Personality: Marne can be described as… difficult to work with for anyone she isn’t close too. Generally speaking she’s kind and courteous to anyone she meets, after all she isn’t rude by any means. However she has a habit of being hyper focused on tasks and objectives and can at times be intense when she wants to accomplish or do something. As a result she can intimidate others with the ‘resting bitch face’ she habitually has on.
Beyond that however Marne is a introverted girl and prefers to speak only when talked too. Finding it easier and more comfortable to either let her actions or her partner do the talking for her. Not due to her being shy or anything. Rather she just isn’t the best with words and has a habit of not mincing them and instead speaking her mind making her rather blunt which combined with her steadfast and serious nature can make her come off as harsh.
That being said however Marne is extremely loyal and devoted to her friends and family as well as being extremely prideful of both as well as herself. As such while she is normally one to let things go she will fight tooth and nail if the pride and name of herself or her best friend Hilda or her family is besmirched.
Wrestling Style: Marne like most light weights utilizes primarily high flying and speed based offense into her general ring style. However unlike most lightweights Marne does possess greater than average strength which she utilizes for more power and strike based attacks which she mixes with her highflying. In tag matches she will often play the role of set up using her superior strength to get an opponent ready for her partner to knock them down.

Marne grew up her entire life surrounded by pro wrestling. The youngest child in a wrestling dynasty Marne looked up her entire life to her father Hans and his brother, her uncle Lars who together formed a famous tag team that absolute captivated her whenever she watched them in the ring. Along with her older cousin Astrid Marne grew up looking up to both and desperately wishing to be like them someday. After all how could she not?
However her father wasn’t quite as sure about such a future for his child, not wanting her to be injured or left without a future in the worst case scenario. So whenever the young girl brought up the idea of being trained or brought up as his student we would usually find ways to switch the topic or use the famous “When you’re older” To end such discussions.
But even in spite of her father’s reluctance Marne was determined to learn all she could wherever and however she could. This included old video tapes of not only her father and uncle, but many other famous wrestlers and matches, doing everything she could to learn on her own.
But in time Marne would soon find herself joined by someone else. This someone was a friend she had made in primary school at the age of six named Hilda. Like herself Hilda was a major fan of pro wrestling and wanted to become one herself someday. Unlike her however Hilda didn’t come from a wrestling family, nor did her own have the money or confidence to send her to lessons.
So in time Marne plus Hilda would spend endless hours in the afternoon watching old matches on tapes and then trying to bug Marne’s father or even Lars into training them. Unfortunately both avenues led nowhere. As despite her best efforts, and even with Marne’s own cousin Astrid starting her path to being a wrestler neither of the men were budging on training the girls. Instead Marne was offered a deal similar to what her uncle had offered Astrid.
Specifically that her father would allow her access to the gym and ring they’re family used, but she would not be directly trained by him or Lars or even Astrid once she was at a level that could attempt. If Marne wanted to do this she would have to do it alone…
Except she wasn’t. No part of her father’s deal ever mentioned Hilda. So for the next few years Marne and Hilda began not just watching tapes but practicing what they saw in between intense physical training. Doing their best to learn the patterns and ways their bodies had to contort and move in order to replicate the moves as effectively and safely as possible. Not only did they learn moves and athleticism necessary but they also learned each other’s bodies better than anyone else…
NOT LIKE THAT.
Rather they learned the way that each other move, the speed they do so, and to a degree how the other thought leaving them incredibly in sync with one another. Combined with their friendship that only grew as the girls trained together and the only way they could be closer was if they were actual twins.
So naturally when the two were ready to debut as just nameless enhancement talent for a local show at the age of 17 for both they did so as a tag team. Over the years as they continued to grow in skill and prestige they developed their team further and further. Eventually adopting the theme and name Fabled Ravens due to their heritage… as well as both finding ravens cute and Marne being a bit of a history/mythology nut.
Of course despite their consolidation on their wrestling identities they still had much to learn. After all the two were still mostly self taught and vastly inexperienced. Luckily the two had one other loophole to exploit in the deal Hans had made with Marne. That being that while Astrid couldn’t directly train the two herself… she was able to put the two in connection with the ones that had trained her that she had made over her longer career than the two girls in the Europe Indie leagues.
However as the two progress even further the two ran into a issue by the time they were 20… Namely the surging popularity of another well known tag team located in Japan.. the Wings of Wrestling. While neither Marne or Hilda had ever heard of the two before others had and quickly associated the two younger girls with the older duo. Mostly due to their aesthetics being similar. After all bird themed. One white colored the other dark colored. Preference for high flying.
What else are wrestling fans supposed to think?
So quickly, very quickly Hilda and Marne found themselves embroiled in gossip, ribs and near constant questions or teases that the two had ripped off the Wings when they had never even heard of them before the comparisons were made!
Naturally this infuriated the two girls to the point they began lashing out and getting mad at anyone who made these comparisons in spite of the fact they were faces. The situation got so bad in fact that at one point Hilda and Marne actually blew up on each-other. Marne in particular felt as if they should change their team name and gimmick to avoid the comparisons, Hilda meanwhile refused adamantly and would have preferred defending their gimmick to the end!
The arguments became so frequent and intense that within weeks the two were at each other’s throats! For the next weeks Hilda and Marne beefed with each other in private, in matches during promos, virtually whenever until finally a match was made pitting the two against each other for the first time ever.
The match between them was long and brutal, the girl’s intensive knowledge of each other aiding and hurting one another to no ends. A war of counters what the match was called. Both Marne and Hilda seemingly knowing the others moves before the other made it and doing everything they could to win in spite of it. By the thirty minute make the bell had rung with the time limit expiring leading the two to collapse. On the plus side.. besides there not being a official winner and the match ending in a draw.. it had allowed Marne and Hilda to vent all their frustrations at their situation and each other. So the two after recovering were able to make up, hugging in the middle of the ring in near tears as they made a vow… to never split up.. and get revenge on the wings of wrestling for causing them to be type casted! Luckily the latter would be a easy step forward for both to continue towards. Their reputation and big match against each other had drawn the attention of a recruiter for a certain wrestling company. One that not only had the wings of wrestler in their roster but also Marne’s cousin Astrid as one of their champions! This certainly helped convince both girls to accept the offer made to them to move Japan and join LAW, both to further their careers and get revenge on their self declared nemesis!
