Cheryl Williams vs Korra the Enforcer - Apex Qualifier

Cheryl would target Korra's leg knowing that taking out her knees would be something to help stop her from throwing her around. She had a few ideas on how to work on it but she needed Korra to be less agile than she was now before she tried it, most of it was too much for early for the match now when a few kicks here and there would do the trick. Or in this case a lot of kicks, which were hitting a pissed off Korra before she caught her leg. Cheryl looked shocked and felt Korra trying to pull her down by her leg but would hold her leg tighter to avoid going down, pulling on her head however she needed to stay that way. But with how things were going she knew she needed to get her off her, and to find a way to stay up, desperate enough to take a risk.

Holding onto Korra's head tight she would attempt to pull her head down and raise her other leg up try to knee Korra in the face, knowing that if it failed she would be at Korra's mercy again. But if it succeeded she could let her head go and push Korra back before putting her training to use and going for a high kick to her head.

Her hands snatched on Cheryl’s leg to keep her from getting any ideas about going for her leg before she took off. The situation hadn’t improved much but at least she had stalled Cheryl. That was what she thought at least before Cheryl let her head go and managed to suck her down for a knee to the face with her free leg. If she had just pulled up in that moment Cheryl would have lost her footing but the speed was impeccable so all Korra got was a nose job she didn’t ask for with a side of pain. The sudden pain nearly floored her when Korra jumped back to cover her face. All she saw was blackness, leaving her with no way to see the next kick coming that again but her face. Korra’s scream made Amber jump for joy watching the big fighter rocking like a boxer on her last legs, the blonde was punching the mat waiting for Cheryl to press the attack and kick Korra’s ass.

A knee to the face, followed by a kick to the face and for once Korra was actually hurt. Not just brushing off her kicks and looking annoyed. The knee shattered the impression and the kick confirmed that Korra was in a bad way. Cheryl knew she had a moment, and wouldn't waste it for a second, moving in behind, Korra she would run towards the ropes before going back at the staggered fighter. Since she wanted to stay on her feet it would make Cheryl's next move easy to hit and the next most obvious spot to strike.

"That leg is mine." Cheryl said before she would actually go for a low dropkick to the leg she had been focused on. Whether this knocked Korra down or not Cheryl would try to follow it up by grabbing the leg and pulling it to bring Korra down where she wanted her to before before attempting to apply a quick leg hook around the women's though while grabbing her foot and twisting it.

Korra was in trouble. She tried to deny it but that last hit was different from the last few. Everyone else knew it, while Korra was hurt Cheryl was moving in taking aim at her next target and putting two boots to Korra’s calf. “Tcchaaa!” Korra’s balance was neutralized by a big kick from Cheryl. She fell in pain, a giant toppled before her leg was pulled from her. Korra’s efforts to pull her leg back from her failed when Cheryl simply hooked it trapping and isolating it for future holds and leaving Korra on the floor scrapping for an escape route. “Let go before you make this harder on yourself.” A mutter to avoid screaming and hiding any pain she felt but one that still kept her voice from sounding as intimidating as she needed it to be. Her leg was still trapped, with Cheryl’s slow twisting of it making it clear that she wasn’t letting it go until something worse had been done to Korra.

Now that she was finding a weakness it was only natural that Cheryl exploited the hell out of this opening with every move she could pull off. Hooking the leg and trying to turn it anyway that would make Korra's ability to use it limited. Her own legs would wrap around it before she would try to build off that and start to focus on the foot, mainly the ankle to try and pull on while she had the leg captured.

"I'm holding on to make it easier on myself. How can you kick my ass on one leg?" Cheryl pestered Korra before she would give her foot a nasty twist. She would pull the leg to the side while keeping the thigh trapped and resist any attempts by Korra to free herself, this was the moment she was looking for and she would not waste a second of it.

“I’ll kick your ass legless! Rrraaggh!” The shouts of a wounded animal were all she could do with Cheryl trying to make her leg a wet noodle she could twist anyway she wanted. Korra grit her teeth to endure the painful twists Cheryl was forcing on her ankle all while she had to hear Amber in the background screaming in joy. “Bend it the other way! Snap it off Cheryl!” Amber was having a hit too much fun watching Korra suffer. Korra could only try and drown out many of Amber’s suggestions to focus on getting out but the best she thought of was turning enough to get a good look at Cheryl’s face and throwing out kicks with her other leg.

Cheryl ignored Korra's wounded words while she kept on using her leg to make her suffer. She watched the bigger fighter try to withstand the pain of the submission while Cheryl continued to pull the leg around in the hook, trying not to laugh while Amber wanted her to go full violence. She didn't intend to snap it off like Amber wanted, but she was still trying to bend it pretty badly when Korra was able to turn around on her and quickly sent a big kick to Cheryl's face.

"Aggh!" Chery' screamed as her head was knocked back. The kick was pretty strong and precise despite the conditions Korra was under, and she knew more would follow, while Cheryl could avoid the follow ups it wasn't safe to keep trying to and it made even working the submission dangerous for her. Despite having more planned she had to let Korra go and slip away before she got her head smashed by a well aimed kick, content that she at least did some damage before she came back up to her feet.

Her ugly face met her foot. She wished she could smile at that but it was purely for escape purposes which just made Korra steam with anger. Korra wanted a fight out of fighters. A cheerleader was not a fighter and she should not be able to hurt her. She would limp up to her feet feeling the pain spread from her ankle to her upper thigh before it faded. She could still walk but everyone could see she was hurt. “She’s wounded Cheryl finish her!” “Shut Up!” This match was going wrong Korra her to stop it now! She turned towards Cheryl ready to deck her with a punch before got up so she could just pound her face on the floor with no concern about moving and hurting her leg.

Cheryl was still holding her head after catching that kick, but Amber telling her that she was now dealing with an injured Korra was enough to get her moving again. A hurt limb was right up her alley, something she could use to work until she got a victory from it, and with Korra being much bigger than her she needed those kinds of weaknesses.

"Getting frustrated?" Cheryl asked Korra when she heard her snap at Amber. Ducking under the punch that followed when Korra didn't want her standing she ran to the ropes to get some momentum before coming back towards Korra and going for a jumping clothesline to take her down and allow her to go back at her legs once more.

Throwing punches that hit nothing she had to watch her slip away again while Korra watched her get away. Her frustration grew when Cheryl slipped behind her to catch the ropes and run back at her. This time she wouldn’t avoid her. Korra had to rush her but she knew what to do when Cheryl was jumping at her to be caught by Korra to use in a spinning side slam! She would see how many quips she could come up with on the mat.
