Charlotte only shook her head slightly when she heard the blonde's words. It seems the Austrian woman realized that the Sand Lizard mentally compared her to someone. Harmonia really looked like the younger sister of the Frenchwoman, who always accused Charlotte of all sins. Some people are simply unable to accept reality, preferring to live in a fictional world, shifting the blame for their mistakes to someone else.

Charlotte herself preferred facts and the truth, for the same reasons she never lies. And now all the facts, as well as the truth, were obvious to her. Calling herself the Superstar, her rival had no qualms about breaking the rules for the sake of winning. And when Charlotte pointed this out, she was simply unable to face the truth. The only difference between her and Charlotte was that Charlotte was willing to train and improve herself for the sake of winning, while Harmonia was willing to go around the rules for the sake of winning. The Superstar...

One of the reasons why Charlotte decided to take part in the race for the world title is that now in the federation at the very top there were mainly those who had no idea about honor. She wasn't interested in fame or money. But if she reaches the Apex match, she will show and remind all viewers that a fighter does not have to be a scoundrel who is ready for almost any baseness for the sake of victory. The Sand Lizard couldn't even think that this match would go down that way. But even that didn't change anything. She entered the ring with only one purpose.

Therefore, she blocked the arms of her stunned opponent, intending if not to finish this match, then for sure to reduce the blonde's chance of winning. Starting to walk around from the corner, Charlotte was going to get closer to the center of the ring, because in this case the Austrian woman would not have the opportunity to use the ropes to break the pin. It seemed that everything should go according to plan, because her opponent's condition left much to be desired after all the attacks of the Sand Lizard. But, as they say, few plans are reliable enough to work without a hitch.

After Charlotte took a few steps, Harmonia suddenly strained her arms, breaking the Frenchwoman's hold. In the blink of an eye, the blonde straightened to her full height, and punch headed for the head of the Sand Lizard. Charlotte was not in the habit of underestimating her rivals, but she was not ready for such a sudden turn of events, being sure that she had inflicted enough damage on the Austrian woman so that she would remain weakened for a while.

"Gh!" Charlotte gasped painfully as the fist smashed into her chin.

Unable to react quickly enough, she failed to protect herself from the first punch. Almost immediately she felt the taste of blood in her mouth, but now it worried her very little. Her main problem was that a fog appeared in her head. Punch, missed in the chin, in most cases leads the fighter to the groggy state. The Sand Lizard's thoughts were mixed up and she couldn't bring herself to launch a counterattack.

Instincts were the pink-haired woman's only helper at the moment. Even though her vision became blurry, she clenched her fists and raised her arms up, covering most of her face and the sides of her torso. This helped her to cope with her opponent's second and third punch. By this time, her vision began to normalize, and her head began to clear up, because the groggy state did not last long enough. But then something happened that prevented her from returning to the fight.

Having protected the face and sides of the torso, she put her core without protection. And at the moment when Charlotte's vision returned to normal, she received a hard punch right in the solar plexus. The Frenchwoman's face was distorted with pain, and the air left her lungs with a whoosh. Due to the spasm in her muscles and the wild pain, she involuntarily leaned forward, which allowed her opponent to grab her.

Even if she had the opportunity to respond to her rival's words, she would hardly have done it. Harmonia has already more than fully shown Charlotte what she is made of. She was made of the same stuff that everyone else in this federation who didn't have honor was made of. However, Charlotte didn't have a chance to respond. "Aaaahhhh!!!" Charlotte cried at the moment when her back crashed into Harmonia's knee.

The Sand Lizard's body bounced off her opponent's knee and then she collapsed onto the mat. A discharge of pain passed through the Frenchwoman, which echoed in almost every cell of her body. Her back arched involuntarily. Lying on her left side, she put her right hand on her injured back, trying to calm the pain. Charlotte's eyes were tightly closed and her teeth were tightly clenched. Almost unable to breathe after being hit in the solar plexus, it was difficult for her to cope with the pain, although she tried to do it anyway.

