Sumiko vs Deku - The Journey Begins

Sumiko didn't let up on Deku at all! Her relentlessness wasn't driven by malice or any negativity towards Deku, but rather, she was driven by the desire to push him! Having taken control of the match and her opponent, Sumiko contorted Deku into an Abdominal Stretch and sank her fist into his core over and over!

Sumiko spurred Deku on as she worked him over, and to her surprise and the surprise of the fans, Deku responded!

"Ya!" Sumiko would grunt as she took her fist to his defined abs once more! But a surprised look on her face would form when Deku caught her arm by the wrist!

"Oh!" The brunette would gasp with glee as her opponent showed signs of life!

"Ah!" But Deku quickly showed more than just that! The boy moved with a sense of urgency, flipping the lightweight wrestler over his person and bringing her down to the canvas to turn the tides!

Deku proved to be quite capable, himself! He fast to Sumiko's wrist so that he could follow up by pulling the trapped arm between his legs to set her up for a Cross Armbreaker!

"Gah!" Dreamer would groan as she used her free arm toward her trapped arm to join her hands in an attempt to block the hold!

Sumiko was definitely the most positive and nicest opponent Deku had faced in a LAW ring so far, and it was a pleasant shake up. But as if part of a double edged sword Deku would find Sumiko to be a startlingly powerful foe despite her lightweight status!

Likewise she was technically sound as well, turning him around and locking him in a vicious abdominal stretch! However Deku wasn't gonna take it lying down, Sumiko's motivation working a bit too well as Deku managed to push past the pain and flip Sumiko over him, reversing the hold into a cross arm bar!

Of course, Sumiko wasn't done just yet either. Clasping her hands together to keep him from hyper extending her arm and thus preventing the hold, making for something of a stalemate...

But Deku had anticipated such a move. As she clasped her hands Deku would look to try and hold onto her arm with only one of his before reaching back to try and hook her leg. If successful then Deku would then try and lean forward, pushing her arms down and putting most of his weight onto her chest while folding her in half for a clever pinfall attempt!

Sumiko was as firm as she was kind. She made sure to encourage her opponents, especially hopefuls like Deku who needed it most. But that didn't mean she was going to go easy on the boy in the slightest!

"Grrr!" The brunette would growl as she fought to keep her fingers of both hands linked to deny her opponent the chance to lock her in an Armbar!

Sumiko was indeed a sound wrestler! She was brimming with power and spirit, especially for a girl in her weight class! These were just some of the many qualities that separate her from the undercard wrestlers and the Young Lionesses! Some of the qualities that saw her get an Apex Qualifier match! She refused to take the easy road! And she refused to capitalize on any hesitation or self-doubt from her opponents! Sumiko wanted Deku at his best! And despite all the offense she had thrown at him, Midoriya proved he was going to rise to the occasion!

"ONE...!" The referee's hand slapped the mat after some good improvisation on Deku's part! He managed to salvage his attempt at a hold and cleverly fashion Sumiko into a pin!

"TWO!"

"No!" Sumiko would cry out in defiance as she kicked out!

The girl would look to separate herself from Deku and roll one rotation away from him before catching herself on all fours.

"You're even better than I thought!" She'd compliment her opponent.

"But here comes round 2!" Without giving herself or her opponent any reprieve, Sumiko didn't allow the moment the time to breathe! In truth, both wrestlers were amassing support from the fans in the crowd! But Sumiko didn't allow them time to cheer or chant for one of them, either! She threw herself at Deku to try and catch him as she rose up from the canvas with a sudden Running Lariat!

Deku had been motivated by his opponent, something he both appreciated and was a bit embarrassed by, but he wasn't willing to look a gift horse in the mouth, nor was he going to go easy on his foe for doing so. That's why even as he struggled to get in the arm bar he would manage to transition it from a submission into a pinfall attempt, getting a two count from it no less before Sumiko kicked out.

Rolling back and away from the brunette Deku would push himself to his feet and turn to look at Sumiko, her infectious energy actually managing to get to him as he smiled at her in response to her own smile and compliment. "Yeah, same here!" he said, but that smile would soon get wiped away when he saw the brunette running towards him.

'Wait already?' He thought to himself, shocked that Sumiko was pushing herself so fast and effectively looked like a deer trapped in headlights as Sumiko charged and eventually ran into him like a truck! Arm bashing into his chest, taking him off his feet and forcing his body into doing a full slip flip and ending up flat on his face from the impact.

Sumiko wasn't one for moments of silence in matches! For the lightweight dynamo, there was no such thing as a reverse gear! When she brought it, she would keep bringing it! And she did everything she could to will her opponents into doing the same!

The brunette bounced back quickly and swung at Deku with darn near everything she had! Fans reacted with cheers and surprise when the petite wrestler practically turned the boy inside out! Sumiko's momentum kept her going even after connecting with the Lariat! She fell onto the ropes and raised her fist high in the air to respond to the crowd!

"YAATAAA!" The girl screamed before pulling herself upright and turning towards her downed opponent.

Slowly, Sumiko would make her way over to him. She'd place her bare foot on his back.

"Sorry, Izuku. No breaks!" Dreamer would assert as she looked to straddle the boy, placing one foot at each side of him so that she could squat down onto his back and look to grab hold of his arms!

If Sumiko managed to capitalize on a downed Deku, she'd take a seat on his back and drape the boy's biceps over her thighs! She'd look to cup her fingers under his chin and pull back to put some strain on his neck and back with a punishing Camel Clutch submission hold! Sumiko would try to lean back quite far to really put the pressure on!

"Now that I know you're good, I can give it 110 percent instead of just 100!"

