminate her father or aid Sasha in her endeavor. Yet, not wanting to damage her relationship with Sasha further, Rebecca did not impede Sasha's efforts or try to lie on her father's behalf
While it is not directly stated here, the implication here is that Rebecca would not inherently be above lying to shield those whom she is close to from trouble. In this particular circumstance, however, Rebecca chose to avoid taking sides as she was close to both her father and Sasha.
. All of this strained Sasha and Rebecca's relationship, but in the end, the two of them remained fairly close, albeit with some lingering tension.
However, Sasha's relationship with her mother was a different story. While it had initially been close, years of disagreement surrounding Sasha's father had created cracks in the relationship, with Sasha's mother's refusal to formally speak out against her husband being the penultimate straw foisted onto the camel's back. But, despite her mother's objections, Sasha went through with her actions.
Ultimately, despite the strength of Sasha's evidence, the lack of cooperation from her immediate family members mildly stymied the prosecution's case. In the end, Sasha and Rebecca's father negotiated a plea deal, netting him a lenient sentence of two years in prison.
But the universe has no particular reverence for justice, nor does it have an impulse to dole out happy endings when said justice is ostensibly dealt. In the case of the Yakovleva household, deliverance from one nightmare only introduced them to a different nightmare. With the loss of Rebecca and Sasha's father's income, the household fell into poverty, with Sasha's mother's income being insufficient to comfortably raise two children.
Sasha's mother blamed Sasha for the supposed downturn in fortune; Sasha, however, was adamant that she had done the right thing. Neither of them backed down, and their relationship quickly turned bitter—it was enough to make Sasha want to put an entire ocean between herself and her parents. Thus, Sasha eventually left her home to study computer science at Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan.
Rebecca, on the other hand, had no overwhelming desire to pursue higher education. Instead, after graduating high school, she got a job as a barista at a local Buckstars Coffee joint. However, she still lived at home as her income was not enough to afford her own place.
Unfortunately, after working for a while, Rebecca managed to get herself into trouble. Faced with an egregiously rude customer, Rebecca retaliated by throwing hot coffee on said customers face, followed by a stream of profanity drawing from three different languages. This incident resulted in Rebecca being fired and saddled her with a shiny new misdemeanor.
With her employment prospects being fairly fucked, Rebecca found herself in desperate need of a new profession. Service and retail jobs would be harder to come by, as those jobs generally prefer people who do not have a history of violence towards customers. Rebecca figured that with her solid background in MMA, she could try to become an MMA fighter—the idea of training and occasionally getting to batter people for money appealed to her. But the pay was often shit—not that Rebecca minded that much, but she still had to pay her adoptive mother rent.
A number of months passed by, with Rebecca's job search remaining fruitless. However, on a drunken whim, Rebecca decided to apply for an overseas professional wrestling promotion she had heard of named LAW. As most drunken decisions are, it was not well thought out. However, in Rebecca's case, the decision was not without precedent. She had been marginally aware of LAW beforehand, being aware that its gamut of matches ran from lewd to brutal—neither extreme was objectionable to Rebecca, but the latter extreme piqued her interest. Rumors of decent pay for entry-level wrestlers and lax recruitment standards further enticed Rebecca. And, ancillary to those aforementioned considerations, relocating to Tokyo because of LAW would put her in closer proximity to her sister Sasha.
Shortly after drunkenly applying to become a LAW wrestler, Rebecca got a phone call from a LAW recruiter. At first, Rebecca was thoroughly confused—she did not initially recall applying to LAW. But, between her vague, fleeting recollection and knowledge of the monstrous bender she had gone on shortly prior, everything quickly clicked into place.
Others might have called this a twist of fate, a gift from the universe that Rebecca ought to take. However, Rebecca was not one to believe that the universe had sentience and actively enforced some notion of 'fate'. Instead, she was the sort of person to pursue opportunities as they came, without agonizing over consequences or the future. The kind of woman who went with the flow, and accepted situations as they came.
Within a matter of weeks, Rebecca found herself in Japan with her own apartment and a newly minted LAW wrestler contract. The process was unusually easy, with LAW handling most of the bureaucratic mess for Rebecca, as well as funding her travel and living arrangements. And, in a twist that Rebecca ascribed to coincidence rather than some nebulous notion of 'fate', Rebecca's apartment ended up being a few doors down from her half-sister Sasha's apartment.

Quick Facts
  • Rebecca was born in and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Rebecca is trilingual, being fluent in English, Japanese, and Russian.
    • Rebecca was raised in a "One Parent, One Language" household, with her father speaking to her in Russian and her adoptive mother speaking to her in Japanese.
    • Despite growing up in America, Rebecca's closeness with her late father allowed her to become fluent in Russian.
    • Rebecca has picked up a lot of Russian profanity, courtesy of her father using it rather liberally in general conversation.
    • Rebecca was able to become fluent in Japanese because of the combination of her mother and Japanese anime and manga.
    • Rebecca tends to speak Japanese in a very rude manner.
      • For example, Rebecca has very few qualms about using rude forms of address such as 'teme' (てめぇ).
      • While inherent rudeness would not be out-of-character for Rebecca, the fact that her mother semi-commonly used rude Japanese language with her when she was younger was what started this tendency.
  • Rebecca is quite intelligent, but her wild, impulsive, and carefree nature often masks this fact.
  • Rebecca is a weapons nut.
    • Rebecca did not bring her guns or knives with her to Japan as she knew she would not have been able to get away with doing so since they would be illegal in Japan.
    • Rebecca's favorite handguns are the Desert Eagle and Smith & Wesson Model 500, both of which pack power that is incommensurate with her smaller frame.
    • Rebecca favors the Ka-Bar fixed blade knife, which incidentally, is the type of knife that her father used in the Marines.
  • Rebecca has some skills in lockpicking, but she is not that good at it. She is more likely to force her way in than spend time trying to finesse a lock.
  • Rebecca's liquor of choice is cheap vodka, due to its alcohol content and relatively cheap price.
  • Rebecca chooses to use her mother's maiden surname Saitō (斉藤) instead of her true surname Yakovleva (Яковлева) to better fit into Japan.
