Those that Heal and Those that Hurt: Doctor Fabulous vs Korra the Enforcer - Apex Qualifer

Another Qualifier was right in front of her. First Cheryl the cheerleader, then Loretta the masked fighter, now Fabulous the doctor turned wrestler. So many opponents from so many corners of the world but all necessary to make it to Apex with Fabulous being the last of them between her and her match for the event. How funny was it that it was a healer? Korra had never healed anything in her entire life. Just like tonight her mind was focused on the pain she could cause, who she could hurt and who needed to be hurt. From childhood to the adult she was now nothing had changed, her mind was bent on the destruction of any who opposed her so if the doctor thought to make a difference she was in the wrong match. “The following contest is set for one fall and is scheduled to be an Apex Qualifier! Introducing first weighing in at 185 pounds, Korra the Enforcer!” Korra’s entrance had been brief, like all of her other ones she simply walked down to the ring to prepare. She had no boasting to do or people to show off for today. The only thing she needed was for the next nail to rise up and be hammered down.

Strobe lights began flashing on the stage as Dr. Feel Good by Rania begins playing and Doctor Fabulous steps out onto the stage with a pair of glasses on and a white doctor's jacket over her attire. She stands in the middle of a spotlight, crossing an arm over her chest as she regards the crowd, giving a wave to them as they cheer her. Starting to make her way down the ramp, she would blow some flirtatious kisses and winks to those cheering for her, letting the crowd take her personality in as she paused to confidently regard her opponent. With a grin, she got to the ring apron before walking to the one side and jogging the length of it to leap onto the apron, resting an arm on the ropes and leaning over in a seductive pose, smiling at the camera that had gotten close to her. Taking off her glasses, she bit down on the end of them before winking and rolling into the ring.

She took a look at Korra and then raised her eyebrows at her, giving her a challenging expression before walking past her and to the ring ropes, leaning over them and folding her arms atop them as she ran her tongue across her lips. Finally, she would step back and take off her jacket, passing it to the referee with her glasses and walked to her corner, hopping in place and doing a few last minute stretches, studying and watching her opponent as she began to analyze her, wanting to see what she could glean.

Whatever observations she could make would be if the threat Korra could pose to her. Korra looked at the loving doctor who caught everyone’s attention with her crowd pleasing while playing the part of an angel more than a doctor. She had heard some good things about the Fabulous one and the look she gave her when she entered was a look that told her she was hungry for action. Despite her nauseating entrance Korra knew a fighter had to be in there. Her stretching showed off more curves and muscles that the outfit couldn’t hide, something she thought might have been intentional. A subtle way for the doctor to tell Korra that she was not dealing with some softie without needing to say a single word. She had to admit, so far she preferred this start to matches. She wasn’t being fed one of a few lines about how great she was or how she was going to make Korra pay or teach her respect, some of that crap she could make a list out of how many times it had been said. It was all show and no tell with her. Korra didn’t want to discourage it. She raised an eyebrow at her while she slowly took a squat to stay in the corner while her arms would hold the ropes to let her leg and arm muscles show off without flexing. A casual show of her power without something as simple as flexing. The power she planned to use to bend Fabulous until she snapped.

Doctor Fabulous smiled, watching Korra before finally heading to the center of the ring as she continued to analyze her. It wasn't much, but it was always enough for Doc Fab to start her matches off with a little mental exercises. Grinning, she extended her hand to Korra, folding her other one behind her back, canting her head slightly. "Korra... I don't think there's much to say but may the better woman win," she said in a calm tone, winking at her.

It was a simple, unassuming handshake. No ulterior motive behind it, but she felt that she could trust Korra to at least have an amicable start to this match. And not too much later after that, the bell sounded and signaled the start of the match up proper.

