Shinobi Submission Showdown! [Qualifier] (Kuro vs. Pysche)

Cassandra and Kuro’s views on true ninja were.. incredibly different. Kuro’s admittedly much more accurate. Cassandra’s training in the ninja arts was absolutely none whatsoever, and while she was indeed capable of producing stealthy and athletic results, she had an issue.

Her “ideals” of ninja’s definitely came from a more fantasy world compared to hers, which, as proved during the fight.. never made it that well. She rushed in, aiming for a takedown. A solid shoulder charge into Kuro’s figure, but.. it didn’t work. Not by a mile. Kuro instead managed to cartwheel and slam her foot into Cassie’s chin, knocking her head back and causing her to gasp out, her momentum stopped and Cassandra’s body teetering down.

As her body fell, her mind rushed.. primarily? She was confused.

[.. how?]

Kuro seemed to be a step above Cassie in this aspect. Cass had prided herself in her own flexibility and ability to think fast. She hadn’t yet faced anyone that was as good as her in that department.. but.. this made her realise.. this wasn’t going to be easy.

As soon as her back hit the ground, Cassie struck back. Taking it more seriously, she’d sweep out with her leg as soon as she recovered her composure, planning to get the drop on Kuro!

Kuro felt the wonderful sensation of a hard connection, hearing the crowd's gasps and cheers at the acrobatic counter and a near reversal of positions from the two's first engagement. And as Kuro arched backwards she stood back to her feet in a quick and fluid motion, giving a quick victory sign with her hand and winking to the crowd that was now cheering her name. How's that for taijutsu, huh? She flashed a grin in Cassandra's direction, watching as she fell.

And she immediately struck out.

"Whoa!" The kick came in an instant, taking Kuro's legs out from under her. Kuro's eyes widened, gravity immediately yanking her down face first. "Waaah!" She waved her arms about as if they'd slow down the fall, crashing to the ground all the same and landing on her stomach. "Oooough..." Her head spun as her body throbbed in pain from the impact, a hand to her side to try and stop the ticks of pain now coursing through her.

“Alright..”

She’d grit her teeth. Cassandra, all in all.. had a problem. She knew it, and fighting with Kuro had been making it much more apparent.

She was varied. Too varied to the point that she tended to confuse herself on what she should do, what she should not do. Against Kuro, a fighter who fought like a shinobi.. Cassandra had wanted to fight fire with fire, so she came to the arena dressed as one herself.

But in doing so, she forgot something.

She wasn’t miss Sienna who was built around emulating different persona’s in battle. She may have tried to do it many times, even if she wasn’t very good at it.. it simply fascinated her. Cassandra was a butterfly..

And when it came to competition, to matches when she wanted to win, she was just like her mother. A dragoness. Her leg struck Kuro’s, dropping the shinobi.. but Cassandra’s style had changed up to something that she didn’t do that often, an air of seriousness on her face. She’s rip the mask off of her face, leaning forwards and wrapping an arm around Kuro’s, locking with it. She did not wish to give her competitor respite, so Cassandra clasped her by her arm, spinning around her foe and tossing Kuro into the ropes with excessive force! If all went well, Kuro’d bounce off, back to Cass..

.. and Cassandra would be waiting. She’d sidestep, but sweep her leg long and wide to sweep her foe off balance, face planting Kuro into the canvas if all went well!

Kuro's head and body still throbbed as she started to push herself up. "U-Ugh..." Splotches of color still flashed along the ring, and her head was a swirling mess of thoughts and emotions. She had to admit it, that sweep got her good. Such a pain... Kuro forced herself to inhale breaths of air, slowly getting to her feet at last and trying to steady herself, an act Cassandra immediately took action as she grab Kuro by the arm and flung her against the ropes.

"Waaah!" Kuro didn't have the stability to stay on her feet nor to put up much resistance against it. She practically slammed against the ropes, nearly letting spittle fly from her mouth at the impact and the ropes forced her back. She bounced back, feet staggering and tripping across the floor to be met with another hard leg sweep from Cassandra. And this, there was no hope of balancing herself. Already off balance and not even able to raise her arms for some form of recovery she met the canvas below face first in an almost comical fashions, arms splayed out and legs bouncing up on impact. The sight got a chuckle from the crowd as she face-planted hard, and her face blushed red from humiliation and frustration. Ugh, dammit!!