Harmonia had lifted Charlotte into the air, even keeping her there with no problem,making the fans cheer and chant for the Superstar. But Harmonia could'nt smile. There she was again, with an opponent that did'nt take her seriously, that accused her of things and the blonde bombshell just had it. For her it was payback time! Charlotte had landed some massive hits an Harmonias head was still reeling from the impacts it had to endure, but the adrenaline and her own strong will, managed to get her through the pain and the humiliating prospect of an early loss against the proud martial artist.

"This is LAW...", Harmonia said while still holding Charlotte above her head. "Here everyone has a place. Everyone gets the chance for greatness. And everyone of us, like you, puts their body on the line each evening for the fans and for ourselves. So never, ever say that I don't have a right for my title. I fought hard for it, I was put throught the wringer, had to endure pain and shame only to be where I am now. And I tell you something Charlotte, I...am...burning...like...fiiiiireeeeee!", she screamed as she slammed the body of her opponent down over her knee. She saw Charlotte arching her back, falling to the canvas and grab behind her in pain. Harmonia did'nt move, she did'nt even show a sign of a smirk. This has gotten personal and if Charlotte wanted it to be that way, so be it.

She grabbed the hurting form of the frenchwoman and lifted her back over her knee, holding her in place while starting to slowly bending her head and her lower body down over it, trying to form a C out of Charlottes body, while she started to talk again. "I will show you what I am capable off. I show you that I need no tricks to get you down you arrogant bitch.", she snarled through gritted teeth and added to the pressure , bending Charlotte as far as she could. "Where is your big mouth now? I just hear screams...", Harmonia added with a slight chuckle. She was not the woman to torture anyone and getting off on it like Sylvia but there was a certain satisfaction in breaking opponents who did'nt show any respect to her.

The referee went down on her knees, asking the pinquette if she wanted to give as her body was bent more and more , seemingly close to snapping in half...

At the moment, Charlotte's only goal was to gather her strength. Although it was more than obvious that this was not the easiest task. Having successfully stunned Charlotte, her opponent had the opportunity to carry out a powerful attack, as a result of which the Frenchwoman's body was filled with pain. And although her head came back to normal after a punch to the chin, her spine seemed to be shackled by pain.

These feelings reminded her of her endless training sessions with her friend. More than half of the Golden Dragon's attacks were directed at the back, so Charlotte had some experience with spinal pain. But, contrary to popular belief, even such tough training cannot prepare a fighter for something like this. She tried to force herself to start moving, but the pain was too significant.

The inability to move opened the way for the Austrian woman to continue her offensive. Grabbing Charlotte, she lifted her up, and then put the Sand Lizard's back on her knee again. The pink-haired woman clenched her jaw, realizing what would happen next. But this knowledge could not prepare her either mentally or physically. One second later, one of Harmonia's hands was on her neck, and the other hand was somewhere in the area of her legs.

"Ghhhh!" Charlotte groaned painfully at the moment when her back began to bend at an unnatural angle.

And, of course, the blonde kept talking. At that moment, Charlotte was ready to sell her soul to the devil just not to hear the nonsense that Harmonia was saying. The Sand Lizard has already managed to get used to the fact that every second fighter here has a habit of throwing a sharp phrase after each successful attack, not caring that they will look like idiots if the situation in the match changes after a while. It was a little annoying, but at least it could be perceived as part of the show for the audience. But Harmonia's words…

Big mouth. Arrogant bitch. No tricks. Charlotte sincerely did not understand whether her rival was really so deeply immersed in her fictional world to turn the facts inside out. Because all the words spoken were diametrically opposed. It was she who stepped into this ring and smugly declared that she would kick Charlotte's ass. It was she who used a dirty trick right after she found herself in a difficult situation. And it was she who publicly called herself the Superstar, having achieved absolutely nothing. Did she really take off her rose-colored glasses before the match started? Because the facts said that there was only one arrogant bitch with a big mouth in this ring. And it wasn't Charlotte.

"You give up?"

The question from the referee became something like a bucket of cold water for Charlotte, which was poured directly on her head. Because of the pain, she tried to twitch from side to side, but her opponent's grip severely limited her movements. She tried to pull herself together, but the pain in her body was increasing exponentially, Charlotte felt that every second in this hold was like a vampire sucking the life out of her.