“You’re right. We don’t need to say anything.” Korra understood that there was a time where talking was valid. She hated it. That time was better kept with people who wanted it like Robin or Noloty. Her? Just throw the meat her way so she could take a bite and get to the next meal. Much like you don’t get a doctor when you want to hurt someone you don’t pay an enforcer to be a wordsmith. She would take the doctors hands to shake it. No ulterior motives were in her mind here. She didn’t even pull on the arm for a cheap shot. A short curt shake to affirm that the best woman would win and that nothing else would be needed from them. Korra let her go and turned around to head back to her corner. Or that’s what she looked like she was doing. Once the bell rang Korra would turn right back around swinging her head and bringing it right at the good doctor. She aimed for the bridge of her nose with her forehead wanting to make that pretty face mangled with her first strike.

Shaking that hand back briefly, Doctor Fabulous smiled. "Glad to hear it. Looking forward to this match," stated Fab plainly and in a friendly manner. She would step back, squatting down slightly with her hands on her knees, ready to get to it. She just waited for the bell to ring, satisfied with a relatively amicable beginning to their match up and ready to grapple with Korra.

But when the bell rang, she was abruptly smashed in the face with a headbutt, sending Doctor Fabulous straight to the mat. Her upperhalf slowly raised as she looked dazed, shocked from the rather sudden blow. She couldn't even register the immense pain she was in from just one strike. The Doctor was seeing stars already in the early goings on the match, and at the very least, Korra had a strong start to their competition.

Her nose felt busted. She reached for it inspecting for blood, finding none but feeling pain when her fingers ran through it. In spite of this this Korra felt like laughing. Much like when she busted herself open bashing Nayla’s face with her own before she beat the girl so bad they had to take her out on a stretcher when the match finally ended Korra loved the pain that told her she just hurt someone. “Tougher then you look. Gooood haha. Now get ready. I’m not done making everything hurt.” Korra reached for the doctor’s head to pull her up and knee her in the face. Holding her head so she wouldn’t go down and allow Korra to reach under her arms. She would pull them up and hook her hands behind her back so she could force her up to her feet before she would deadlift her from her double under hook position to drive back into the mat.

Doctor Fabulous was rattled from that headbutt, certainly not expecting it so early. She felt like maybe she should have, but she could worry about that another time. She had learned now though and Korra's words had told her everything she needed to know about her character now. She was certainly out here for pain now, and that wasn't something that Doc Fab was about to let her run wild on.

Still, she allowed herself to be ripped up to her feet and kneed in the face again, going slack before Korra pulled her right back up. She then felt her arms being grabbed from behind, lulling her head until she was pulled up, letting out a cry of pain. This moment would be pivotal though as she grit her teeth and waited, and focused. And the moment she felt herself start to drift down, she wrapped her legs around Korra's waist and then rolled her up in a wheelbarrow roll up and held onto her opponent's legs, pinning her down to the mat. She wanted to escape the move and in tandem see if she could get a mighty quick win.

Nothing could have kept this fight fair and clean. The doctor had shown her respect and seemed to regard her as a threat but she was still knocked down like she meant nothing with Korra promising to hurt her more. She pulled the stunned doctor up to knock her out by lifting her up to drop into the mat on her back. Her moment of complete control was ruined when Fabulous resisted even with her brain feeling scrambled, forcing her legs up around Korra’s waist to pull her down. Fabulous would follow on that by grabbing her legs and follow through with her roll up to force Korra to go off her feet and bring her down to her back in a wheelbarrow! The sight of Korra’s might frame being forced down by Fabulous got the fans to react while Korra’s mine went from shocked to feral at the pin attempt nearly getting a two count before Korra forced her off.

Doctor Fabulous was holding onto the pinfall after rolling up her very clearly vicious opponent, holding on tight. The psychiatrist knew it was an unlikely chance to keep Korra down, so she already had her next move in mind.

Korra kicked out, and Doc Fab used that momentum of the kick out to roll back. Then, Fabulous sprung forward again, rolling and grabbing Korra's arm at the same time before pulling her over into a Seatbelt Pin, trying to get Korra on the mat again and on the ropes. For as aggressive Korra was, she knew she could be easily flustered and lulled into a mistake. She wanted Korra on edge early on, and feeling that stress of the match to know the Doctor wasn't a pushover.
