Wrestling Information
Strategy
Zero isn’t all that big, she isn’t strong, she’s not even particularly muscular or in exemplary physical shape. While she’s not a poor specimen by any means, there’s nothing on paper that would make her all that threatening of a wrestler. If you saw her and knew she was a wrestler without any context, you would think she was either a jobber or someone doomed to have a mediocre career in the lightweight class.

Despite that, Zero’s managed to take down foes who far outweigh and overpower her, all thanks to her terrifying lack of compunction. She is completely, utterly, and totally without mercy. If she’s told to do something, she will do it, without hesitation. If she sees a weakness, she will pick it. If there’s an opening, she will exploit it. She excels at breaking her opponents down in clinical fashion, and her matches can end abruptly simply because her opponent gave her an opportunity and she made use of it in the most brutal way possible. Add in her unreal tolerance for pain and her unsettling, blank stare, and she’s a foe that few Wrestle Angels wanted to fight, even if they knew they could beat her.

Signature Moves:
Zero Point
Image
With an opponent on their back, Zero leaps up and drives both of her heels into their chest.
Zero Hour
ImageWith an opponent on their knees, Zero moves in, lifts her leg up and grabs her ankles, and drops her leg on the back of their neck for a quick, powerful kick.
Silent Night
ImageWith an opponen caught from behind in a double chickenwing, Zero arches her back and slams them hard onto their upper back with a good amount of force. Her best move for putting down smaller opponents.
Finishing Moves
Negative Space
Image
With an opponent on their knees in the middle of the ring, Zero runs forward, leaps up as she cycles her legs, and his them with a knee in the face.
Spinning Silent Knuckle
Image
An improved version of her original finisher, which was just a backfist. She spins around and hits them in the face at high speed with a backfist.
Zero to Sixty
Image
With her opponent rising in the middle of the ring, Zero rises up on the apron, pulls back on the rope, then hops up on the top rope, bounces off, spins through the air and hits them in the back of their head with a spinning heel kick.
Personal Information
Personality
Talking about Zero’s personality is a bit difficult because she doesn’t really have one.

It’s not that she’s tough. It’s not that she had a cold personality. It’s not that she’s stoic or stalwart or that she has some implacable, iron face that she carries at all time. She’s just kind of…blank. She doesn’t react to things with joy or hate, coming at life with a neutral perspective that’s extremely off-putting. When she speaks, she uses the absolute bare minimum of words necessary to get her point across. It’s like she’s shut down from the world, like she’s a shell of a human being, a robot that only exists to be told what to do.

While this is a negative in terms of emotional growth, it makes Zero an incredibly focused and skilled person - she can learn how to do just about anything in record time, and as long as she’s pointed in the right direction, she can be a relentless, unflappable foe who will continue to attack so long as she’s physically able.

The only exception to her chilling demeanor, so far, is her relationship with Maria. When talking with her, she warms up, and has something approaching affection. Some even swear they’ve seen the two holding real conversations, though this evidence is purely anecdotal.
History
Mio Takemiya was on track to live a normal, uneventful life, growing up in a sleepy suburb in Japan. She was a normal, happy child with normal, happy parents, and by all accounts, she was on her way to have a normal, happy childhood.

This all changed when she turned eight years old, and her parents died in a horrible car crash on the highway. As terrible as this was, she had a safety net that many children in her position wouldn’t have enjoyed - namely, her mother’s family was the powerful Kotobuki conglomerate, and she was sent to live in a life of luxury with her uncle. She was adopted, and her cousin, Senka, changed to her sister. But even this wasn’t as ideal as it first seemed. Senka harbored resentment towards Mio, because her mother died in the same car crash that killed her parents, and she never let the young Mio forge this fact. Over time, she focused more and more on placating Senka, trying to make up for her perceived faults, and effectively turned into her sister’s unfeeling servant, even going as far as to take the name ‘Zero’ to signify the way.

This went on for years, until one day Senka got into a spat with another heiress, Beauty Ichigaya. This spurred her into getting into wrestling as a form of revenge, and she demanded that Zero train up to assist her, which Zero did without a second thought. Senka would use her money to force her way into Wrestle Angels, and the two would form a tag team - though, really, it was 95% of Zero doing the work, while Senka came in and took the pins.

This would go on for years with mixed results, until Wrestle Angels folded and the wrestlers went their separate ways. Senka still believed there was money to be made in wrestling, so she brought Zero to another company, where they ran afoul of Maria Crawford, another former Wrestle Angel who’d wound up there and was a co-owner of the company. The two wound up coming to blows, and eventually Maria made a deal with Senka - she would give Senka her share of the company if she lost in a handicap match, but if she won, Senka would have to leave and transfer control of Zero to Maria. Senka, seeing an opportunity to take a big step into the business of professional wrestling, accepted.

It was a rough, brutal match, but in the end, Maria was able to take advantage of Zero’s lack of enthusiasm and Senka’s lack of skill, beating them both. She took control of Zero, who didn’t seem to care one way or another. At first, everyone thought Maria would just use Zero as an unfeeling lackey - and she did. But Maria was far more concerned about Zero’s wellbeing than her sister. She treated her as a tool, yes, but a tool she cared about greatly and went out of her way to maintain, and the unfeeling fighter began to warm to this treatment, becoming far more protective of her than she ever had of Senka, showing something approaching true loyalty.

Eventually, their promotion went the way of the dodo, and while Maria had other ventures she could fall back on, a conversation with SA-KI convinced her that there was a future in LAWin LAW, the biggest ticket in Japan. Though she was skeptical at first, the chance to get back into the ring and cause some trouble suited her, and she agreed, heading into LAW and bringing a neutral Zero along for the ride.

=Fun Facts=

+Maria loves to play chess, and taught Zero how to play. As it turns out, Zero is good at it - very, very good. Her complete focus makes her a hard opponent to beat, and Maria has never managed to get the better of her despite playing for much longer.
+In an effort to teach Zero empathy, Maria gave her a goldfish to take care of. Zero keeps her pet in fine condition, and has named her Jojo. She wanted to name her Maria, but that idea was nixed for being a little too creepy.
+Had her name legally changed to Zero. Maria’s floated the idea of changing it back, but she’s refused, seeing it as her true identity.