Taken by surprise from the quick recovery of his opponent Deku was quickly overtaken by the speed and raw power of Sumiko as the girl charged in, driving her arm into his chest, the sheer force of which turning him inside out and leaving him to crash down hard on the mat. Groaning softly in pain as he laid face first on the mat there wasn't much Deku could do before Sumiko's weight dropped on his back!

"Gah!" Grunting out Deku tried to struggle and squirm while under Sumiko's weight, but he was helpless as the girl warned him there would be no breaks. All punctuated by her grabbing his arms and pulling them back, right over his legs and securing them there before he felt a pair of hands on his chin, pulling his head back with a brutal camel clutch!

Immediately Deku's eyes would widen in shock and pain as the strain on his neck and head immediately shot through his system! "Aghhhhhh! Gahhhh!" Screaming in pain as he was locked in the hold Deku would shake his head and kick his legs against the mat, but truth be told there wasn't much he could do. With how far back he was being pulled he couldn't crawl or drag himself anywhere. Likewise his arms were extremely secure over Sumiko's knees, leaving him with no other option but to endure this torturous hold for as long as he could!

Sumiko was fired up! She lived to draw out the best from her opponents and to push them to new heights! The lightweight genuinely believed that doing this helped her surpass her own limits as well! The boisterous brunette kept taking it to Deku! Not out of malice or for the sake of bullying, but because she wanted the both of them to bring their best to this match! And to every match!

Sumiko would continue wrenching back on poor Deku's head and chin, working him over in her Camel Clutch submission hold! She kept her fingers interlocked and her palms under his chin! She pulled back with considerable pressure! Her bare heels dug into the canvas beneath her as she continued working over the boy's back and neck! Sumiko applied this hold diligently! The crowd rallied with anticipation! The commentators speculated on just how much Deku could take! But what caused Sumiko to give pause wasn't a tap out or the roar of the crowd! It was the referee who had kneeled down and approached to ask Deku for his submission!

"Not yet! There's more!" Sumiko would declare as she looked to snake an arm over Deku's throat and transition to a Camel Clutch Sleeper hold!

If she managed to switch it up here uncontested, Sumiko would roll over onto her lower back, dragging Deku with her! The girl would look to scissor her strong legs over the green-haired boy's waist and cross her ankles to put pressure on his core! Sumiko would look to transition to a Scissored Sleeper hold to continue wearing Deku out! Should things go her way, she wouldn't let up!

"You've fought well, Deku! But I have you now!" Sumiko would declare with grit teeth while squeezing away!

Deku had been fired up pretty effectively by his opponent but despite that the sheer difference in skill and tenacity between them had been becoming more and more apparent. Sure it wasn't as if Deku was a beginner compared to the brunette, but confidence with which she used her moves and the speed at which she busted them out was what was becoming truly special to see, and why it just put her on a level above Deku even with his fighting spirit ignited.

Take the current circumstance for instance. Sumiko's camel clutch wasn't particularly special in how it had been applied. However the sheer fervor and intensity with which she applied it seemed to make it almost twice as effective as normal. Whats more with how tight her fingers were locked over Deku's throat he knew he'd have a hard time breaking out of it. Hell prying at her digits was hardly working so he tried dragging himself forward but that was looking less and less practical.

Eventually the ref dropped down to ask Deku if he wanted to submit and, if Deku was being honest there was a vocal part of hmi that wanted to give in. But before he could decide whether to listen to it or not Deku found himself lifted up and her arms locking tighter around his neck before being rolled over where Sumiko's legs joined her arm in crushing the life out of Deku with a bodyscissor sleeper hold combination! "Ack! Ught.. guh..." Deku's cries of pain grew softer and weaker in seconds, the sheer pressure of Sumiko's limbs taking the air out of him far faster than he could have predicted and instantly he knew he was trapped, there was no way out, Sumko was just... too good.

That was the sound that echoed as Deku rapidly tapped his hand against Sumiko's arm, signalling his submission to the girl.

Sumiko thrived most when she managed to draw out the best in her opponents! She met Deku's eagerness and boost in self-confidence with a brand of intensity that only she could bring to a LAW ring! And in the heat of the moment, she focused every bit of that intensity on poor Deku!

"Hnnngh!" Grunts of effort escaped the brunette's lips as she squeezed Deku for all the boy was worth! That was, up until she felt him tap her arm repeatedly!

"Oh!" Dreamer immediately released him. She brought her elbows to the canvas beneath them and sat up. She stopped squeezing with her legs, undoing her scissor hold on his core.

The referee called for the bell. And as she did, Sumiko hugged Deku from behind.

"Are you okay, Deku? I know I can be a lot but I think you were awesome!" Sumiko would be bright-eyed and all smiles. She'd take the time to help Deku up to his feet. If he accepted her help, she'd happily raise his arm high and invite the crowd to cheer them both for a well-fought match!

Trapped in a brutally effective hold by Sumiko it was clear right away to Deku that there was no way at all out of her clutches, the squeeze she had on him being too far too comprehensive, and her grip far too secure. Especially given the state he was already in, he really had no other option but to submit to the brunette.

Luckily Sumiko was as merciful as she was relentless and she was pretty quick to undo her submission hold on him, allowing him to breath easy once again as he reclined back against the girl, gasping softly but awake, happily accepting the hug from behind Sumiko gave him.

"Th-Thanks.. I.. I r-really tried." He gasped out still quite a bit breathless from the sleeper hold but not shy at all about responding to Sumiko. In fact despite the loss he was taking it better than he normally would. Maybe it was because of how strong Sumiko was, or how positive she was, but Deku just couldn't be mad about the fact that she was the winner.

Accepting her help up to his feet he would find his arm lifted up along with her own, a nice gesture that Deku appreciated, even if he had to lean on Sumiko still to stay standing, but he had no problem celebrating the winner with a smile on his face.
