Cat and Turtle: Catalina Vicente vs Akari Ito

Things had been pretty fast and furious between Cat and Akari since the moment the bell rang, with only momentary reprieve between the two after their clashes with one another. More importantly however was how evenly matched the two seemed to be for now, with neither girl managing to get a full lead over the other. Cat thought was looking to try and change that as she charged at Akari and managed to play the Sea Turtle perfectly, avoiding the attack and then responding with an even bigger one herself with her dropkick! Immediately kipping back up to her feet after the impact Cat would smirk at her opponent and the position she was in. Bending her knees briefly like a runner Catalina would take off towards Akari, leaping up as she approached to grab onto the top rope before, in a feat of gymnastic skill Cat would use a combination of her own muscle control and her momentum to lift her lower body straight up... Before her weight well back down, to hopefully drive her feet into Akari's chest!

Akari was winded and dazed after absorbing her opponent's boots straight into her body. Thanks to that impressively fierce Dropkick, the Japanese woman was recoiling with pain, finding it difficult to inhale air back into her lungs. With the Sea Turtle momentarily down and out, Catalina used this opportunity to its fullest. The Argentinian wrestler shot forward, darting straight at Akari like a bolt of lightning. She continued to pick up speed until she leaped into the air just before colliding with the injured Sea Turtle. She raises herself into the air, showing off that athletic prowess again before coming back down onto Akari's body with a CRUSHING stomp that caved in the Japanese woman's chest, leaving her a wheezing, gasping mess as she erupted into a coughing fit with a burst of spittle spewing from her mouth. The impact sends Akari through the ropes, the upper half of her body hanging out over the apron, leaving the woman's consciousness hanging on by a thread.

This right here was the core of Catalina's offensive strategy once she could get it going. Fast paced, big impact attacks at an opponent's core that left them breathless and disoriented for even further big moves to end things. Luckily that delayed stomp had done its job and left Akari seemingly breathless and unable to react. Perfect for what Catalina needed to do, especially with Akari's upper body draped over the rope and hanging halfway out onto the apron! "Get ready!!!" Catalina would yell to the crowd as she climbed between the ropes to stand on the apron before grabbing Akari's head and forcing the body the rest of the way through the ropes till both were standing precariously on the outside apron. Turning around and grabbing onto Akari's head with one arm and tightening her grip Cat would look at the corner in front of her with a determined look. "ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY PERCENT!" Cat declared boldly as she began running across the aprong towards the corner, leaping up and pressing her feet against it before running up the side of the outside of the corner, trying to push herself up and over her foe to try and bring Akari down back and neck first against the outside apron with a sliced bread using the outside corner post!

With Akari left wasted across the ropes, hung out to dry, Catalina had total control over the pace of this match. The Argentinian woman was intent on maintaining the speed she and Akari built, pumping herself up as the audience cheered her on. After Cat slipped through the ropes, she dragged Akari through to set her up. With her arm wrapped around the Sea Turtle's head, Catalina released a mighty roar before running across the apron with Akari in tow. Cat takes her dazed opponent to the corner post, running up its side and leaping over Akari to bring her backside down across the sturdy apron with an Apron Sliced Bread!!! Akari's spine crashes against the surface of the ring, and her body jolts momentarily before going slack. After a few moments of teetering on the edge of the ring, she tips over and falls onto the floor outside the ring, landing on her side with a low grunt, eyes practically shut as her body heaved up and down in exhaustion after taking such a hit. She tries to rise but can hardly muster any strength in her body. Now she was left lying helpless on the floor for the time being.

For what may have been the first time since the match had begun it seemed like a decisive advantage had been achieved and it belonged to Catalina after a dazzling yet brutal cutter to the ring apron that left both women on the outside of the ring, but with one in significantly better condition than her foe. Getting herself back up to her feet and smiling out at the crowd Cat raised her hand up as they all cheered for her in response before she turned and went back to the ring without her opponent. Getting up to her feet and looking to the outside Catalina would wait for Akari to start getting up to her feet. The moment that climb began is the same that Cat would suddenly turn and run towards the ropes opposite of where Cat and Akari had been battling. Turning and bouncing off the cables with as much momentum as she could get Catalina would dash at the opposing ropes, looking to leap forward, clearing them to try and crash into Akari with a tope con hillo!

After taking such a brutal blow to the back of her body, Akari spilled to the floor on the outside in a slump. The referee stepped in to count both women out, but Catalina slid back into the ring, prompting the official to warn the currently disposed of Sea Turtle with a loud count. 1...2... At first, Akari hadn't moved an inch. The woman had been put through the wringer after Catalina's overwhelming level of offense. 3...4... With the Sea Turtle forced into a rough situation, she willed herself to stand as quickly as possible. If she couldn't get up in time, she'd be finished...forced to accept defeat in a way that would upset her the most...more than any brutal beating or submission. 5...6... She didn't want to lose to some measly count out. A win was a win, sure, but the crowd deserved something better than that. It was a struggle at first, but Akari rose to her feet after rising to her knees first. 7...8... She turned around with a fiery look in her eyes, ready to jump back into the ring before it was too late!!! However, to her shock, Catalina had leaped over the ropes, clearing the top of them with one tremendous jump, soaring through the air and crashing onto Akari with a Tope Con Hilo, resetting the out-of-ring disqualification count, but laying the Sea Turtle out again as her backside hits the floor!!! Akari is sent back to the ground with a hard landing, grunting loudly and falling back into an exhausted state...

