Athena Wonder had been in this business for many years now, and she had quite a resume, being a veteran in this industry. So, it was only natural for her to pursue the biggest title LAW had to offer, which was the LAW World Openweight Championship. Of course, she would need to compete in a series of qualifier matches first, preferably winning them to make herself look good in the race towards the gold.
Clad in her skintight red wrestling outfit, the blonde superheroine made her way out to the ramp as her music was played. The crowd cheered for the Eighth Wonder, and she flexed her arms, showing off her figure as she would then march down the ramp, heading over to the ring where she would be facing her opponent tonight, Wicke Sykes. Entering the ring, Athena would get the crowd cheering for her as she walked around in the ring before she settled at the corner, draping her arms over the ropes as she would wait for her opponent to arrive. She wanted to see what this Wicke Sykes was like, and from there, she could make her plan on how to defeat her in this match.
Many performers were hungry for LAW's greatest prize yet, so there were multiple steps Wicke had to embark for just the qualifying round alone. With the stakes at hand, Wicke had to be more ambitious than usual and adapt to any opposition like her life depended on it, assuming that who else stood in that ring had similar thoughts. The first impression was definitely the most important and the wrestling gods particularly wanted to test Wicke by facing a currently undefeated veteran in battle. Spoiler
A new track boomed through the speakers holding the crowd's momentum to an all-time high. Wearing her tight pink one-piece leotard, the researcher sauntered her ways towards the ramp. A few more cheers burst from the stands, now that they know that this would be another legacy battle. Smiling radiantly, she proceeded to strut down the aisle and hypnotise her fans through that obscured rear. While partaking in a usual routine, the end results will be anything but predictable. Upon climbing the apron, the smother expert revealed her goods for all to see. A lucky fan would catch her labcoat, a small price to pay for the title. Wicke Sykes
While she had a preferred manner of winning, it wouldn't be wise to forget that Wicke's entire body could like a truck on occasion. She temporarily stood at the opposite corner, inspecting her upcoming opponent. Somebody who outsized her from above the torso and possessed a hair of gold. Having fought just as imposing foes before, she wouldn't be immediately worried. Taking one large step forward, Wicke offered an open hand for the 8th Wonder to shake. Sportsmanship was still a large core of this promotion. "May the best woman win..." Hopefully her opponent wasn't too hyperfocused to refuse.
Crossing her arms, Athena watched as her opponent made her entrance, and she kept her eyes on her as she made her way into the ring. A fellow heavyweight, Athena was certain this match would be something to remember not only for the two of them, but also for the audience watching the show. Seeing that the other woman, Wicke, making her way to the center of the ring, Athena also left her corner, meeting the other woman right in the middle of the ring.
"Yes, may the best woman win." Athena nodded and accepted the handshake, shaking the other woman's hand firmly. After that, she stepped back, preparing herself for the match. Rolling her shoulders, showing off her impressive physique for all to see, Athena waited for the match to begin. The referee had already joined them in the ring, and after making sure that both ladies were ready for the match, she called for the bell, starting the match.
With the bell being sounded, Athena started off the match by shimmying to the side, keeping her distance from Wicke as she inspected her from head to toe. She curled and uncurled her fingers as she thought of a way of approaching her before she surged forth, looking to clash with the other woman in a grapple. She would have their hands locking with each other as their bodies would be pressing against one another. Planting her feet on the mat, Athena would try to gain leverage over the other woman in their grapple.
Affirming their sportsmanship through the handshake, the fans would have look elsewhere for a tense bloodfeud. Returning to her optimal stance, both ladies were given sufficient time to prepare for the impending bout.
Wicke had a similar strategy to the blonde where she swayed to the side in rhythmic fashion, trying to secure a safezone while eyeing Athena's body for any exploitable blindspots. Judging by a few finger gestures, Wicke expected her opponent to come forth with a grapple, however she would be taken back by the slight surge of agility.