“Sorry!”

She apologised quickly for the sweep, feeling it had been a little cheap of a shot. Cassandra however was not one to let an advantage go, and she had leaned down and dropped herself down on top of Kuro, resting her butt against the woman’s back. Cassandra leaned forwards, clasping Kuro’s hands and pulling them behind her, locking them underneath her own.. as she’d lean forwards once more

Now Cass interlocked her fingers in front of Kuro, cupping her chin and giving her a playful smile which Kuro couldn’t see unless she angled herself back to do so.

“I’m a pretty good submissionist.. so feel free to tap out!”

She warned. Cass suddenly yanked Kuro’s chin, wrenching her back in a rather painful camel clutch which was design to deliver pain to her enemy’s body, specifically her spine. She’d dig her heels into her sides, a special package of pain just for Kuro!

“Special package of pain, just for you.. I should call myself the Santa claus of submissions, ehe..”

Kuro's head swirled a bit from the drop down. The world was low hum of pain centered at her face and the dizzying experience of trying to get her bearings. She could make out the audience's laughter and a bit of the referee's voice, but what she knew for sure was that she needed to move, and fast. She had to get into a better position before Cassandra could-

"Gh-" She could feel it, Cassandra's weight atop her. Her mind sobered up from the pain quick as she felt the girl's hands over her chin.

"G-Gh! Ghnnn! Ngaaaaah!" She gritted her teeth at first, trying to refuse to give Cassandra the satisfaction of her screams, but it was too much to resist. What is with every wrestler in this league having shitty puns?! The referee asked if Kuro surrendered, but she refused immediately, flailing her arms about in a pathetic matter, kicking her legs about in an attempt to get free. She had to resist. She couldn't surrender, not like this. Not without giving this fake kunoichi something to fear and regret.

Cassandra wasn’t a bad punner. Usually. She just couldn’t resist sometimes. She was usually a bad nicknamer, and hadn’t secured a good one for anyone in a long, long while. Her eyes narrowed though. So Kuro was being..

Difficult. She wasn’t tapping, and Cassandra was not happy. Of course, a bit of her mind was telling her how illogical that was, that the match had just begun, but Cassie was not listening. She pressed her fingers to her cheeks and squished, relieving her of the pain.. only to be subject to a spot of teasing, pinching her cheeks like a baby.

“You won’t give? Good, cause I don’t want to win to someone who can’t even take this..!”

She removed herself from sitting on the back and the boston crab. But Cassie kept a foot on her back, slowly balancing both of them on top of her, between her ass and shoulder blades.

“If I win.. or you win..

I’m making sure we WORK for it! Hiyah!”

She leapt up and STOMPED down, stamping her heels down right into Kuro’s back ruthlessly!

Kuro could feel her eye twitch and face redden in rage. It took a lot to hold back the furious glare she wanted to give, to mask her furious snarled between heavy pants. Like hell I'll give up from this. It hurt. It hurt like a bitch, but it wasn't the worst she's endured, neither in this ring or out of it. And soon, as Cassandra started to realize it'd take more than one hold to end a wrestling match and finally started to ease up, Kuro let out a shaky exhale. Her torso and head drooped to the mat, and she could feel the blood flow around her spine again. Though... Kuro still felt the weight of Cassandra's feet along her shoulders and back. It was a chilling feeling as she heard Cassandra speak further. The hell is she-?

Immediately she felt a cold sweat as the weight suddenly leave, and every nerve in Kuro's body screamed at her to move.

With the little time she had Kuro jerked to her body to the side, getting an inch or two from where she was dropped but-

"Graaah!"

Just a bit too late. Her spine was saved, but Cassandra's feet slammed hard into Kuro's thigh, and the shriek she let out on impact had the crowd groaning as Kuro thrashed and rolled about, clutching her leg, desperate to get to the ropes and pull herself up to her feet.
