Aurora hadn't been in LAW for too long. She hadn't done too many matches nor had she really strut her stuff around here. Though despite that she had a reputation, she was known worldwide after all. The Legend herself, the infamous and also famous Aurora Lund. She figured she would throw her name into this whole Apex Qualifier event. After all it was the road to get one of the most prestigious belts in LAW. The Openweight title! It wasn't going to be easy. That was for sure, she was going to have to face off against quite a few wrestlers to make her way to that stage where she could claim the belt. Yet, Aurora was willing to do so. She had no qualms about having to claw her way to the top, she had done it multiple times before and that was just how this business worked.

Tonight she was facing off against Marlee Jackson. She had heard a fair bit about this woman, mostly about her record. It seemed as if she didn't have the best of luck, maybe poor matchups? It didn't matter to much to Aurora, she was going to go in expecting a tough battle like usual. When her music started to play out of the speakers, Aurora began to march down the ramp. Wearing her usual blue leotard like outfit. She marched down the ramp to the cheers of the crowd. She was after all a world renowned veteran. Beloved wherever she went it seemed.

Slipping in under the ropes and getting to her feet. Aurora would shake her head a little and then roll it on her shoulders to make sure her neck was nice and limbered up. She walked towards her corner and turned around, folding her arms underneath her impressive chest. This was going to be a last woman standing match....so no matter what happened she was going to have a tough time, just to put her opponent down for a full 10 count.

Marlee stretched out behind the curtain, flexing out her shapely limbs in preparation. Her long brown hair cascaded down around her face as she straightened up, placing her hands on her hips. She tugged her orange and blue leotard more securely into place, the fabric tightly hugging her voluptuous frame, her outfit completed by a pair of thigh-high boots and long gloves that reached up her bicep. Marlee's record, after a minor upturn, had started to crash again, and she was desperate to drag herself out of her current position, flirting with outright jobberhood in LAW. She'd been training hard - working to try and get better, but things were still a struggle for the curvy Kiwi battler. She hoped today she could redress that balance!

Her music Skillet - Sick of It, came blasting out of the speakers. Marlee took on last breath to steady herself, bouncing on the balls of her feet before stepping out into the light of the arena. A mix of cheers and jeers met her, some fans, some mockers, and everything in between. Not as loud an entrance as her veteran opponent commanded, but Marlee couldn't dwell on that right now. She planted a smile on her face and pumped a fist in the air as she strutted her way down the ramp, doing her best to appear confident despite herself. She could always turn things around. She needed to stay positive.

Diving in under the bottom rope, Marlee rolled to her feet, doing a circuit of the ring and flexing her muscles for an appreciative crowd before taking up her position in the corner. The New Zealander took a deep breath and tried to focus, facing up to Aurora and looking the woman up and down. A powerful individual, to be sure, but that didn't mean Marlee couldn't take this match by the scruff of the neck and get herself an important win. Nodding to the referee to indicate her readiness, she met Aurora's gaze and gave a respectful nod of her head to the veteran.

Aurora's eyes moved to look up at the ramp as she saw her opponent make her way down the ring, their music playing out over the speakers. Her attention turned to the crowd to see what kind of reaction that she was getting out of them, it seemed overall rather mixed. That didn't necessarily mean anything. Though she was curious now, the veteran wanted to know what kind of a wrestler that Marlee was.

After Marlee was done with her circuit of the ring and showing her rather impressive frame off, she stepped into her corner and the referee would look over at both women respectively. They each gave a nod to show they were ready to start the match and with that the ref called for the bell!

*Ding Ding Ding*

Aurora would step out of her corner and start to walk up tot he center of the ring, looking to meet her foe there as she gave her a slightly motherly smile. She'd raise her right arm up high into the air, as if indicating that she wanted to start things off with a test of strength. She'd wait to see if Marlee wanted to accept the challenge or not, and if she did she would raise her other hand and begin to lock up with the brunette.