Making their first contact, Wicke was able to prevent herself from being immediately steamrolled by anchoring those feet into the mat Thus the two wrestlers repeatedly pushed against one another in the centre, trying to gain an early advantage. . "Hrmmm..." However her opponent seemingly had a notable edge in upper body strength. A keen eye would notice the purplette slightly teeter around, vulnerable to the 8th Wonder taking lead if she may.
Locking up with Wicke, Athena could tell that her little surge seemed to have given her quite an upper hand over her opponent, and never to let an opportunity slip away, Athena would seize it as she would lead the way, pushing against Wicke and making use of her strength to show her dominance. After getting herself locked up with Wicke for a few seconds, Athena decided to shift gears as she would unlatch herself from her opponent before attempting to seize her opponent's head so that she could put her into a side headlock.
Bringing Wicke's head close to her chest, Athena would start wrenching her opponent's head in the side headlock. Pressing her opponent's cheek against the side of her bust, Athena would make sure that she could gain as much leverage as possible over her opponent in order to make it easier for herself to win this mater later down the line.
Unfortunately for Wicke, her opponent would aim to gain further leverage by continuing to shove the unsteady woman even further. Confined by Athena's restraints, the purplette's body could only remain in suspension as the strength contest abruptly ended. This sequence would be followed by a standard submission with slight sensual twist.
"Hmmmmmm~" Her barely visible cheeks already adopting a new colour thanks to the blonde's unimaginable power. As a result, Wicke was forced to hunker down due to the increasing strain. Yet she still was able to regain her bearings and attempt to retaliate in some manner. The purplette's arms reaching out to seize other woman's waist as Wicke tried to gain control and disorient Athena by shoving her across the mat.

Holding Wicke in the side headlock, Athena would try to wrench that head in order to weaken her. But it seemed that the side headlock wasn't enough to keep Wicke under control as the other woman managed to snag at her waist before she pushed Athena away, forcing her to let go of her head and was sent towards the ropes.
Still, Athena would try to use this to her advantage as she would reach the ropes and rebound from them. Then, she would run back towards Wicke, planning to use the momentum of her rebound to run into her, hoping to hit her with a shoulder block right into her chest!
Wicke had enough stamina to not only endure the side headlock but control their positioning as well. It took a simple shove to free the scientist from her predicament, but she had only a few seconds of fresh air as the action wouldn't subside for much longer.
At the speed of Mercury, her blonde opponent was ready to stampede any opposition, so Wicke needed just as swift reactions to survive. While their bodies were parallel and a millisecond before impact, the purplette hurled her arm in an angle with intent to hook underneath Athena's near shoulder. If this worked, Wicke would try to exploit the acquired momentum and lean back so the superheroine was flipped hard by a sudden Japanese style arm drag.
Sent running towards the ropes, Athena tried to use this opportunity to put some momentum into her movement as she rebounded from the ropes before returning back to where Wicke was, planning to hit her with a shoulder block. But it seemed that Wicke was prepared for her as she hooked her arm underneath her shoulder, and before she knew it, Athena was flipped over and sent crashing down into the mat with a Japanese arm drag!
"AGHH!!"
Athena tried rolling her body to minimize the damage, but the arm drag had left her momentarily distracted. Grunting, the blonde veteran pressed her palms against the mat as she tried to push herself up, but this would leave her exposed to whatever Wicke would try next, and she would be having problem keeping herself protected from whatever her opponent might have in her mind.
As if Wicke possibly predicted these sequence of events before her foe hit the ropes, she managed to toss the heroine around and sit up in no time, only flinching slightly as a result of the resounding crash. However she needed further tricks in order to overcome Athena's will. It took a brief glance at the blonde's current position to allow another simulation to play in Wicke's brain.
Exploiting Athena's blindspot, she stomped towards an opening between the laying wrestler's legs and crouched down. As if intentionally wanting her own torso to be scissored, Wicke would then proceed to secure her arms around Athena's upper thigh. Grunting heavily, she had the hefty task of trying to suddenly lift her opponent off the mat and suspend the other wrestler into a temporary backdrop only to come down with an attempted facebuster!