"Not less than the maximum... always..." she mentally reminded herself of one of the principles by which she lived.

Instead of answering the referee's question, the Sand Lizard clenched her jaw so hard that some could hear the gnashing of her teeth. The Frenchwoman was determined to fill her lungs with air to at least relieve the pain a little. It was necessary for her to throw her hands up and grab the wrist and forearm of Harmonia's hand that was on her neck. Harmonia was in an advantageous position now and it was almost impossible to get free with the help of pure physical strength, Charlotte knew that.

And she also knew that joints are vulnerable places that affect nearby parts of the body. Therefore, the Sand Lizard intended to squeeze the blonde's wrist as tightly as possible. She hoped that this would make her opponent relax her hand at least for a second, because in that case Charlotte would be able to pull the Austrian woman's forearm and thereby remove Harmonia's hand from her neck. And if she really succeeded, then she would only have to jerk to the side in order to roll off Harmonia's knee of and thereby breaking this hard submission hold.

Harmonia did'nt want to think about it. She did'nt want to think what Charlotte thought of her. It was not true, it simply was'nt. Harmonia had worked to earn her title as Superstar. She had her body getting stretched, squeezed, bent and punched by Dana, spent every waking hour in the gym, getting stronger, getting better, trying to deserve everything she wanted to achieve. And still it was'nt enough. Still she had to prove herself and deep down under Monis undeniable ego, the fighter in her asked herself if Charlotte was right.

Was she more show then substance? Had she already lost her way?
Harmonia gritt her teeth as Charlotte squeezed her wrist and seeing that the martial artist would'nt relent, Harmonia had to let go. The decision already was made by Charlotte who managed to get herself free but the result was the same. The Martial Artist dropped to the ground but Harmonia would be damned if she gave her opponent a second to breath. With quick motion, Harmonia wrapped her arms around Charlotte from behind and tried to lift her to her feet. If everything worked then the strong middleweight would perform a german suplex, the first in a chain of three...

Realizing that she simply had no other options, Charlotte clung to her opponent's wrist, trying to squeeze it as hard as if Harmonia's wrist was in a metal vice. In another situation, the Frenchwoman would probably be able to use her arms and legs to start kicking and punching the blonde. However, the successful attack of the Austrian woman before this greatly weakened the body of the Sand Lizard.

At one point, it seemed to her that Harmonia was determined to withstand the pressure on her wrist. And it was a bad sign for Charlotte, because now her situation left much to be desired. And if this turns into a long confrontation, then it's not a fact that Charlotte's back will cope with it, because the pain was increasing literally with every second.

Harmonia continued to hold the Sand Lizard for some more time, but in the end she still gave in. The Frenchwoman managed to remove the blonde's hand from her neck, and after another moment she rolled off the blonde's knee. It seemed that the worst was over. However, only someone who has never been in the ring could think so. Charlotte was on her stomach, and her back was free of pressure. But there was still a wild pain in her body.

"Phhh... phhh..." The Sand Lizard was breathing heavily through clenched teeth.

She raised herself on three limbs, placing her right hand on her back, where her opponent's knee had been pressed a few seconds ago. Most submissions holds don't require much effort to cause pain. But Harmonia chose a more than effective option. The result of the blonde's offensive was that Charlotte's body literally refused to work properly. Which in turn gave Harmonia the opportunity to continue attacking, which she took advantage of.

The Austrian woman's arms wrapped around Charlotte's waist, after which Harmonia began to lift her to her feet. Charlotte clenched her fists, hissing painfully. Despite the fact that the blonde was attacking her back, there was pain even in the martial arts master's legs now, it was evident due to the fact that her legs were shaking. She needed to change the situation if she wanted to even the odds. Charlotte even bent her right arm at the elbow, intending to hit her opponent's head. But, unfortunately, it was too late.

First, the blonde lifted the body of the Sand Lizard over the mat, and then she leaned back. Gusts of air began to beat on Charlotte's ears, she knew how this trip would end. And the only thing she could do was to free her lungs from air to reduce the amount of pain and tilt her head forward to somehow avoid being stunned. But it wasn't even close enough to soften the end of this trip.