Bouncing on her heels in preparation Catalina was watching Akari with laser focused gaze, knowing she needed to press her offense but had a plan to do it in a certain way and that relied on Akari getting up to her feet before attacking. Of course there was another factor to take into account in the form of the referee counting Akari out, the count actually getting quite high, making Cat bite her lip as she briefly considered changing her game plan. Luckily though Akari would manage to stand back up, or at least start too which is all Cat needed, prompting her to charge the ropes and fly over them, crashing into Akari and bringing her down to the floor!

"YEAHHHHHH!!!" Crying out in triumph as she rolled off Akari and to her knees Cat would raise her arm up in pride before pounding her chest to keep herself hyped as the crowd responded in kind, cheering louder and louder as Cat got up to her feet, bending down and grabbing Akari by the hair she would turn and aim to push Akari back into the ring before getting up on the apron and then climbing up the corner from the outside till she was at the top... then, running off the energy of the crowd Cat would take to the sky, leaping off the top corner, throwing her legs forward while jutting her elbow out to go for a insane elbow drop!

Akari couldn't begin to tell where she was. She couldn't see, couldn't hear, and couldn't FEEL a thing...Everything felt rough, stiff, and numb at the same time. She tried to move, but her body wasn't listening. Eventually, the Sea Turtle would begin to move, but not of her own accord. Catalina dragged her back into the ring, sliding the pained Japanese woman under the ropes until she was in position. Once Akari was laid flat on her back, Catalina climbed to the top of the corner, approaching the apex of the turnbuckle before flying off with a mighty leap into the air!!! She sails through the sky for a moment, almost angelic in motion as she soars high, gaining incredible height before bringing down all her weight and momentum onto Akari's midsection as she CRASHES down atop the Sea Turtle with her elbow for an absolutely DEVASTATING Elbow Drop. Akari's eyes go wide as spittle is spewed from her mouth. Her body convulses with pain as she shudders and shakes, quaking uncontrollably as her body folds slightly, legs popping upward from the impact before settling back down to the canvas. The Sea Turtle goes limp, barely conscious, with her chest slowly shifting up and down to signal to the referee that she is still breathing and awake...but the Japanese woman was barely hanging on by the loosest of dangling threads after enduring such a tremendous blow...Although, to say she endured remains to be seen, as Catalina had the perfect opportunity to end this match here and now.

Lucha Libre was all about taking risks and putting everything you had and then some into your moves. The latter is what this match was all about, thats what Akari had made clear to Cat, so naturally Cat looked to take all measures of safety and self preservation out the window in favor of all or nothing tactics to try and take Akari down! So far all of it was paying off with Cat managing to lay in some massive damage to Akari between the sliced bread, the tope, and now just recently the massive insane elbow drop that left Akari all but lifeless on the mat! Sitting up, unable to capitalize immediately as she held her back which took a measure of recoil from the high impact move, Cat knew she had to act fast... but first. "YEAHHHHHH!!!" She cried out in getting the crowd to cheer out in response before she scooted backwards, looking to sit on Akari's chest before grabbing the girl's leg and leaning back as far as possible to pin the Sea Turtle!

Akari was still on the canvas, barely moving an inch outside her shallow breathing. Her ears rang so loudly that even the abrupt roar of the crowd was drowned out in a sea of white noise. The only thing that came close to breaking the endless muffled ringing was Catalina's loud cheer. Oh. Right...She had just taken a devastating hit to her midsection. After taking so much damage before that, the Sea Turtle was effectively served up to the Argentinian woman on a silver platter. Catalina was probably ready to pin her then and there after a brief moment of showboating. As if on cue, the moment Akari thought about it, the moment manifested into existence. Catalina climbed across the battered Sea Turtle's body, planting her rear firmly on the woman's upper body and chest area, grabbing her leg, and hooking it back as she used her weight to pin Akari's shoulders to the mat...was this it?

NO!!!


With a big push, Akari used everything in her power to lift a SINGLE shoulder off the canvas, breaking the pin for only a split second!!! The Sea Turtle was showing her resolve to fight on. She was down...but not quite out. After burning through her stamina in an intense back-and-forth battle at full speed and taking a hellacious combination of moves back-to-back, the Sea Turtle managed to SURVIVE. Be it a stroke of luck, some miracle of fate, or some unforeseen second wind...call it whatever you'd like, but the Japanese woman was NOT done here!!! With a burning sensation coursing through her midsection, Akari tries to use one free arm to push Catalina off her body before she can secure the pin again, using every ounce of wherewithal in her body to keep herself awake and focused.
