Wrestling Style: Being one of the former top girls of Wrestle Angels, Toshimi Minami is as skilled a wrestler as they come. A long standing career in the ring since the age of 16, she has picked up many different techniques and adapted and altered her style to the state it is now. Often credited as one of the most versatile and technical wrestlers in Japan. She is the master of submission holds and ground wrestling, while there are many who might be more powerful and many who might be faster or hit harder, or able to pull off amazing slams. There is none that can outshine the Venus of Submission on the mat. But even so Minami isn’t solely limited to technical wrestling. She is as versatile as she is cerebral, pairing her brutal submissions with various suplexes, aerial maneuvers and strikes. Nothing to the level of other wrestlers, but enough to keep her offense varied and unpredictable.
However her great grappling abilities are the star of the show for Minami and she is all about making her opponents tap. Primarily her holds focus on the limbs and neck, especially the arms as set up for her finisher. Her cool-headed attitude and style keeps her calculating and cold towards her opponent and picking apart their weaknesses. This is part of why she has gotten a bit more of heel like status, as she has it as a personal rule to not count a match as a win unless it is by submission. Even if it is an unofficial submission, she will make sure it happens...otherwise the match won't be a win for her.
Preferred Attacks: Nearly any and all submission holds, but generally speaking any joint locks, scissor holds, headlocks, and any other limb targeting submissions that can be easily be transitioned into more complex and painful holds. Outside of this she uses the basic strong style chops and kicks, occasional headbuts, a few different suplex variations, and some aerial moves. Namely the frog splash and some springboard moves.
Preferred Matches: Standard, Submission, Multi Fall, Iron Woman, I quit, cage matches, hardcore and last woman standing.
Attitude to Hentai: She will consider it based on tbe opponent. But will more than likely scoff unless her interest is piqued.
Signature Moves:
Wolf’s Fang: With an opponent dazed or unsuspecting Minami will turn and leap onto the middle ropes. Pushing off them she will launch herself backwards and spin in the air while lifting her leg up before swinging it down to try and land a spinning spring board axe kick to her opponent’s head.
Spider Vice: Getting onto an opponent’s shoulders Minami will lock her legs around their head tightly for headscissors. Then if able she will use her weight to bring herself and her opponent near the ropes where Minami will throw her weight over jt to pull the opponent’s head down with her weight for a Hanging Headscissors!

Rapid Rend: Taking advantage of a downed opponent Minami will dive onto her hands, turnjng her body midair and coming down knee first on an opponent’s head. From there she will use the impact to grab the opponent’s arm and twist it back while forcing them into their side tk secure a Kimura Lock

Venus De Milo: Having an opponent down stomach first on the mat Minami will lay perpendicular across their back back and grab both of the target’s arms. Pulling them back all the way she will lock her fingers together in order to secure a double fujiwara armbar that she furthhr cranks by leaning all the way back and tensing her arms, making the hold as difficult to deal with as possible. Depending on the intensisty of the match Minami will also use her flexibility to add in vicious kicks to her opponent’s face and head.
Personality:
Toshimi Minami is in simple terms, a woman that prefers action over words. The strong and silent type she prefers to let her results do the talking for her and when she does talk she doesn’t mince her words. Preferring to get straight to point with little fluff or pandering.
Such a direct and at times cold attitude has given her a fairly negative reputation however. Many seeing her as a heel due to her lone wolf nature and vicious, cerebral in ring style that focuses on submissions and absolute victory no matter what. Not one to care about what others thing Minami has gone years with such whispers surronding her and has grown somewhat jaded towards fans as a result.
This can also extend to her peers within the wrestling community as well. Particularly to those who Minami feels don’t take the sport seriously or are so naive to think that the fan input means more than in ring ability. Likewise she has a high standard for what she considers skilled in the ring and can be a bit picky about who she befriends as a culmination of these views. This high standard and stand offish nature has les to a degree of alienation between Minami and most women in whatever given locker room she has in, something that Minami has no issue with given she believes in competition first and friendships second.
However that being said Minami is steadfastly loyal to those she does respect and befriend and she won’t tolerate disrespect to anyone in meeting her high standards. In addition while she may turn her nose down somewhat on the bright eyed idealism to some younger wrestlers, Minami has had recent changes in her heart towards them. Particularly Minami has, as she has grown older, felt a growing desire to become more involved in younger wrestlers lives as a means of preserving the aspects of the sport she loves in her own way.
Outsid eof the ring however Minami isn’t entirely different. Stand offish and cold her high standards continues to limit her social relationships but luckily between her training, hobbies, and… other responsibilities, she keeps herself occupied and in a good mind set. Among these Minami particularly enjoys motorcycles and driving them, as well as working on and modifying them in her spare time as a side gig.
Finally… there is her daughter. Yes. Daughter. Shortly after the collapse of WOLF Minami went on a bit of a… bender. Quite a few drinks and bad decisions later Minami found herself pregnant and within nine months giving birth to a baby girl she decided to name Manami. Naturally she had to take a few years off to raise her daughter, get back on her feet, as well as work out a system with her relatives to watch Manami while she wrestled.
Naturally it goes without saying Minami loves her daughter more than anything, even wrestling. So she will go to hell and back to make her now eight year old child as happy as possible. In addition to that it was raising Manami that helped sober and even soften some of Minami’s views. Particularly in regards to younger wrestlers, leading Minami to decide she wants to take on at least one student who she can pass her views and skills too. But Manami has also caused Minami’s resolve to strengthen, amplifying the Venus of Submission’s drive and desire to reach tbe top. Somethjng she carries on her shoulder as she marches ahead to her continuing career in LAW.