"Gggaaahhhh!" cried Charlotte in a painful voice.

Her entire upper body crashed into the mat, causing another discharge of pain that went through every cell of her body. An annoying squeak appeared in the head of the Sand Lizard, as if after a grenade explosion. Even though she tried to smooth out the consequences, her mind began to fog up, and her body became several times heavier. This series of attacks looked much more successful than the one she gave her opponent before everything went awry.

Charlotte's face was distorted because of the pain, but she still didn't give up. She didn't know if it would be enough, but she at least tried to move and jerk her legs a few times in order to force Harmonia to let her go. Although, of course, it was clear even to an inexperienced person that this was more an instinctive reaction than a real attempt at resistance.

Harmonia Edelstein had something to prove. She had to prove that she was not just a capable fighter as Charlotte raised the stakes and wanted nothing less for Harmonia to "Live up" to her title she gave herself. And deep down Harmonia knew that her opponent was right. Everyone could call themselves a Superstar but living up to this name was a whole other thing. Harmonia just wanted to be respected in the world of the sport she always loved. Harmonia felt at home in the world of wrestling, since she was a girl she would watch and reenact her favourite matches at their home in the alps. Their home where had to work hard to help their grandparents run their farm. Their home where Harmonia had to handle bulls, cows and horses.

And for Harmonia a strong opponent was nothing like a mad bull. Charlotte in particular had punished the Austrian with devastating blows at the beginning of the match. But Harmonia wanted to be strong. For herself, for Molly, whom she shared the Superstar title with and for all her fans chanting her name and looking up to her. Charlotte wanted to prove a point? Wanted to prove to the world that Harmonia was not worthy of greatness? Of a title? That she was like all the others? Oh, the student of Dana Ashford would show her.

A suddden burst of energy swept through Harmonia as the first german suplex hit. But this was far from over and even as Charlotte struggled, it was'nt a real effort of defense but just the desperate struggles of an attacked animal. Harmonia wrapped her arms tighter around her opponent and slammed her into the mats second time. And finally, gritting she held on to Charlotte for dear life, squeezing the midsection of the frenchwoman with everything she had and slammed backwards again, sending Charlotte into the mats for a third time.

The blonde released her opponent and panted as she was laying on the canvas, a smile across her face. She could say something, mock Charlotte, say something in her defense but ultimatly decided against it. This was a match and no roundtable discussion. What she had to say, she would say with her fists and so Harmonia got to her feet and pumped a fist in the air to an exploding crowd. She turned back to Charlotte who was writhing on the floor and decided to play it safe. She could get fancy later, for now she needed something reliable. She went to Charlotte and sent her boot into her midsection to wear her down a little more for her next move as she got on her knees and brought the frenchwoman up in a sitting position. Harmonia knelt behind her, her breasts pressing into Charlottes neck as her arms wrapped themselves around the head and neck of the martial artist for a sleeperhold in the middle of the ring.

It was difficult for the Frenchwoman to rationally assess the situation because of the wild dizziness mixed with pain. However, she understood that the situation was, to put it mildly, deplorable. Since the start of the match, all she managed to achieve was a few punches and a few kicks. She has heard more than once, including from her best friend, that her nobility does not play into her hands during the match. She had the opportunity to kick the blonde's head when she was in the corner. But she chose a different path.

And that brought her to the current moment. She traded a few punches and a few kicks for punches, a submission hold, and throws from Harmonia. And when the Sand Lizard felt her rival's arms tighten around her waist, she realized that this was just the beginning. The Austrian woman turned over, forcing Charlotte to take an upright position again.

This time Charlotte didn't even scream. And this time she didn't start twitching in an attempt to get rid of her rival's grip. The pain was too much.

However, never say that it can't be worse. Because it can. The best proof of this was that the Austrian woman turned Charlotte over again, and then used the German suplex for the third time. When Harmonia finally let go of the Sand Lizard's waist, the pink-haired woman's legs fell onto the mat while she lay almost motionless on her back.

