Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
The vicious chop echoed into the arena as Toshiko Ito nailed Lisbeth hard in the chest with it. Ito glowered back at Carlsen as she struggled after the attack, but it did seem to have the somewhat desired effect of waking her opponent up more. And Lisbeth went into action after being nearly out of it just earlier. The shot of adrenaline was what her foe needed, as the girl was grabbing hold of Toshiko. The Twilight Edge tried to break the clinch before being hit in her toned stomach with a knee, doubling her over with a grunt.
A punch came after, which Toshiko was able to duck, but the cross that came after had hit Ito hard in the cheek, sending her stumbling away as she turned. She took a few paces back, holding her hurt face as she cringed behind her mask, hissing angrily from that strike. At least Lisbeth was making a proper fight out of it, but Ito would have to make her pay for that sooner than later.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Finally, Lisbeth felt like her attacks were making a dent and like a shark to blood, she would follow. She would faint another strike to Toshiko's face only to switch it up for another hook to the body, again targeting the liver. That was followed by a round kick to the opposite side of her body.
Regardless of her success there she would next try to force a level change, darting in, trying to shove her shoulder into her foe's stomach and grabbing her legs to lift up for a moment before blaming her down to the mat.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Toshiko was more than a little rattled from the strikes from Lisbeth at this point, and as she turned around, the Twilight Edge went to duck another faint, only to be caught with a body blow. "Mmmph!" grunted out the Japanese girl before being hit in the opposite side of her body with a kick. "Ahhn!"
And then a tackle came right after, sending Toshiko up and then down into the mat hard! Toshiko groaned out loud, knowing that Carlsen had managed to get some solid offense on her now, and her body was feeling it. Ito would then try to frantically throw elbows towards Lisbeth's head, trying to break her away from her. She knew she needed to get some space, if possible.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
It all started to click now and Lisbeth was willing to bet that her opponent was regretting not using her chance to finish things when she had it. Still, Carlsen's relentless offense did cost her as a few elbows reached her head, opening a small cut on the side of her head that leaked crimson. By Lisbeth's own trials and grunts, one could guess that her damage from before and now started adding up and this put more motivation for her to persist in attacking to hopefully finish Toshiko before the fight could swing the other way.
At first, she would in fact withdraw, partially due to the damage and partially to do something about it. She would try to loop her own arm around Toshiko's to get an underhook and should that work she'd get to her knees and pull to then with her free arm start hammering her opponent's face!

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Toshiko's elbow repeatedly smashed into Lisbeth's head, trying to cause her more and more pain and keep her from following up too quickly. Ito was successful, with Lisbeth staggering back before coming right back. The Twilight Edge was surprised she came back so quickly, and caught off-guard. Her arm trapped by Carlsen, she began to tack blows to her face, letting out a loud grunt with each hit.
After enough strikes, the Japanese striker knew she needed to put an end to this, throwing her forearm into Lisbeth's next strike in order to briefly stop the hits. Sucking in a deep breath, Toshiko would shift her hips and then swing her leg around, aiming to throw it up and clock Lisbeth in her skull! She wanted to get Carlsen off and give herself a moment to recover--and a stiff shot like that was her best chance.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Lisbeth continued her onslaught and planned to get into a proper mount soon enough when her strikes suddenly got interrupted by Toshiko's arm pushing through her offence. Carlsen scoffed, shifted and was about to continue to lay down hurt on her opponent when Toshiko's kick landed at the side of her head. Lisbeth was forced to let go of the Japanese woman as she fell to her side, rolling away so as to not let the other woman capitalize on that opening.
When at the ropes she would use them to get up after which she would get into her stance, readying herself for whatever her foe could have in store for her this time.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Toshiko's kick landed flush to Lisbeth's head, forcing her opponent off of her. Ito would then roll onto her front, scrunching up her face in pain as she pushed off of the mat with a forearm. It seemed like Carlsen was trying to get even more space as she went to the ropes, prompting Toshiko to take another moment to recover. Giving Lisbeth a piercing stare, she would plant a hand on the mat and push herself up.
Wiping the side of her head, the Twilight Edge would then abruptly adopt a martial arts stance before rushing at Carlsen again. She went directly at her foe before feinting a strike at Lisbeth before moving past her and gripping the top rope, vaulting over it and swinging back, attempting to plant both knees directly towards Lisbeth's back, wanting to blast her with another hard strike in an unorthodox manner.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Being used to fights taking place inside of a wire fence, made Lisbeth too used to things being straightforward, too used to it as far as wrestling was concerned. That being the case when Toshiko went to attack her, she fell for the faint only to seconds later fall to all fours as her opponent struck her back!
Carlsen would growl in pain and frustration as she fell but she still had fight left in her. To keep herself from another attack she would throw a back kick before pushing up and turning with her signature backfist strike to hopefully keep Toshiko on the ropes.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Toshiko Ito had performed a rather flashy maneuver for a heavyweight--always able to surprise people with her quickness. The vault to the apron and knees smashed into Lisbeth in an unorthodox manner as the Twilight Edge sent her foe falling forward. The Japanese striker looked down at Carlsen and got ready to make another move before she watched her opponent suddenly get up and throw a back kick, which Toshiko had deftly side-stepped to narrowly avoid.
But then a spinning backfist was a strike she didn't expect right after, being smashed in the face with it as her back hit the apron! The rest of her body would then slip off the side as she fell onto the padded outside, stunned from that hard strike. She would place a hand to her face where she was hit and continue to lay there, not ready to fight back quite yet to get back up.

Re: Toshiko Ito vs. Lisbeth Carlsen (Apex Qualifier)
Seeing Toshiko fall out of the ring Lisbeth took a second and looked at the ref before remembering the rules around that in wrestling. She would grab the ropes and slide out of the ring, standing over her opponent as she would deliver a vicious stomp to her midsection.
Now it was time to get back inside and she would try to get the Japanese woman back to her feet, attempting to slam her head on the apron for good measure before rolling her under the ropes and following her inside.