Her chest rose and fell heavily, while the pain literally shackled her body, preventing her from moving. Gulping air greedily, the Sand Lizard tried to normalize her vision, which was covered with fog. Did she regret her decision to abandon the desire to beat her rival when she was sitting stunned in the corner? Even though Charlotte understood that things could have gone differently in that case, she had nothing to regret.

When she received the offer to join LAW, she had mixed feelings. On the one hand, she knew that the strongest fighters of the planet were gathered here. But on the other hand, the Frenchwoman was clearly not happy about the situation, which she was aware of. The audience is so used to seeing unscrupulous bastards at the top that it has become a habit for them. They thought it was absolutely normal for a fighter to use dirty tricks. They thought it was absolutely normal when a fighter humiliates an opponent both mentally and physically. They thought it was absolutely normal when a fighter was ready to say any narcissistic phrase in order to get a little more rating.

It was for this reason that Charlotte was not going to regret her decisions. It didn't take the audience long to see what she was made of. Charlotte did not break any rules in any of her matches. She didn't use dirty tricks. She did not throw humiliating phrases at her rivals after successful attacks for the sake of self-satisfaction. And she was always ready to show due respect to those who deserve it. Aira and Ember were proof of that. That is why the Sand Lizard heard support from the audience even now, when her things were going very badly.

But, apparently, a series of punches, a backbreaker, a submission hold and three suplexes seemed insufficient to Harmonia. The blonde decided to stomp the naked belly of lying Charlotte, which made the Frenchwoman turn on her side, starting to cough painfully. She would have gladly tried to defend herself, but since she was just a human, after how much damage her body absorbed, it was very difficult for her to pull herself together.

"Now I really could use a dragon inside..." Charlotte thought with some irony, remembering that at such moments a real beast awakens in the soul of her best friend.

But this wasn't about Astrid. Because of that stomp on the stomach, Charlotte lost the opportunity to breathe evenly, which further aggravated her situation, because it meant that she also lost the opportunity to restore at least some strength. Did someone say it can't be worse? What unthinkable naivety. Harmonia continued an already incredibly long series of attacks.

Grabbing Charlotte, she forced the Frenchwoman to take a sitting position, although, of course, it was definitely not a gesture of goodwill. Immediately after that, the blonde's arms wrapped around the neck of the Sand Lizard. In the blink of an eye, Charlotte, who was already weakened, almost completely lost access to oxygen. Throwing her hands up, she grabbed her opponent's forearm, trying to free herself.

But even the most naive person in the world could hardly say that after the wild series of attacks that the pink-haired woman experienced, she had the strength to actively resist. Because of the pain and fatigue, her body felt like cotton wool. She tried to strain her arms as much as possible, but even if she managed to loosen her grip at some moments, it was a very insignificant achievement. Charlotte's face began to rapidly turn red, while her lungs began to exude a truly burning pain. Lack of oxygen is one of the most disgusting conditions that a fighter can experience.

Involuntarily, Charlotte began to move her legs, as if in convulsions. The referee approached the women in order not to miss the right moment. And Charlotte was aware of exactly what moment the striped shirt was waiting for. She tried to force herself to exert more strength in order to break the blonde's grip. And then she felt a tingling sensation in the tips of her fingers. The Frenchwoman knew what it meant. After a few seconds, the fog in her eyes began to turn into darkness. Her arm relaxed and fell onto the mat, while her eyes almost completely closed. Everyone knew what it meant, especially the referee. She took the Sand Lizard's right hand by the wrist and lifted it up. Relaxing her fingers, she released Charlotte's wrist. Her hand fell lifelessly to the mat.

"One!"

Harmonia panted. She had fought some of LAWs finest in the squared circle of this arena but Charlotte proved to be a step up even for the Superstar who had spent the last year with nothing but training, steeling her body for opponents like Charlotte.

Still Harmonia was fresh in the game and had much to prove against the Sand Lizard who accused her of being fake, not deserving the title she had crowned herself with. Well, Charlotte soon notice what Harmonia was capable off.

The adrenaline flooding her body helped Harmonia to forget the numbing pain in her face and the trickle of blood that started to run down her nose. Oh no, she was fired up as she could be when she lifted the sand lizard in the middle of the ring and then slammed Charlotte into the canvas not one but three times.

The crowd already cheered and chanted Harmonias name as her arms wrapped themselves around the french womans neck, her muscles tensing as she slowly brought the woman down, when she felt Charlottes body getting weaker she slowly brought them to their knees as the referee lifted the arm of the pinquette for the first time.

Harmonia held on, even if she knew that this could be it she did'nt undeestimate her opponents. Jem Holland had managed to break out of this predicament before and Harmonia was careful not to fall into the same trap again. She gritted her teeth and strained her muscles, making sure that the Sand Lizard was'nt allowed even a drop of fresh air into her hurting lungs.

The referee lifted Charlottes arm again and...

It dropped a second time. Now there was hope for Harmonia to make her Apex Qualifier a big one. She held on to Charlotte, her breasts squeezing into the sand lizards back and she squeezed her eyes shut so tightly that tears trickled down, mixing with the sweat of effort that started to pour from her forehead.
"Stay down... Stay fucking down...", she whispered through clenched teeth as the referee lifted the limp arm of the frenchwoman for a third time...
Harmonia allowed herself to look as the striped shirt let go and now everything seemed to move in slow motion...

One of the basic principles of any martial art is that a fighter should never take more damage than their opponent. No matter how much skill a fighter has, no one can evade absolutely all attacks, remaining unharmed. Therefore, it is very important to ensure that each attack is equivalent, and even valuable than each opponent's attack. Only in this case, the scales will gradually begin to shift towards the fighter.

In this match, the equivalence of attacks was out of the question. The blonde had more successful attacks on her account than the Frenchwoman. But the most important thing was that these attacks carried with them much more damage than all the attacks that were on Charlotte's account. Series of punches. Backbreaker. Submission hold. Three suplexes. All this was connected into a single chain, which did not leave the Sand Lizard any chance to get out of the submission hold, in which she eventually ended up.

When her hand fell on the mat for the first time, Charlotte's body trembled. The Sand Lizard wanted to move, but could not do it, the body refused to obey the orders of the mind. She hated this condition. The pink-haired woman spent a huge amount of time learning to control her emotions, especially the anger that once overwhelmed her. But some emotions remained with her. Why did she hate this condition? Because at such moments she felt helpless. And the reason for this helplessness was her weakness.

If up to this point she could receive at least microdoses of oxygen, then after the first count, the Austrian woman decided to act for sure. Her arms tensed so much that the Sand Lizard's thyroid cartilage was in danger of being crushed. Now she felt a tingling sensation not only in her fingertips, this sensation spread throughout her body. The referee raised Charlotte's hand for the second time. And it fell on the mat again like a rag.

"Two!!"

The light in her barely open eyes began to fade. The pressure in her head was truly colossal. She hardly moved. Even the trembling in her body disappeared. She could hear the audience shouting her name, trying to cheer her up and help her find the strength to resist. It was still unusual for her. Charlotte never thought she would ever get support. She aspired to self-development through martial arts, not popularity. But this was the reason why she managed to take a place in their hearts. Unwavering loyalty to her strict principles riveted their attention to her. They saw scoundrels every day justifying their actions by saying that victory is victory. But Charlotte, despite the fact that this was not her goal, showed that there is another way. And that real fighters who fight with valor in their hearts still exist.

The referee raised her hand for the third time. Charlotte heard the whispers of her opponent, who clearly did not want the pink-haired woman to continue the match. If the Sand Lizard had the strength, she would have sneered ironically. She imagined Astrid, who did not bind herself to rigid moral principles, slapping herself in the face after Charlotte's defeat. Despite the fact that the Norwegian woman respected Charlotte's views, she found her nobility in the ring a deterrent. And her loss after all the words and actions on the part of Harmonia... would this be proof that it is impossible to win without dirty tricks, excessive self-conceit and insulting the opponent?

"Will it end here?.." sounded in her head. "Like this?.."

On the day when Victoria offered her a contract, she warned the pink-haired woman that a hard road was waiting for her. LAW was not famous for fighters for whom honor comes first. She even suggested that Charlotte would have to change over time so that her principles would not become her weakness. At that time, Charlotte did not believe the words of her manager.
